When you saw the pictures of Lampedusa, where every year, every month, new people arrive across the Mediterranean,
we just have a picture like that,
what phenomena are connected here? Is it migration? Is it labor migration? Is it failed development policy?
So if you zoomed in on what is not possible, but I know it anyway,
then you would see that 80% are young men and 80% are black.
So they come from sub-Saharan Africa, mixed with some Moroccans and Algerians.
And if you look at their countries of origin, you will see that most of them come from so-called safe countries of origin.
And if you look at their educational biographies, you will see that most of them do not even have the educational equivalent of a German primary school.
And if you look at their further fate, you will see that 80 to 90% will end up in Switzerland, in Austria, Germany.
Of them, 95% will get some form of residence permit and in the end they will all move in with their families and then have extensive child support with us.
And in the end, these people live, since they do not have an adequate education,
largely from German, Austrian or Swiss social services.
Will the European decisions that have been made recently,
such as accommodation at the external borders, rapid processes, withdrawal agreements, which do not yet exist, will they change anything?
You are pointing in the right direction, but I will return to the picture of the water pipe.
If a water pipe has five holes and I die for one, four holes remain.
And the problem of the water outlet does not change anything.
So in the end, so far, the courage and the spiritual cowardice or also the inner honesty and consistency are missing,
to really approach life as it should be approached, namely in its entirety.
Now, when it comes to the phenomenon of migration, we usually don't talk about money.
Politics tries to regulate this mostly for moral reasons, but also for reasons of avoiding controversy in silence.
Wolfgang Schäuble has created a 48-billion-euro fund, I believe, to cover the subsidy costs to some extent.
What are the current migration costs? Can you quantify that?
Yes, I estimate the amount that is currently falling in the year at around 50 billion euros.
I have to calculate different things. I have to calculate what people get in terms of money, in terms of housing support.
I have to calculate what health care costs. Those are also double-digit billions.
I have to calculate the extent to which the police are being burdened.
I have to calculate what happens at the schools, where the lessons are already collapsing.
I have to calculate what happens on the housing market.
And if I calculate all of this, then 50 billion euros a year is an absolute subsidy.
And why our Bundeswehr is so insufficiently equipped, why our trains roll over the bumpy tracks,
why so many highways are brittle, that's all the money that is no longer available because it is spent on wrong migrations.
But the Bertelsmann Foundation is now conducting studies on a regular basis, where the balance of the economic gain from migration is determined.
And if I remember correctly, the Bertelsmann Foundation regularly comes to the conclusion
that migration in general contributes to a positive balance for the people's economy.
The Bertelsmann Foundation is an ideologically driven institution that uses the money of the founder Reinhard Mohn
to propagate politically correct opinions with billions of dollars.
The renowned migration researcher Ruud de Koopmans, who is active here in Berlin, a Dutchman,
has said to the calculations of the Bertelsmann Foundation that they deny any scientific basis.
And I say that too.
For Schuller's questions, I spoke to Thilo Sarrazin, who actually wrote the standard work on the subject of migration.
Germany is getting by. And of course I asked him whether Germany has already gotten by.

Absolutely worth seeing. Take a look.
