James Bond is a secret agent working for MI6 under the codename 007. Actors portraying him include Sean Connery, David Niven, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig in 27 films. Eon Productions produced all films because currently, the studio holds the rights to adapt Fleming's entire Bond novels. Only Casino Royale (1967) and Never Say Never Again (1983) were produced by another company.
In 1961, film producers Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman bought the rights to film Fleming's novels. They established Eon Productions and with financial support from United Artists, began producing “Dr. No” as their first film, directed by Terence Young, with the role of James Bond played by actor Sean Connery. And the movie was released in 1962.
Currently, in the List of James Bond Movies, there are 27 films, with the most recent “No Time to Die”, released on November 8, 2015. The series became one of the six highest-grossing series, with a total revenue of nearly 7 billion US dollars. Considering inflation, the film has earned $14 billion at current prices.

Best Visual Effects for John Stears in Thunderball (at the 38th Academy Awards). Best Sound Editing for Per Hallberg and Karen Baker Landers. Best Original Song for Adele and Paul Epworth in Skyfall (at the 85th Academy Awards). Best Original Song for Sam Smith and Jimmy Napes in Specter (at the 88th Academy Awards).
