There's no gasoline at Crimean gas stations. Diesel fuel is available in some cities, but the prices are exorbitant. This is being reported by outraged Russians living in Crimea, who are recording videos from gas stations. In one such video, a Russian woman expresses outrage at how the Russian authorities have abandoned those who moved to Crimea. She recalls the promises the country's political leadership made to Russians that they would provide everything they needed and take responsibility for everyone, but this never happened.
A Russian woman is outraged that it's now impossible to live in Crimea, that all she can do is survive, while Russian television reassures her and says the opposite. Russian citizens illegally residing on the annexed peninsula are demanding answers to questions about what's happening. Videos are also increasingly appearing online showing endless lines at Crimean gas stations, where car owners stand in hopes of buying gasoline. Fuel prices, which have risen significantly amid the shortage, deserve special attention.
A massive fuel crisis has hit Russia's Kuban region : kilometer-long lines and fights are forming at gas stations, with crowds threatening to riot. Cars are lined up four deep, and waits can stretch for hours and even days. In some places, gas stations began refusing to fill up to drivers with Crimean license plates. In Irkutsk, a veteran of the SVO tried to skip the line to get gas, but was met with resistance from a man with a gun. According to local media, the situation is particularly dire in the Temryuk district and Anapa. Residents of Kuban complain that Crimean drivers are hoarding fuel, leaving locals forced to wait in lines or rely on what's left. After allowing up to 200 liters of gasoline to be transported across the Crimean Bridge, the flow of cars from the peninsula has only increased. Fights and vehicle damage have already been reported at some gas stations. 93.ru reported that in the village of Golubitskaya, a driver's tires were slashed after attempting to cut in line. SOTA reports that Cossacks have been recruited to manage queues at gas stations in the Krasnodar Krai, and some gas stations may be designated at night only for emergency services, municipal vehicles, public transportation, and garbage trucks. Videos are also circulating on social media showing drivers chasing fuel trucks, with people trying to get to the fuel first. The fuel crisis in Russia is no longer just an economic problem. It's becoming a social strife: queues, fights, interregional hostility, and government attempts to manually distribute gasoline. Russia has transformed from a gas station supplier into a fuel importer as a result of the so-called "SVO." The country began purchasing gasoline from India.
Gasoline from India is being transported to Russia by sea. One source reported that 60,000 tons of Indian gasoline have already arrived in the country. Another source reports that two tankers are involved, one carrying 30,000 tons, the other 40,000 tons. A third source reported that the Kremlin plans to import approximately 400,000 tons of fuel from various countries, including Belarus. At the same time, gasoline consumption in the Russian Federation currently amounts to approximately 110 thousand tons per day. Meanwhile, the fuel crisis in Russia is gaining momentum and has already affected almost every region of the country, including the occupied territories. Gasoline and diesel fuel are in short supply for both businesses and ordinary citizens. Many gas stations have been forced to close, while others are experiencing long queues, and strict limits have been imposed.
