Catherine Steals the Show in Emerald Green Gown & Favorite Tiara at Nigerian State Banquet
Princess of Wales stuns in flowing green gown and favourite tiara at Nigerian state banquet.
Welcome back to Royal Insider News. Tonight, we're bringing you the highlights from a truly
dazzling evening at Windsor Castle. On March 18th, 2026, King Charles III and Queen Camilla
hosted a magnificent state banquet in honour of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu. This marks the first Nigerian state
visit to the UK in 37 years, and the Royal Family did not disappoint. The banquet,
held in the historic St George's Hall, brought together the best of British diplomacy and royal
glamour. Guests enjoyed a spectacular display of tradition, with toasts, speeches, and of course,
those iconic tiara moments we've all been waiting for. And stealing the show once again was the
Princess of Wales. Catherine looked absolutely radiant as she stepped out in a flowing,
emerald green evening gown by designer Andrew Jeyne, long-sleeved, billowing design,
had a dramatic yet elegant silhouette, perfect for the grand occasion. The rich green hue
even beautifully echoed the vibrant colours of the Nigerian flag, adding a subtle nod to the
guests of honour. To top off her look, the Princess chose her absolute favourite,
the stunning Lover's Knot Tiara. This pearl and diamond masterpiece, once a favourite of Princess
Diana, sparkled brilliantly under the lights. She paired it with elegant earrings that once
belonged to Queen Elizabeth II, a touching tribute to royal heritage. She also sported
her King Charles III Royal Family Order, with the GCVO sash and star. The Prince of Wales wore white
tie with the Windsor tailcoat, and his most noble order of the garter sash with the lesser George.
Meanwhile, Queen Camilla sported a cream embroidered gown by Fiona Clare,
with a sapphire and diamond tiara with matching earrings, both belonging to Queen Elizabeth II,
and given to her by her late father, George VI, as a wedding gift. The King also wore a blinding
array of diamond-studded orders as he led the procession into the banquet hall and stood to
give a speech. It was a night of strengthened ties between the UK and Nigeria, filled with
meaningful conversations, cultural exchanges and timeless elegance. Events like this remind us why
the British monarchy continues to captivate the world, blending history, diplomacy and sheer
glamour. The Princess of Wales truly glowed, proving once again why she's one of the most
admired figures in modern royalty. If you loved this recap, hit that like button, subscribe to
