Mindfulness with Leia - 03 Aversion

Softening the Fight Welcome to the third video of our exploration of Aversion. Today we will talk about cultivating a gentle response to inner resistance. Aversion often arrives as tension—a kind of inner bracing.
It says: "No, not this."
It might show up as a sensation in the body, a thought in the mind, or a mood we didn’t ask for. Sometimes we meet that tension with even more tension.
We resist the resistance.
We get frustrated with ourselves for being frustrated.
Today, the practice is simple: Can you soften around the resistance?
Not to make it go away… But to meet it with less fight, less pressure.
Softening doesn’t mean collapsing or giving up. It means staying present with kindness—offering the body a little space, a little breath.
As you sit in contemplation, notice if there is any tension or irritation left in your body. Allow space for this discomfort
Rather than fixing or adjusting anything, breathe into those places.
Let the breath meet the tension like warm sunlight—soft, steady, and kind.
Can you say silently to yourself:
It’s okay to feel this.
I don’t have to change it right now.
I can just stay.
When you soften around aversion, even just a little, then you stop seeing it as your enemy but as a part of the human experience.
