The NFL HATES seeing this...
Sep 23, 2026
The NFL hates seeing this and it's awesome for Broncos fans because it means the emergence
of a player that had a lot of question marks from the 2025 season and has had a good start to the
2026 season. Obviously week one almost doesn't count because almost everyone played badly
or poorly but this now this time around with the Jaguars game things are much different. People
play a lot better. The defense in particular I want to talk about and shout out because we you
the reaction to the game yesterday it was clear that it's like okay the offense just the way
they pulled it together in the second half but it really wasn't just the offense the team pulled it
together and I want to shout out Riley Moss and I mean we'll be doing that throughout the video
and just the defense. Q Robinson kind of coming for that other spot on the other side of the
defensive line across of Nick Benito. I'm excited to see his development. He already got a sack
which was amazing so I will be talking about all of that. Make sure to subscribe join Broncos
Digest. I'm Sebastian your host and let's just jump right into this man let's not waste any time.
So first things first we don't have I was gonna say I did not have a graphic. Okay here we go
here's the first graphic. So Riley Moss I mean he holds himself to a high standard. He said
that there was an interception that he dropped that was going to be a pick six and that's going
to keep him up at night. Considering he already got an interception from the game the fact that
he says he's already he has plays that's going to keep him up at night that feels amazing. I love
that he is already holding himself to that standard. He's also holding the defense to
a high standard. He said that regarding just the fact that they he said that to be honest
13 points is too much. They held the Jaguars one of the best offenses in the league to 13 points
and he said we allowed too much. We don't want to hold it like like we want to shut out everybody
or at the very least hold them to single digits. I love that like like they they're not letting
week one define them. They're saying that we know what our standard is just because week one was
just a debacle on all fronts doesn't mean we've lost our identity. We still know who we are and
Riley is part of that part of that identity keeping that together keeping those standards high keeping
those goals high. I mean it was just everything everything was just amazing and I just you know
when it comes to the game itself Brandon Walker from Broncos Wire said although Moss had an
illegal contact penalty to negate the the Benito strip sack he more than made up for it with a
third quarter interception. Moss's turnover completely turned the tide of the game leading
to the the first Broncos touchdown of the game tying the contest at 13 points. Moss also nearly
had a second interception showing that his offseason training camp performance was no
fluke. Moss is geared up for a big year with Sertana on one side and a better Riley Moss on
the other. Denver could shut down entire offenses in 2026 and that's just it's so sick to like see
this like kind of finally come to fruition. We know what we have with him he's amazing.
Sia Banninger from Predominantly Orange said the entire Broncos defense played outstanding against
the Jacksonville Jaguars but Riley Moss is the one who ended up making the game-changing play.
After wiping a beautiful strip sack by Nick Benito off the board earlier in the game due to the
illegal contact penalty Moss found redemption with an interception on a badly telegraphed
throw from Trevor Lawrence. It doesn't get talked about all that often but Moss actually tied for
the NFL lead last season with 19 passes broken up. That's somewhat expected considering he was
targeted in more of his in coverage at a career high 118 times. Moss has become known more for
his issues with penalties than his ability to cover which is top tier. He had three passes
defended against the Jaguars bringing his total up to four already this season. And that's the
is like when you have a hall of fame level best corner in the league several years running
you know former defensive player of the year on one side yeah people like they people don't
even target him the Jaguars I think targeted ps2 once and he uh I think it was btj he was so
blanketed that they're like like btj had to like try and like tackle pat pat certain to even get
like you know uh try and get leverage to get the ball back like it was just an amazing like display
of just how like fruitless it would be to even target pat certain in any light uh but yeah like
it's just you know riley it was such a clutch moment for him like so tim lynch from mile high
report said that he has to start when talking complimenting the uh the team with the defense
the offense was stumbling around for two and a half quarters and the defense hadn't shown up with
fire in their bellies this game could have gotten out of hand early uh instead every time it seemed
like the jaguars were going to step on their throats the defense stood up and made a play
in my mind none was bigger than one uh than the interception in by riley moss he'd already had
himself a pretty good game with three passes defended and two tackles but with the jags
crossing midfield again up by a touchdown they couldn't afford to let them add more points there
riley moss made a great play and turned the tide and i just love all this to say
riley is he he is the definition of a guy who just is misunderstood by the nfl anytime that
you know like like for example we were going to go into a playoff game just wait everyone's gonna
be like riley moss is a liability like they'll be saying that like oh you obviously can't target
but riley moss can get got is is how the they'll you know pronounce it or whatever um and i would
just i i've been on the riley my riley moss defense uh defense like this you know for years
now and it just feels like you know he's been getting better and better he he like has embraced
the challenge of being across from ps2 so well he knows that like listen i'm not as good as ps2
no one is but like i'm obviously proud to be his running mate like i'm to be the corner across from
him some people were like debating after last season like is jquan mcmillan gonna be the guy
to take over for riley moss it's gonna be you know mcmillan and and ps2 as the two top corners
i just don't think that's the case i think riley is really making a name for like okay it's gonna
be riley he's gonna earn that extension and which kind of sucks because jquan mcmillan is
also extremely clutch i mean he is made for the big games which feels like it adds to the urgency
of this season trying to win it all because you know when you have that many guys who are able to
perform well in the clutch you can't pay everybody um where are we getting into like the sudden of
it this week because there was a con a contract thing that happened with sudden that made people
go oh it seems like the gearing up for the future in a way that i don't know it's gonna be
controversial for some broncos fans um but overall i mean listen i mean i just riley right
now strong start to the season i'm liking what i'm seeing i don't really care who wins it between
riley and jquan mcmillan whoever is going to be the better cornerback too is just gonna be the
guy who deserves it i mean like i trust sean and uh his talent evaluation i trust uh payton and
um a lot i mean they they you know vance joseph and his system we got exposed in week one we
weren't ready we weren't prepared in the way that we thought we were gonna be we realized okay we
have a tough stretch coming up game wise we got to go out and earn it and uh so the broncos seem
to have taken on that challenge really really well um just like riley moss you know like it's it's a
it's a mindset that riley's had for several years the broncos as a team now have realized to kind of
consolidate that into a way where it's like okay we have to be better than what we thought we were
and they rose to the occasion against the jaguars they got their revenge um and now they've probably
already moved on to okay we're playing sunday night again we're on prime time um i don't even
know if they're focusing on the prime time aspect of it but it's gonna be big game after big game
when it comes to the broncos they earned that last season and now they got to live up to it
there's there's a consistency factor to being a great team and i do believe that you know the
broncos are going to make sure that that that was not a mistake that this wasn't a one-time thing
i'm sure a lot of chiefs fans nick writes out there believe that you know the broncos had a
flash in the pan uh it is the the job of the broncos to make sure that they they have unfinished
business that this is a team that mostly stayed consistent with the roster from last year with a
few additions like jalen wattle who was fantastic obviously against the jags that are meant to help
repel this team to super bowl winning caliber not just making the super bowl so q robinson i'm
excited for i i expected him to be the guy to step up and be the guy across from nick benito
as the pass rushing duo the new pass rushing duo for the broncos i mean we don't even know what's
with jonathan cooper um but it just seems like okay so they had ellis maybe as the guy who's
initially going to be uh the starting pass rusher q robinson is quickly making a name or is you know
putting in uh his name as to why he should be the guy and uh he just looks like better fit so far so
we'll find out soon on uh how good this defense can be this year and whether they can live up to
last year they said they said that they are looking to break the sack record obviously not on pace just
yet we have a lot of good competition to go up against but i'm excited nonetheless what do you
guys think about all this what do you think about riley's performance q robinson's performance the
defense's performance uh yesterday against a good jags offense and liam cohen's team
uh let me know in the comments down below until next video i'll see you then
