A View to a Kill is the third 007 film directed by John Glen and the final appearance of Roger Moore as 007. In A View to a Kill, Bond encounters Max Zorin (Christopher Walken), who plots to destroy California's Silicon Valley, USA.
The film was produced by Albert R. Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, who co-wrote the screenplay with Richard Maibaum. A View to a Kill is the fourteenth film in the series of James Bond films produced by Eon Productions in 1985. This is also the final Bond film to feature Lois Maxwell as Moneypenny.
Despite its commercial successes, because of Moore's age (he seemed too old to be playing Bond at that point), A View to a Kill still received mixed reviews from critics. The A View to a Kill theme song by Duran Duran is the only Bond theme song to ever hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and receive a nomination for Best Original Song at the Golden Globes.
