The Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce wedding snub drama continues, and this time it's coming from an
unlikely source, Zoe Kazan. The writer-slash-actress, famous for starring in The Big Sick,
seemingly added her theory as to why the bride's former BFF, Blake Lively, was not one of the VIP
wedding guests. In a since-deleted ex post that went viral on Reddit, Kazan wrote,
I think she didn't invite her because she has come to the end of her marriage plot, thus cutting
off access to her first great subject. Rather than root for her own divorce, she is generating
the next chapter of interpersonal drama for herself via female friendship. Or, as my father
once told me, as soon as you answer one dramatic question in your screenplay, you must pose the
next one, or you will lose your audience. Well, after receiving swift backlash from Swifties,
Kazan followed up a few hours later with this. Hilarious to me that this is being read as
critical. She's explicitly made her love life the subject of her work, yielding many good songs.
Now, as a storyteller, she needs a new subject. What a touchy fandom. DRAMA! To be fair,
Zoe Kazan does know her way around a juicy storyline. Her adaptation of the epic novel
East of Eden, starring Florence Pugh and Christopher Abbott, hits Netflix this fall. It's
sure to be Wuthering Heights worthy. As for her own love story, Kazan has been with actor Paul
Dano since 2007. They have two kids together and are not married. But back to Blake. It's true she
and Ryan Reynolds did not attend the wedding of the century and reportedly were upstate in Lake
Placid instead. In May, the Gossip Girl actress and Justin Baldoni settled their years-long legal
fight, but not before dragging Taylor Swift and her private communications into the mess, leading
to a reported rift. Here's what we said in January. Is Taylor Swift's song cancelled about
her bestie Blake Lively? Bombshell new court docs all but confirm this, and Page Six has the most
shocking text messages from the It Ends With Us drama right here. In text between Blake and Taylor,
the singer slammed actor-director Justin Baldoni, writing,
Yep, the same tiny violin from Taylor's song. She also called Justin not strategic for agreeing to use her song
My Tears Ricochet in the movie's trailer. Why? Because it gave Blake more power over him. Blake
agreed the move was, quote, stupid, and when Blake asked Taylor to endorse her revision of the script
without even reading it, the pop star texted,
I'll do anything for you. So what did Blake say about Justin? It was just as brutal.
She described him as a chaotic clown to one of her Hollywood pals, Ben Affleck. And here's what
she texted to Taylor following the now-infamous ambush at Blake and Ryan Reynolds' New York City
apartment. You were so epically heroic today. I recapped every moment to Ryan. I kept remembering
stuff. You making s**t up about me and lenses, and referring to yourself as my doll. This clown
falling for all of it, but also resisting it. You were the world's absolute greatest friend ever.
