This is BIG..| Carolina Hurricanes News and Rumor

Everyone is talking about this because it is a big move in the hockey world the Hurricanes are being tied to another trade situation for Alexander Nikishin and this time it involves not only one of the same teams we've been talking about it also involves a new team that just might have a piece the Hurricanes are looking for this could be the answer or just another rumor welcome the Hurricanes Digest I'm Jeff Testanero I invite you all to like share comment and subscribe click the notification button when you do subscribe for everything Hurricanes via Hurricanes Digest speaking of everything Hurricanes we're also over on X at Keynes Digest click follow now for more over there what if the Keynes could turn Nikishin into hella buck and it was another team to make that possible also rumors of a pretty pretty big name is demanding a trade out of Raleigh but first here's the framework all right Carolina gets Connor hella buck Detroit gets Alexander Nikishin and Winnipeg now gets Seidman Edmondson from Detroit yes Detroit could be in the mix now as well the route the This is just a rumor but there have been many discussions and articles surrounding all three players for Carolina the attraction is so obvious using the key shin as the central asset in a deal that brings hella buck over to Raleigh which has kind of been the goal all along now Detroit Edmondson wants out of Detroit so Detroit would replace Edmondson with another young defenseman while Winnipeg would get Edmondson instead of Nikishin so let's just go over this real quick Detroit gets Nikishin Carolina gets hella buck Winnipeg gets Edmondson the last part is what makes it totally interesting a third team can totally change the dynamic and a third team can change the return enough to make a conversation possible we don't we hear that there's conversation we don't hear there's not conversation but a third team there have been a lot of third teams linked to this deal and now this includes Detroit who is looking to move Simon Edmondson and that would help Winnipeg out but would this particular return satisfy everybody including some of the players involved from the Carolina perspective yeah I guess yeah of course it would we've been talking about this for months I'll think about you what you want from a goalie in a playoff series you want someone who can keep a one-goal game within reach someone who can survive a rough opening period someone who can give your forwards time to find their game and the attraction of pursuing a goalie of Connor hella buck stature you really can't sneeze at I would hate to put busty on the bench I would hate to see whatever would happen to go check off bussy did come in game three I know buzzy came in game three Stanley Cup final pretty much won the cup for us but it's an 84 game schedule and he looked quite rusty in game two of that against Washington Connor hella bucks just sitting around my view is that Carolina would have to evaluate this decision about its championship window how much does it upgrade in goalie improve your chances immediately and how much future value are you willing to surrender to get the improvement such as Connor hella buck because Nikishan cannot become an afterthought just because hella buck is in the headline if you believe Nikishan can be a major part of your defense for years moving him carries a real cost you could love the player coming back and still spend the next decade watching the player you trade away become absolutely phenomenal that's what makes this a very difficult decision from a Carolina perspective now you have Detroit okay my first first question would be why would acquiring the key should produce a better outcome than keeping Edmondson Detroit would need to believe in the player the fit and its ability to reach an agreement with him otherwise you could chase the name involved without finding a workable situation Nikishan would have to want to sign with you that's the problem we're facing he didn't want to sign with the Rangers luckily he has a real agent now so maybe he'd sign with Detroit but he needs to see upside not sure where there's more upside than in Raleigh but that's me for Winnipeg I would ask a different question is Edmondson the centerpiece you actually want and return for Connor Hellebuck we've heard reports that they want a goalie involved to back up Skinner that's why could check off names been thrown around out there now a trade proposal can look balanced on a graphic while the team's value the players very differently perhaps Winnipeg would want an additional app set perhaps Detroit would perhaps Carolina would perhaps they would all believe you know its contributions are enough already that's where the infighting begins those are hypothetical negotiating questions but they're actually where a clean three-way player idea could become a much larger transaction do they really want a goalie in Winnipeg an exchange how bad do you want it you need all three front offices to agree with you on value you need to reevaluate contract situations involved you need the money to work out then you need every required player approval in place finding an appealing destination for one player does not automatically make the entire arrangement possible or plausible for the Canes I would also want a clear plan for the rest of the goalie room and the defense after the trade we're seeing rod work that now in games Riley is in the lineup tonight but we'll get to that in a minute you're buying a complete roster every major addition change changes the resources available for everything else that's why everybody needs to agree including the players basically the key should has to want to sign there that's what we're holding out for you got some more trade talk rumors are now flying around that Coconemi is demanding a trade out of Raleigh it came down from a finish site that Coconemi is demanding a trade from Carolina due to being stuck in the same situation he was in last year originally KK was picked up by the Canes from Montreal with a lot of promise but nothing really panned out on the ice for both sides with new additions last season such as healers Paul and others KK found himself on the outs and finishing the season and the entire playoffs sitting in the skybox as a healthy scratch rumors of a buyout of Coconemi's contract were everywhere at the beginning of the offseason right after they won actually during the parade that was going on and he was even reported to be linked to Nikishan in trade framework to go elsewhere those rumors have died out but reportedly the spirit Coconemi wants a trade out of Carolina and he wants it now speaking of KK he is in the lineup tonight when the when the Canes head to Montreal to face the Canadians in a playoff rematch the schedule makers in the NHL this year really want these playoff rematches Philly went Carolina's way which is nice hopefully Montreal can too the lines are pretty much the same Coconemi stepping in there on line four with Jankowski and Robinson Martinuk Stahl healers of course you got blanks Blake Stank and Hall and Carrier is still hanging out on line one with fetching a cough and uh-oh Mike Riley is on the defense in the starters crease looks to be Brandon bussy tonight in Montreal versus let Canadians let's Canadians let's Canadians works works for me if you want more we are over on X at Cain's digest click follow for more over there I really wish something excuse me something would come along to get an occasion either in a Canes uniform I'm gonna settle for out of Carolina I really don't want to say his name ever again so hopefully something comes down there was word last week that a trade would be done by the weekend it is Tuesday so clearly not now this three-way deal including Detroit to the Carolina Winnipeg the mixture is there who knows we'll see tonight big game for the Canes in Montreal facing the Habs I really hope they can pull together I would really hate to lose the Montreal tonight especially after what we did to them in the playoffs if anything else comes down I will let you know until then for Hurricanes digest I'm Jeff Testanero let's go Canes beat the Habs tonight
