Okay, so apparently we're going back north today, but this time you guys are staying home. Okay, because you're not allowed to go where we're going today. It's funny, they don't look nearly as excited today. As they were yesterday, right? They're kind of like, uh... We'll just chill here today, you guys. That's okay. We're kind of exhausted. Are you tired? Memphis is like, wait, wait, no, no, no, I'm tired. And Oakley's out. She's cuddling with her ball and her raccoon. Aww, hi cutie. Alright, let's see you guys in a little bit, right? See you in a little bit? See you in a little bit? Bye girls! So when we drove up here yesterday, the lake was nice and calm. Today, it's angry. Holy man, look at up there. Those are big waves. Those are huge waves. Crashing on the ice. Man, on the way home, if it's still this angry, we might have to stop. One angry lake. Lake Huron is angry today, you guys. Wow. Crashing into the snow. Yeah, we might have to stop with my mom and dad. Apparently, we didn't get enough of the blue ice yesterday. Because we're back! But we brought your parents. Mom and dad wanted to see the blue ice. Holy wind. It's very windy. I think it's windier today than it was yesterday. Let's find out. Ready? Yes, yes it is. Holy cold! Oh my gosh! Alright, we're gonna go look at the blue ice. Are you getting out? You're like, maybe. Dad and Jamie walked out there. That wind is just whipping. It's so cold. So much colder than it was when we were here yesterday. The ice, you can't see it, but the ice is just going across the lake. It's so crazy. So there is the ice on the lake. Oh look, there's a wall. Oh, there's some ice on the lake. And it's so windy up here. You can see dad's truck getting blown this way. Look at how it is. It's so windy on the bridge right now. This ice on the straights is moving so fast. Back there is all the blue ice. We're heading north. Oh, there's more over there. Look, more ice. So cool. So we were literally here yesterday and it was like 47 degrees. What is it today? So it's 20 degrees colder today than it was yesterday. It's so cold today. Like in comparison. Yeah, I can feel... As soon as I went past that pillar, the wind stopped and I could feel how much I was fighting the wind. So the other day I read a news story. Remember how the last time, not the last time, but one of the last times we came across the bridge, we told you about the people that stopped to take a picture. I guess last week, when we had the big snow storm down by our house, there was white out conditions on the bridge. So I mean, you can see the bridge. Basically, we wouldn't be able to see my mom and dad in front of us because the snow was blowing across so hard. It was a white out condition. Well, in those conditions on the bridge, you basically make sure you have your headlights on and you just drive a little bit slower. What you don't want to do is stop or turn around. And apparently somebody decided, as they were halfway across the bridge, which the bridge is almost five miles long, they decided to turn around. They caused an 11 vehicle accident. Yeah. Because... They had a 45 minute shutdown of the bridge. Five hours shutdown of the bridge. Oh, was it? Yeah. So they tried... Five hours? They tried to turn around. Which, you know, you're not supposed to. But apparently when they tried to turn around, cars coming from that way, they couldn't see them because it was a white out condition. There was an accident. And then I guess... To be honest, I've seen vehicles drive over that little hump in the center. It's not that big of a hump. No, it's not. If you were going to turn around, just make a U-turn. Don't make an eight point turn. Don't turn around on the bridge. Just keep going. Just go slow. Yeah, just go slow. You'll survive. There's only been two cars that have ever gone off the bridge. One was blown off and one drove off on purpose. Right? Oh, there's more of that ice. Oh, yeah. It's getting blown up here. There's some bigger pieces over there. And this side is like clear. Yeah. I can see dad's truck. Right. I can hear the sand hitting us. That's what I said when I rolled the window down. The first thing that happened was I got sand in my eye. They don't salt the bridge. They use sand. Because it's over the water? Yep. And I had sand in my eye. Yeah, I could hear it hitting the car. Look at those guys in those trailers. 20 miles an hour. Yeah. Drive slow, dude. Drive slow. Yep. It's a big bridge. Oh, yeah. There's more blue ice over here. It's not as big as the big chunks back there. There's some on my side that's a little bit bigger. Oh, yeah. I see them. And down there. Ah! It's so windy! Through the grading, I guess. Yeah. Not like on the other side. And then, yeah. Oh, it'll move on your side. Yeah. It's rocking. It literally is just... There's some big pieces. There's some huge pieces of ice right here. Can you guys see that? It is just rocking and rolling from those waves. Yeah, some of this ice isn't as blue, but some of it does have the blue tints to it. It's like a mixture of the ice that was here and the new ice that formed. I don't know if you guys can see this, but... Oh, there's snow! Oh, there's falling ice. We need to get off the bridge. That probably fell off a car. I don't know if you guys can tell, but look at the top of the bridge. It's completely foggy. It's fairly decent visibility, but there's definitely some fog. We're going back the other way across the bridge now. And it's super windy. Still. So the car's beeping because Jamie has the keys. We're trying to get some cool footage of the waves out here with the GoPro. And it keeps disconnecting. When he comes back, I'll show you what happened. Shoot! So as I was running back from the water because it's freezing cold out there. Because I went and set the GoPro out the first time and then Jamie went and picked it up because it fell over because of the wind. You see that ice on the ground right there? Don't run on it. Because... I'll show you what it does to your hands. Yeah. Is it going to focus on my hands? Oh yeah, you can see. Split my knuckles open. That's going to hurt pretty bad later. I didn't fall. I fell, but you didn't fall. I saw you running too and I thought, don't run. You just yelled at me not to run. So hopefully that's getting some good footage of them waves. Mom! That's perfect timing. Made it home just in time to feed them lunch. That was the plan today too. We want to be home before their lunch time. We did pretty good. We did pretty good, didn't we? And now daddy's going to the rental house to fix the furnace. We have a rental home and the furnace went out, so... He's going over there to see what he can do. Hopefully he can fix it when we don't have to call anybody. This is what happens when you try to edit video and you have dogs. We're going for a ride? You want to go on an adventure? Worked on our computers. Because we've been gone for two days basically. We were gone yesterday and we're gone most of the day today. What's wrong Shelby? It's snowing outside. Do you want to go outside? You better go get her! Wrong dog! You gotta wake up the other dog. Good stretch babe! Yeah? Tell her! Tell her you want to go outside! Tell her! She's... She's sleeping! Oh! I forgot to tell you guys. Jamie got the furnace fixed at the rental house. That was the other thing I was supposed to tell you. Wake her up! So the furnace at the rental house is working again. Yay! What? You got... You guys to wake... We gotta wake up the sleepy dog. Tell her! Tell her to wake up! Look how sleepy she is! I don't know! Oakley! Memphis, you gonna try?
