Josh Jacobs Eligible for Potential Green Bay Packers Return

Very strange announcement that broke a little later this afternoon regarding Josh Jacobs and the Green Bay Packers. And it appears that Josh Jacobs is now off of the commissioner's exempt list, which means he's basically eligible to come back next week or at least would be eligible to play. I believe also Micah Parsons is scheduled or at least they're hoping will be back on the field for the defense of the Green Bay Packers. here uh again that can change it feels like a fluid situation for both guys to me but the Jacobs thing is very interesting because he's still he's suing for the videos not to get released i would be shocked if the NFL has not had some sort of investigator already see what's going on here but the fact that they put him or took him off the commissioner uh the exempt list means unless we hear something different he could very well be starting for Green Bay next week which is good news i guess for Green Bay but then to me they can pull him off the field again so it's a very weird situation right now it's kind of like in flux with him in the Packers yeah i have no idea what to make of this story this one seems really bizarre bizarre here because he's definitely uh missed a number of games that if he was going to get suspended the NFL could just simply say because of missing the six games that was your suspension for whatever uh happened which we really don't know right but then there is this video that nobody's seen you bring up a good point it seems reasonable to think that the NFL has uh seen the video and all we're doing is we're just reading the reports from ESPN and some other folks saying that he comes off the exemption and he's eligible to play next week but uh you know the thing for me Joe is it's look i suspect that you know anything can happen here i mean i i don't i'm not trying to insinuate that this is a Ray Rice video or anything like that but you remember what happened to Ray Rice the second that video came out he never played another down in the NFL so uh look i i i guess yes you know for now plan on on that i suppose i this is affecting fantasy i know in a big way everybody's running now to the waiver wire again and like let me pick this guy up which is which is there's nothing that can't hurt you by by doing it but i i would say that probably tuesday wednesday next week if we see him with a helmet and we see him practicing i think it's probably fair to say at that point that it would be good to go but you know sometimes the NFL works like this joe and we go through the weekend and then monday comes and we hear uh you know something different from the NFL so look their running game has really struggled lloyd has been okay they've played brooks a little bit packers definitely have looked better the last two weeks than they have the first three weeks so now all of a sudden you're thinking maybe they're back in it maybe it just took them some time they get going and i think that's fair and look at the end of last season also jacobs really wasn't that good either they were using emmanuel wilson a lot and then wilson signed a free agent contract with Seattle so you know it definitely helps Green Bay on the field but i i like you i'm very confused with this one and i think that i'll just play the TBD game until i hear more next week yeah and the whole point of the commissioner's list is that they can keep guys in this spot guys away from the field uh now with pay by the way this wasn't without pay it was with pay but we had heard six games well okay so you went out of your way on a friday news dump to let everyone know that he's off that list after this week if you were planning on keeping him on the list or it just seems that the timing of it being i'm with you very strange but you're right about the packers worst rushing attack 60 yards a game on the ground the worst in the NFL so yes they can absolutely use uh especially at this point a healthy and there's no reason to think that he's not healthy Josh Jacobs which would go a long way to helping the packers not going to help this sunday night of course against the Dallas Cowboys uh as that line is still with Green Bay a slight favorite i i think the return of Micah Parsons could help the packers a little bit more at this point than maybe uh josh jacobs anyway because to your your point it wasn't like he was a 2000 yard rusher a year ago he was you know they rode him in some of the colder weather games and then that was the end of that he got hurt and then it was it wasn't great so no uh they they need defensive help, I think, more than anything else, and if they can get a healthy Micah Parsons on the field, that's a to me, that moves the needle more than Josh Jacobs with the Packers.
