Another person commented that instead of changing the Boy Scouts, it would have been better to add a second division to the Girl Scouts. You could have the traditional Girl Scouts that have the more feminine qualities, as well as one for more adventures, so that girls can learn similar things like tying knots, camping, without removing the good policy of having boys and girls separate. One man mentioned that as a boy, there was something so great about being able to experiment and grow and learn without the embarrassment and the pressures of a co-educational situation. I was surprised to see that some of these comments came from a man who's worked in the media for years, on television as a journalist. I don't think of him as a very conservative person, he seems like more of a liberal. He thought this was a very bad decision and it was more to make a point, something like virtue signaling, instead of actually being a good change. Of course, many people commented that this is another thing happening in the woke agenda. One comment was from a young man who was in his early twenties and he said he enjoyed scouting himself and he thinks that this will compromise the very spirit of scouting. Of course, the Boy Scouts themselves, or the Scouting America, claim that the only thing that's changing is the name.
