Famous German apple cake that delights the whole world! Incredibly juicy and incredibly delicious!

For the dough:
Zest of 1 lemon
2 eggs
120 g sugar (1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon)
80 ml vegetable oil (1/3 cup)
125 ml milk (1/2 cup).
2 teaspoons baking powder
270 g flour (2 1/4 cups)
5-6 g salt (1 teaspoon)
6 dried figs
3 apples
1 tablespoon vanilla sugar

For the vanilla cream (pudding cream):
1 egg
2 tablespoons sugar
30 g cornstarch (1/4 cup)
240 ml milk (1 cup)
Bake for 50 minutes at 180 °C (350 °F).
For dusting:
1 teaspoon powdered sugar.
