Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, Commander of the Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces, revealed a strategy for gradually isolating occupied Crimea. The decision not to strike the Crimean Bridge was deliberate and calculated: the goal is to keep the bridge open, leaving retreat as the occupiers' only option. Meanwhile, the Defense Forces are systematically destroying the routes through which Russia supplies fuel, ammunition, personnel, and equipment to the peninsula.

Brovdi outlined his vision in an announcement of an upcoming interview with journalist Caolan Robertson. The Unmanned Systems Force released a short excerpt of the conversation, noting that the full interview would be released later this week. The commander explicitly confirmed that Ukraine is not intentionally attacking the bridge.

"We're not touching the Crimean Bridge, in case you haven't noticed. Let them cross it. Let all those millions cross that bridge, without stopping, into their Russia," said "Madyar."

According to Brovdi, the main target is the logistics of the Russian group on the occupied peninsula. Fuel and ammunition supply routes, as well as the transport of personnel and military equipment, are under attack. This infrastructure supports both military operations in southern Ukraine and missile launches against Ukrainian cities. Logistical pressure on Crimea is already yielding tangible results. Russia is losing tankers and fuel tankers attempting to deliver fuel to the occupied peninsula. The destruction of transport routes has a direct impact on the Russian army's ability to conduct active operations in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia sectors and launch attacks deep into Ukraine.

The New York Times reports that Ukrainian defense forces are launching strike after strike against temporarily occupied Crimea , deliberately destroying bridges, fuel depots, air defense systems, and energy infrastructure. The goal is to cut key supply lines and deprive Russian occupation forces of the ability to maneuver. The impact of these attacks is already changing the situation on the southern front.

The publication notes that Crimea's geographic location, which Putin called an "unsinkable aircraft carrier," is now turning against Russia itself. The Kerch Strait Bridge remains the only direct land link between the occupied peninsula and Russia—and Ukraine has already struck it. Last month, attacks targeted bridges and roads, air defense systems, radar stations, fuel reserves, and the power grid throughout Crimea.

"There's nowhere to hide in Crimea – Ukraine can attack any air defense deployment site, logistics centers, and other Russian military facilities," said Lieutenant General Ben Hodges, former commander of the US Army in Europe.

According to Ukrainian analyst Gennady Ryabtsev, Crimea's weakened energy system "has exposed the peninsula's systemic vulnerability." He noted that Ukrainian attacks have had a cumulative effect and threaten to turn Crimea into a "giant logistical mousetrap." Ekaterina Stepanenko, an analyst at the Institute for the Study of War, noted that Russian occupation forces are increasingly attempting to counter Ukrainian drone strikes by patrolling key routes with drones and interceptors. Russia has been fortifying Crimea for years: tripling the number of troops on the occupied peninsula, deploying advanced air defense systems and coastal batteries, and equipping the territory with missile launchers. Military analyst Konstantin Mashovets noted that some Russian occupation forces on the southern front have already switched to defensive operations – a direct consequence of the escalation of Ukrainian attacks. However, no amount of fortification can change the key fact: Crimea juts out into the sea, making it vulnerable.
