This is why the Broncos are FAVORITES...
Sep 2, 2026
This makes the Broncos favorites and it needs to be addressed because the absolute craziness
of like everyone overreacting to like Justin Jolly being like cut and then picked up by the
Dolphins that is a difference between a top tier AFC team and a bottom tier AFC team and we're gonna
be talking about why this team is so deep and why they are poised to be not just AFC favorites but
like gonna be right there I mean listen I get it we're not as like you know good as the Rams no
one is right now in terms of pure roster look and honestly you can even argue coaching but like that
is more debatable in my opinion but just honestly it's there there is a clear difference between the
way that the Broncos front office thinks and what the fans care about they don't care about some
fallacy costs like if they drafted some guys they didn't make the team that's because the team is
that freaking good not because like oh they just whiffed on a draft pick so it's I just this draft
is so not important to what this team is trying to accomplish this year and we'll be talking about
why and just how deep this team is in general so buck your seat straps subscribe to the channel
when you get the chance hit the button down below like share comment and share your thoughts I mean
is the fandom overreacting or is there you know a proper reaction is there is that what you're
seeing from the team so or from the fan base but without further ado let's just jump into this
because we have less than two weeks before the AFC showdown or will the AFC West showdown between
the Chiefs and the Broncos in Arrowhead cannot wait it's going to be super super electric and
it's time to you know get one to know and get that one game lead on the Chiefs to start the
season out so with that being said let's talk about this roster so you know the Broncos on
Sports Illustrated they were talking about the folks on Sports Illustrated specifically Eric
Trickle he did a great list here sorry of what like what position groups on the team are deep
and what are like potentially the biggest weaknesses and I kind of wanted to just go
through this as a video and talk about whether I agree with him or not but for the most part
you're going to be seeing me say that the team is deep in a position for the only ones honestly
you know you get it like let's just kind of get started so the first one that they talk about
quarterbacks there's three of them obviously that being Jared Stidham Sam Ellinger and then
you know Bo Nix being you know our lord and savior but they said the biggest strength of
this group is the continuity the Broncos you know no changes there they kept all three
quarterbacks on the 53-man roster no quarterback on the practice squad it's really coming down to
they just they just have like they feel like they work best as a trio like they help each
other on the sideline if you're on the practice squad and don't get elevated for a game day
you can't be on the sideline so it seems like they feel like there is a benefit to having those guys
there and you know maybe they bring in one guy like Stidham or maybe they bring another guy like
Ellinger who they think matches up better against certain defenses that they have different strengths
Ellinger obviously a bit more you know acrobatic and he has a bit more of an escape mentality
whereas like Stidham more of a pocket passer he will you know just kind of do exactly as the play
designs that will you know very much you know become a stilted way of playing especially when
like in harsh weather conditions like we were in the AFC championship game so they just offer
different strengths and that's that's why I'm predicting they did all three of those guys on
their running backs we do have four of them obviously JK Dobbins leading the charge the
strength being the versatility Broncos have good versatility in the running back room with Dobbins
capable of a little bit of everything Harvey being the receiver back and Coleman being a well-rounded
out-of-the-box guy that you can put in on like third or fourth and short and just trust him to
get some yardage especially with our offensive line and then obviously Tyler Bidet being the
special teamer guy the weakness uncertain depth like once you kind of get past JK Dobbins you
know he was obviously had such a strong start before his injury last year and he's made this
promise that he's going to be on the team or he's going to play every single game that is a promise
that he will not be able to actually keep like I mean not to say that I know he's going to get
injured but there's no way he can guarantee that so we'll see if Harvey does makes any improvement
as a runner obviously it seems like his pass catching hasn't switched a beat because he
made that awesome grab against the Packers in that pre-season game for a touchdown
Bowe dropped it in the bucket perfectly but still great catch by Harvey and then regarding the
receiver room this is probably the deepest it's been in a long time obviously Waddle
elevates that room to a new new heights but given the training camp that Pat Bryant had
this offseason I mean the wide receivers one two and three I challenge many teams to have better
ones you know like just in terms of just what they offer and how they complement each other
so what regarding what they said on here they said the strength is the deployment versatility
I agree completely every single one of these receivers can line up at least two different
spots in the formation Davis Webb is going to have a field day creating plays play calls for that
and Denver can use this to its advantage and to force matchups that they want not what the
defense forces on them the weakness is too many mouths to feed that is the best weakness to have
for a receiver room and that might be part of a possible trade that comes by the trade deadline
where we're considering where the next position group here tight ends possibly the weakest group
on the team maybe next to inside linebacker but uh the tight end group led by Evan Ingram after
that there's basically they said here the strength there is not a strength when it comes to this
tight end room the Broncos still have one of the worst tight end rooms in the NFL if not the worst
that's a bit harsh but um this group has underachieved for the last few years despite
modest efforts to get more out of the room having three guys returning would normally be a good
thing but not when it was one of the worst units in the NFL a year ago weakness take your pick
blocking is an issue even from Denver's blocking tight ends the room also lacks a consistent
receiving threat the Broncos have dealt with multiple injuries to Ingram and Adkins it wouldn't
be surprising if the Broncos make a new addition to the room in the coming days they could use it
I am a huge huge uh fan of um how I'm a huge fan of the commit to the Broncos like that that
particular trade because I don't think it would cost too much to be like at worst a day two pick
but I don't think it would cost that much and you know if we can make it a day three pick and maybe
like add in like Troy Franklin or something in there uh I think commit would be a perfect addition
without giving up too much like trade capital to go and get him um but what do you guys think
about that am I you know overselling like the usefulness of like a commit on this team or do
you agree with me that's like you see the blocking upside and the receiving upside it was commit who
made that amazing catch for Caleb Williams in the playoffs against the Rams why not us what if he has
that kind of a catch in the Super Bowl against the Rams this year we'll see I'm dreaming but am I
dreaming um so offensive tackle obviously that's like one of the hugest strengths uh they said the
bookend tackles are the biggest part of this that like we have you know McGlinchey and Bulls are two
of like the best starting uh duo tackles in the league uh arguably you know the interior is also
just an insanely good uh interior offensive line led by um just Ramirez and like some of these
amazing guys uh the age is obviously the weakness that we're going to have to like deal with
you know probably getting their replacements in sooner rather than later uh that came with
Cage Casey being one of our draft picks who did make the team so uh good for him in that sense
and then Frank Crum is on injured reserve uh hopefully we'll be back and seeing them soon
the interior offensive line you got you know Ben Powers, Luke Wattenberg, Quinn Miernes,
Alex Bojuski, Cage Casey, and Alex Forsythe I think that was a fantastic group not much else to say
their weakness just there were some injuries in the center position this offseason but nothing
too lasting a lot of the guys have been back in practice uh lately when it comes to the defensive
side of the ball the interior defensive line maybe not as strong as last year just considering the
fact that we lost Sean Franklin Myers to the Titans and now uh we are dealing with like a
rookie with Tyler Ognjenam who I mean obviously made the 53-man roster unlike most of his drafts
class but you know this is a good this is a deep group you know the core is intact uh the
weakness is just replacing JFM so I mean honestly all things considered
I love Malcolm Roach, Uzrake is great, DJ Jones, I mean Zach Allen might as well I mean I think he
earned like all pro honors in like 2025 or sorry 2024 uh Savion Jones I just and all these guys I
love a lot of them the outside linebackers the strength is the depth Q Robinson being fantastic
DeAndre Tillman, Jonah Ellis a lot of these guys are gonna be stepping up in you know basically
the place of uh Jordan Cooper yeah of Cooper and who is on the commissioner's exempt list
we will find out whether or not that is something that you know we are going to have to worry about
or not uh or how long that lasts we'll see most people are predicting that we will be without
Cooper for the first two to six weeks uh inside linebacker this is the other one that is probably
the weakest group I would say uh next to the tight ends I don't think it's as bad as the tight ends
I like Strenard a lot Singleton gets bashed on way too much by the Broncos fandom he is not good
in coverage by any means but he is a great great leader for the locker room and people respect him
and I think that means a lot more in an NFL locker room than people like to give credit for so uh
they said that the strength is the lack of depth or sorry the strength is that uh there's no way
around it Singleton and Strenard are both solid enough starters but they're both severely limited
the depth is the weakness is what I meant to say and that's true you know you have Turner
right behind him but besides that there's there's you know we have Red Murdoch on the practice squad
probably will get elevated at some point during the season but nothing too uh exciting there
cornerback this is one of the strongest groups that we have here the talent is elite the depth
is elite weakness Jadae Barron that is an interesting statement by uh Sports Illustrated
that like you know singling someone out is unfortunate he's kind of the odd man out because
of just like the competition in that room is insane and just the lack of need for Barron so
it just felt like you know I mean this team probably would have had Emeka Ibuka if the
Buccaneers didn't pick him so uh that is currently what we're looking at the situation where Jadae
Barron is just might also be a trade uh you know candidate if we are seeing things kind of plainly
safeties I think Hufanga and Brandon Jones are fantastic the strength they say is the special
team's ability like uh you know Devon Key being one of the backup safeties sure I guess depth and
injury history sure that that's fair the depth on a lot of positions that's gonna go for a lot of
teams is a bit of a concern uh for the safety room but the starters are both fantastic um special
teamers a little worried uh when it comes to Will Lutz I think Crosshaw's coming out on better and
better but uh Lutz you know he's only getting older we you know he misses some kicks that you
wish that he you know could have back and so that that is something that might warrant a video if it
becomes a problem in the you know in the season but for now the experience is better to have than
just going with the rookie especially when you're going for a Super Bowl so all that to say what do
you guys think about all these different you know uh positional uh strengths and weaknesses
do you agree here uh do you disagree what do you feel and is this the best team in the AFC I know
asking Broncos fans I'm basically expecting a yes but I'm still curious what you guys think
of this analysis by Sports Illustrated let me know in the comments down below and until next
video I'll see you then.
