The Customer Didn't Like It. Neither Did We. (1966 F100 Build Update)
Jason walks through this 1966 Ford F100 slick side build and the one thing that didn't go as planned — the interior. The customer saw the color in person, second-guessed the choice, and Jason agreed it wasn't right. So they're tearing it out and starting fresh. That's how it goes sometimes when the standard is getting it perfect, not just getting it done.
This truck is stacked. Whipple 3.0L supercharged Coyote, six-speed manual, brand new chassis, and FFG's all-in-one radiator setup with the condenser and intercooler packaged together for 61-66 trucks. There's a lot hiding under that hood and Jason breaks down how it all fits — because a Coyote swap is never as simple as people think.
We're also showing off some brand new FFG billet parts on this build. Our 1961-66 billet aluminum door handles are now available on the site — polished, clean, timeless design that fits the look of these trucks without going overboard. And coming soon: a matching polished billet side mirror that mounts from the inside with no visible screws. This is the first truck to wear both. Still waiting on the custom billet hood hinges for the 61-66 slick sides before this one's fully buttoned up. More updates coming as we get closer to done.
