Ciara Miller's Shocking DWTS Exit | Previously On Podcast

Welcome back to Previously On. My name's Alexa. And I'm Kristen. And we are back for Dancing with the Stars. This is really gearing up. Oh yeah. Definitely a shock. I think so too. Should we start with that or should we go through it? I know, I'm like, do we get right into it? So the theme was Mariah Carey night, which I think in itself, the themes this season are so interesting. I like them. Yeah. I feel like usually they kind of have the same vibe going for every year. But this year it's like Mariah Carey night, next week is Super Bowl night. Yeah. And I actually just saw a tweet, we'll find out if this is true, that Ezra will be dancing to the song that Spongebob sings when he does his whole Super Bowl performance. I was seeing people say that Guillermo and Whitney should do Rihanna when she was pregnant. They should. Yes. Genius. And he already pulled a Rihanna song, so he's already in that world with her. And speaking of which, Guillermo's still there. Yeah, Guillermo is still there. Last set of the week. Crushed it this time around. Yeah, I think he did, which was interesting because I think he had a lot going for him. Last week we were praising his progress and saying, you know what, he's really actually doing a lot of work. This week, I don't know. He was trying his best to do the dance, but he was also just kind of doing whatever he wanted. He was crawling on the ground. And I was like, oh my God, is he okay? My heart actually stopped for a moment. I did think they were playing like, oh, he died, he gave his life to this, but no, he gets right back up, crawls a little further. They did great. Obviously, their numbers were not very good. At the bottom of the totem pole, yes. But they survived. The voters voted and kept him there. They did. So how about we go down the order? Let's do it. Okay. So first we had Ciara. Yes. Ciara Miller and Brendan. Number one to go. And yeah, very interesting that this is how we started the night. I do think she improved. I think she got confident. I really thought her technique was good. She was flipping all about. I was like, okay, she's finally finding herself. I thought so too. And I thought it was really funny because I think if you're a fan of Summer House, you've seen her play these different characters for some of their parties. And this was like giving her a chance to be a character. And I think that helped her step into what we got to do on this dance floor. Agree. And the only thing is like the outfits. I'm like, who is picking? They look like they were in Hogwarts. A little school girl. And they had a little dash of yellow. We will get into that as well. Little foreshadowing for you guys to stay tuned. Yeah. Very interesting. But I do think she left her heart on the dance floor. So that was great. Ezra was next, which obviously he's been a front runner from the very first show. I'm shocked that they had him in the beginning. Yeah. Because I feel like usually you put like the best or at least the fan favorites at the end. Yeah. That's a good point. Yeah. But it was interesting that they had him like go second. Right. Which, yeah. I mean, he's always great. I really liked his leg lifts, which were very impressive. He was going both ways in very different maneuvers. Yeah. He is. I'm shocked that he's never danced before. Oh, I know. He's flinging himself all over the floor. Flinging. And his hips are like liquid. Yes. Now I think they're really going to have to, the only problem with being so good in the beginning though, I feel like, is like you have to keep one up in yourself. Yes. And so then it's kind of hard because then you start to plateau and people get a little bored. Yeah. Totally. So it is interesting. I mean, I think he's still crushing it, but he's got a lot to prove, but I thought it was funny too. Daniela was mentioning that her DMs are flooded. I know. Everyone is lusting after this man. I love it. I'm like, Daniela, search the name Alexa. Yeah. Can we like maybe sweet up Alexa? Send him this way. Yeah. Yes. But yeah, I kind of like that because that's kind of what happened with Robert Irwin last year. Yeah. With like all the girls at the DMs. Yes. And I think Ezra is pretty young. So this might be the first time that he's getting like a lot of this kind of attention. Obviously he's a Paralympian athlete, but this is a whole new stage. Yeah. No, I love this for him. Yes. I think it will do good. So then we did Harry Shroom Jr. Yeah. Another fan favorite came on the game early on. Right. Which again, we talked about how he is shooting Grey's Anatomy. They showed a little bit this time too of them. I thought that was cool. Yeah. I thought they were actually rehearsing in between some of their takes, which that's tough. So tough to go from like all serious, like a medical guy in scrubs, then he's in the parking lot like cha-cha-ing. Yes. It's like that is... You got to learn your lines. You got to learn the dances. Yeah. That's a lot. Very impressive. I thought it was funny too though. There was a whole element there with him that like Jenna kind of gives him permission to kind of go do his own thing for a second, have a little freestyle moment. I don't know that that's landing for me. I don't know either. Because first we had the scream. The scream. Where he just yelled. I was like, oh, like, okay, fun. Right. Pushing boundaries. Getting vocal. And then this time he did some like robotic. Yeah. It was some fierce arm movements. Yeah. I don't know that I love that. And I think he's such a good dancer and they're a great pair that I don't think you need that. Yeah. I think the jump on top of her alone was the moment that we needed at the end. Yeah. I totally agree. So that was a really good one. Jenna Dewan with Val. Mm hmm. I again, I think it's really beautiful. Mm hmm. And it's funny because I think we were talking about the first week or two. Like, oh, they're flirty. Like, they're such a hot looking couple together. Right. However, I think they've gone like in the total opposite direction. I think so, too. To where they're not quite meshing and they don't really have this chemistry as much that we were kind of getting in the first week. It makes you think like did something, huh? Right. Like, were they reading the comments and saying, you know what? Absolutely not. We are not pushing that narrative. We got to like backtrack. Maybe Val's wife, Jenna, the pro. Yeah. Also. Hey, Val. Maybe tone it down a little bit. I feel like that's such an awkward dynamic to be like, not only like, I mean, we'll get to Riley and Connor. Right. But like to see your spouse like so intimate dancing with someone. But you have to. Like, it's part of it. Right. You've got to play that part. But then to also be in the competition, it's almost like, oh, that must be so weird for them. Yeah. You have to have some really strong trust and boundaries there. But yeah, I don't know that like I think she's really talented and obviously she does have this experience. But I almost think that's like a disadvantage for her right now because she's too much in her head about it. Yeah. I think at the end of the day, I don't think people vote for her. Yeah. Because of how like the other people are. I mean. It's a stacked competition. It is. So I don't know. I think I was still entertaining to watch, though. Right. Very beautiful. As you said. Right. So Tyler Cameron. He was next. Yep. And. OK, yeah, I think he's one that if it was a different season, he would do really well. I think so, too, because he's trying really hard. He is getting better. But there is an intense competition with some of these other people. Totally. I mean, I was really entertained. I think. Yeah. I was kind of getting it this time. I think so, too. Seeing his. Are they married or are they just engaged? They're engaged. OK. Seeing like his fiance in the crowd. Yes. And like with the Rose. I don't know. I thought this was a sweet night for him. I think so, too. And I think Super Bowl night will be good for him. I feel like. That's a good point. His big muscular body. Yes. He can play a football player, honestly. At this point. I'm excited to see that next week. Yeah. For sure. Yeah. He's fun. So Maura. Maura Higgins is next. And she, again, is one that's just been top notch since the very beginning. And humble. Yes. Like I really. My expectations were low. Because she was like. Oh, Mark. Yeah. She's like. What are you making me do? Yeah. But she's crushing it. No. I think she is also like. Shocked. Every time that she does it. Just thinking that she's going to be so. Rough around the edges. Whatever it may be. But. Yeah. She's knocking it out of the park. First nine. First nine of the season. Are very angry. With Carrie Ann's scoring. From. This episode. Just because. Some of these people. Who maybe. Knocked it out of the park. Yeah. And some of these people. Who are. Just getting by. Are getting the same scores. Yeah. I think. And then she's thrown around a nine. Yeah. From Maura Higgins. She always kind of gets this. Carrie. I mean. Every year. Yeah. She's the punching bag. But I feel like. This. Yeah. Her scoring. Seems to be a little. Key. Yeah. I was. Questioning. Some of her decisions. Last night. But I think. Most of the fans. Of the show. Do. Yeah. So. Yeah. And then that takes us to Guillermo. Who we did talk about. And. It was funny. I mean. We'll talk about Jackson. But I don't know. If you saw this. There was drama. There was. Oh. We do have to talk about that. Yeah. So. Just. If you didn't see it. If you didn't catch it. One of the other. Dancing. Baseball teams. Recreated Guillermo's dance. From the following week. Mm-hmm. I'm really enjoying her this season. Yes. And Yon. I'm glad that they're like. I don't know. They just seem like a bundle of joy. Oh yeah. Yeah. She's actually doing really well. She's really good. Really fun. And again. I don't know. If she'll make it to the very end. I'd be happy if she did. Totally. She's very fun to root for. Yeah. And I really loved her story. About her body image. And just that dancing. Is really giving her a chance. To kind of like. Work through all this trauma. Definitely. And she's like. Definitely gaining her confidence. Yes. You could see that she even is shocked. That she keeps making it every week. Right. And like. Again in like a humble way. Where it's just like. So grateful. Yes. And so. I want to keep seeing her dance. I think so too. Yeah. She's a fun one. And Yon's a great choreographer. Yeah. They just have such a fun dynamic. Lipped her upside down. Yes. And all that. I was like. This is getting wild. I love that. It's about time. Yeah. So then we go to Connor Wood. Who. I was just talking to someone else. In the office. Who said. He by far is her favorite. Wow. Which I said to her. I was like. I think I'm just like. A little too old. It's like. I just missed. The Connor Wood. Appeal. Yes. Got it. But. I know. That he is. A huge favorite. And has all these fans. He is. He's funny. He's like cute. Yes. And it makes sense. But. Him and Riley. I'm like. These body rolls. The grinding. That was happening. The worm on the floor. Loved the worm. Yes. But I was a little scared. When Julianne was like. Oh. Can you show us the body roll? Show us. Did we need to pull Riley? I think. No. He could have just body rolled the air. Yeah. I think. That's how you learned how to body roll. You didn't need a partner there. And his facial expressions. I was just like. Oh Connor. Someone's got to tell him. So maybe that was like. A little bit of an ick. I thought it was a little bit of an ick. But I do. I do still like Connor. I think. Right. He's entertaining. And he is getting good. I mean. No. I think so too. I saw him grinding with Dylan Efron. I saw. Yes. And so I was like. Okay. He's like. Actually committed. So. We'll see. But it is getting a little scandalous. No. It is. I think they're such a funny duo too. Because he was talking about. Kind of tapping into that sex appeal. For this dance. I was like. Sir. I don't know that you quite have that. And she's kind of America's. Sweetheart. Girl next door. Yes. Type of vibe. From Utah. Mormon. She was even like. She was like. I've never done this. Never heard of grinding before. Yeah. So. I think. Their dynamic. For this element. Of sex appeal. And like. Connection. It's very funny. But. It is. I want to keep watching it. Oh. Totally. Every time they finish their dance. I literally think. They're about to start making out. Yes. So. I don't know. I'll be tuning in. No. I like. I like that. Yeah. Julia Stiles. I thought. She was just. Pure class. Yes. Like. And then last but not least. Amber Glenn. Yes. Which she literally looked like. She was floating on ice last night. I mean. These two are so talented. And every. I feel like every. Like that. Like move they did. With like the split. The leg. The head under. The leg was this way. It was that way. She was up in the air. She was flipped all around. Like. Yeah. It was. Very impressive. Right. And Derek made a good comment. For everyone at home. Good luck. Trying to recreate that one. Because that is intense. It was all over my for you page. Yeah. Yes. Will get you sent home. Which. Brandon. Has been sent home. Wearing yellow. Now. Three times. Yeah. And it's like. Okay. Maybe we should just change the color scheme for him. Get rid of yellow. Altogether. Just get rid of it. And even Brandon's wife. Posted. Yes. On TikTok. And was like. Oh. Shoot. He's wearing yellow. Yeah. And then. I know. It is a bummer. And Sierra was very emotional afterwards. I mean. They cut the show. Very quickly. After they announced. But. There were some interviews going around. Where she was crying. And she was very upset. That this was the way it ended. I think it's because she was finally getting. She was like. Getting her groove. Yes. And I'm honestly shocked that. Votes didn't save her. Like. I know. Everyone's vote went to like. Kermo. And like. Other people. And. Not Sierra. Like. Where's. Where's Bravo? Was surprised about that as well. And one of my friends said. Maybe people think she's popular enough. That they don't. Like. They don't need to vote. That's a good point. But. That was a big mistake. Yeah. It's so sad. It was so sad seeing her go. Because I. Yeah. I'm a big Summer House fan. Yeah. I'd love to see her continue. I know. And I think this was just so healing for her too. After everything that she's gone through. Emotionally. Whatever. But. Yeah. It was a real bummer. Real bummer. This season is shocking me. I am so excited. For the rest of it. Yes. Super Bowl. Theme is next weekend. Even though it's. Yeah. October. I don't quite know. Yeah. What the songs will all entail. I do hope maybe that SpongeBob song makes an appearance. But. We need Guillermo's Rihanna. Yes. We need Whitney. In the red outfit. Oh my God. That would be so much fun. Yes. And. I thought it was fun too. That they announced the Dancing with the Stars live tour. Yeah. Last night as well. So cool. Which. With all the new pros. And the new. Yeah. And a lot of people were thinking. After last week. Brit would not be returning for the tour. Yeah. Just after the shock of her elimination. But she is there. She's going to be there. And she will be back. Good for her. Yes. I actually went to the Dancing with the Stars live. You did? Last year. How was it? It was so fun. Really? And I know. We were talking about. You know. The relationship aspect of some of these. They're married. Yeah. They're dating. Whatever it may be. It's like. You see it on a whole other level. Their interactions together. Like the married couples. And I'm like. Oh my goodness. Really? Yes. Like them dancing together? Oh yeah. And it is spicy. Some of it. We. Yes. Maybe we'll have to go. I think we should get tickets.
