Welcome back Previously On. I'm Alexa Klone. And I'm Krista Toole. And we are back. This is probably the most insane week of Dancing with the Stars. And I will say in history. Yes, ever. This has rocked the world. Rocked the Dancing with the Stars fan base. Yep. And no one even went home. Nope. We can't even say it was like a shocking elimination. Nope. Yeah. I mean, there definitely was someone who wasn't there. Yes, that is true. Val Chmerkovskiy was suspended for Dedication Night, which I feel like is like the worst night to be suspended. Oh, absolutely. I mean, that and Halloween because the costumes are always fun. Right. But Dedication Night is always just so emotional. It's special for the celebs and the pros really get to work with them in bringing their dedication to life, whether it's whoever it may be. Yeah, so we kind of touched on it last week, everything that led up to this point. Um, Carrie Ann, the judge, was very hard on Jenna and Harry, saying that there was a lift in their routine. People did not like that. People didn't like Carrie Ann's comments. People were shocked. Jenna kind of stood up for herself. Right. Um, and then Val, her husband, was then in the comments section defending her, posted on his own social media a reference to something along the lines of, almost had Fresh Prince come out there last night. Right. Which is alluding to the awful interaction between Will Smith and, why am I blanking on this? Chris Rock. Chris Rock and when Will Smith At the Oscars. Yep. The slap, the infamous slap. Get my wife's name out of your mouth, which in my opinion is what I think Val meant. I think Val meant get my wife's name out of your mouth. I don't think he meant I'm going to slap Carrie Ann. Right, which Val did end up clarifying, saying, yes, that is the statement I was referring to. However, a lot of people took it as the slap reference, and he didn't quite pick up on that other meaning that could have come from his own words. For sure. So then we reported here at TMZ that Carrie Ann was made aware of Val's comments, went to HR, and the network ended up pulling him from the show for a week. yep which has never happened in the entire history over 20 years of dancing with the stars which has never suspended anybody which honestly yeah i do feel like that's crazy they are a family show so i feel like they are very you know meticulous on who they pick and what they say and what they edit in and out i mean it is a live show so it's hard to control that so the fact that in all this time they've never suspended anybody is shocking right and i i was trying to think back of has there been a situation that has caused this much drama right nothing was really standing out to me but this yeah this is shocking to see obviously Val's a fan favorite right and Carrie Ann a lot of fans don't agree with her comments so the fact that he was suspended had everyone in an uproar definitely and good thing for Jenna Dewan though his partner she was still able to perform but with Alan right who was previously booted early early on with Giada yeah so kind of good for Alan to be able to come back on but I'm sure it's a little bit awkward then you have to start from scratch rebuild this chemistry learn their dancing dynamics completely start over for a choreography right um yeah interesting interesting night but I will say Jenna and Alan did a great job great job yeah I think it didn't really hinder them at all which like you said I feel like that would be such a tough it's tough yeah so the fact that they still went out there and had such a cute beautiful they did honoring her mom it was so cute Alan had a moment with her mom she had a moment with her mom it was really good and shockingly enough Carrie Ann gave this dance a 10 and I feel like that was a little bit of a very much some well shade to Val I think too maybe yeah I didn't even think right like well sorry you couldn't get a 10 with your own partner that's true but then Alan and Jenna pulled off a 10 which yeah maybe it is Carrie Ann showing Jenna some sympathy as well you know we're not punishing you for his actions it is kind of crazy the levels that this went because okay sure Val got in trouble right your partner is kind of screwed because they have to start over with someone new your wife Jenna who was also a pro yeah has to still show up to work every day knowing that her husband is in trouble that's awkward so awkward then you're making a Fresh Prince comment when Tatiana Tatiana Ali who was in the show Fresh Prince is also competing on the show so then you've got that level and Alfonso who's also on the show has to host the show super awkward there's so many different people that like this one little comment ended up affecting yeah I think the moral of the story is let's just maybe not like post our thoughts yeah let's maybe take 24 hours right vent at home totally and I love that he's standing up for her I mean right about this last episode about him like kind of backing her up which is like always just super yeah you want someone to defend your wife or your your partner whatever it may be but yeah maybe um just think about it a little bit longer yeah before putting it out there for the world nonetheless he's been lifted from his suspension and he's back to rehearsals and we'll be back for halloween uh next week right i'm very excited about halloween i mean we've already seen bits and pieces of some of these costumes and you know Connor would love to do a hair piece. Yeah. So I'm excited to see what they all come up with in their costumes. I think it'll be a really entertaining night. However, two people are going home next week since no one got eliminated this week. Yeah, which... That's tough. Brutal. And they all are so good. Yes. It's just like, it's really a tough call. I know. And especially this episode. Right. So emotional dedication. I'm always crying. It was so emotional. There were so many moments that had me in tears for sure and then it was funny too i'm sure you've seen a lot of this we had a gender reveal right and then we had a mental health moment that then led into sexiest dancing with the stars pro and then like a Dr. Seuss yes thing two it was a roller coaster oh it really wow i'm so in my feels and then what the heck are we watching right now like why am i watching thing one and thing two just like doing yes it was like a fever dream episode that is such a good way to put it yeah but yeah congratulations are in order for Tyler Cameron and his wife who he dedicated his dance to right and yeah they announced that they're having a baby I know it's so cute it's funny because I don't know like I kept seeing things online and maybe even on the show leading up to it where I was like something's going on here like he's saying it's to moms everywhere but he was dancing with his wife like I was a little confused about that and then when they started showing like tyler and his wife and sharna like in little clips before they actually danced they were only showing from like chest up behind the baby bump as we know now but i was like you were hot on it i was like something else is going on here yes so detective chris it was very exciting for them it was a really cute moment and yeah full gender reveal as well which he's such a girl dad yeah we got him out to um after the show had aired and we asked him about it and he's just like so happy to be a girl dad oh yeah he's letting his wife pick the name doesn't even want to i love it yeah in the ring which is yeah probably for the best for a little girl um but he also said to us that this is the first girl in his family yeah which i was the first girl too so i it's a good life so she's gonna have yeah a lot of exciting she'll be a princess she will yeah it'll be exciting and yeah very sweet moment for them another one that really got me and i think we all were preparing for this was Julia Stiles oh yeah um for Heath Ledger tribute oh my god i i when she announced that she was gonna do it oh yeah which i feel like some way maybe they were like you can do the show but you have to do yeah tonight to Heath Ledger yeah um which i'm sure she had no problem no yeah that's everyone misses him everyone loves him and you just watched that movie I did I was thinking about it was the first time so I'm like I'm raw in my feels yeah yeah that brings it right back brought out the whole cast who stood there and then looked at the photo of him oh I know that moment when they like put their arms around each other I feel like it was healing for everyone who loved that movie and was watching but also really healing for them as well because I mean I don't know how often they talk that movie was such a long time ago that this feels like a good way to bring the group back together and obviously celebrate an incredible actor yeah that was really sweet and then um another standout was Amber's performance yeah dedicating it to her sister and Pasha really like created this mental health awareness element to it which i thought was so beautiful it was so intense her and her sister were both bawling oh my god yeah everyone else in the audience was bawling as well yeah it was so sweet and I honestly feel like that's such a good clip and you know moving song and tribute that if you know someone who's struggling send that to them say that I will be your sister in this that is yeah incredible I feel like when they obviously try to do this with dance but this one like really translated a hundred percent yeah and I feel like obviously because they are like a family show and they try not to get like too dark or too in the weeds and stuff I think this was like the perfect way especially just I mean we're covering so many sad sad stories right now and I think this hit home for a lot yeah yeah I thought it was sweet I think so too and obviously we mentioned Tatiana Ali she did her tribute to Uncle Phil from the Fresh Prince which I grew up watching that show so I just you know everyone knows Uncle Phil like that's so sweet and she got to dance with Alfonso which honestly he was crushing it oh my god so good I feel like she would have been a disservice if she didn't have him on and so that was like the perfect way to like tie in the Fresh Prince connection even though on the heels of Val's comment yeah the heels of the comment obviously we move forward we move on yeah but yeah so good obviously Ezra is our favorite yeah we love Ezra we got the first 10 of the season incredible which again you know Alfonso great his mom was great too so good and so beautiful yeah she was beautiful their story was so sweet i saw a video floating around online before their performance as well of kind of some more home videos of when he was a little boy and she was really fighting the good fight to give this kid like every opportunity possible in the world and yeah for him to kind of celebrate that and hold her at the end of you know you got me for all those years but now I've got you oh it was so sweet and so beautiful and the legs I was gonna say on the prosthetic that is I've seen people because obviously people recreate yeah for dancing with stars all the time but I'm seeing like couples and siblings and people that have like the prosthetic leg yes now they have like a dance to recreate and so I'm like that and yeah that move I wouldn't even think no and y'all are such a good choreographer right I wouldn't even think like let me stand on your like no I know I saw a clip where they were talking about how that came to be and she was like do you think I could stand on that and he was like yeah of course it's like not even a thought it was just like yeah it's just like business as usual I love that they push the limits and I really think that's why he may win this I think so too we've got some real top contenders here sure and um yeah Maura dedicated it to Ireland this one was a little controversial I was saying It was. I had some friends immediately texting as, oh, it's kind of boring. Yeah. Which maybe— Love the flag, love the music, love the little, like, the dance. The Irish stepper, yes. Super cool. But maybe because some of the other ones were so emotional that this was just, like, it felt a little goofy. Yeah, a little. But that's also more— Yeah, she is silly. That's her hair. Like, that's the Irish in her that she wanted to bring out. So it was kind of nice to have, like, a comedic factor. but I think you're right because there was like so much emotion and sadness and she was just like I just want to be Irish and she it was like such an intense dance like she was really like channeling a lot of power but then it was also like yeah the flags and the Irish stepping dancing like it was it was funny but it did it did kind of make me want to go to Ireland again like they were just celebrating her so much yeah I've literally never been and that made it even more clear yeah if you get one person like Maura in Ireland then like what a great time oh my god I bet god just gonna be looking for her yeah yeah exactly yeah I'm glad she did a little fun one she was super fun um and then we had Jackson yeah celebrating his mom as well which I do think going after Ezra with his mom's dance was a tough act to follow they should have mixed it up just a little bit a little more than a country then I like yeah maybe like do like a little different yeah I think Ezra's was just so emotional and Jackson's was like really good and fun totally um but I just don't know that it hit as hard but I think we've kind of said that with him like for most of the week for sure and I do like him like he's not bad he's definitely getting better he's getting so much better you can tell for sure Tyler too yes they're all getting better the men are improving improving yes yeah we're here for it which I think that should lead into Connor because I think I've been a little critical of Connor and I was actually having this conversation with a friend on Monday right before this show aired and I was like I don't know like he just doesn't do it for me like I just can't take him seriously I don't know but I will say after this dance I was changed that changed my mind I thought he did such a good job and even the judges were like hammering home like no you are getting better like totally see it and this was the first dance that I saw it too yeah and it was obviously very sweet dedicating it to his dad which yeah that was fun so sweet yeah I think he is just such a ball of joy I don't know why he is so much yeah but I think you're right I think he's never same with like Jackson they've kind of just been in this like teetering radar right but this episode like really improved I think so so because I was a little nervous yeah now that we're going into like a Halloween fun one I think these boys are gonna shine I think so too I think if you can get them out of their head of being so perfect then they actually get to do really well it's funny that the men are more insecure when it comes to like dancing with the stars then the women like you kind of have to like shake them a little bit and be like you're fine point your toe like they're so macho they're so tough yeah that try to not look weird but then it's like also part of it yeah then once they're like they just let loose and they're like yeah whatever okay yeah I think that's so true which great yeah maybe that's why Ezra is doing so well because I do think he's tapped into his feminine side a little more those hips don't lie for us yeah yeah so then let's go to harry yes which this was so good so good um i loved that he got to have three generations of his family there his parents his wife and his daughter which his wife was crushing it too she was so impressed yeah hello literally had no idea but i guess it kind of makes sense i feel like if you're a dancer yeah i don't know you need someone who can feel the rhythm yeah yeah i can feel them definitely feel yes yeah that one was really cute and um i think i i believe the judges scored them very well too so that honestly feels like a win in jenna's pocket as well like coming off of a rough week the week before just you know the drama that surrounded her this was like a big win for her and i saw a clip of like i don't know if this was before or after, but like Jenna going up to Carrie Anne, yeah, judge's booth and they just like gave each other a hug, so I was like yeah it seems it did kind of feel like when they were critiquing and judging that Carrie Anne was like you're great like no, like I'm not coming for you yeah that's what just makes me this whole suspension thing so odd, like it feels like why bring more attention to it because now it's just a little awkward and because scoring is so I mean obviously the voting of the people we don't know how, yeah we don't have a vote, yeah yeah but like now it kind of feels like now Bella's gonna come back and Carrie Anne kind of like has to score him right, I especially since she just scored Jenna and Alan high, yeah it's kind of like I don't know it just puts such an interesting mood, you you just start reading into every single action and every single choice like so much more when it's probably not that deep no it really didn't seem like it and he even said that he I don't know I just feel like it yeah he didn't mean it in that way dramatic whether it's on Carrie Anne or ABC's end right it just seemed like did we really have to do that no yeah so I believe we covered everyone but um yes shout out to sexiest Dancing with the Stars pro winner Pasha oh wait that reminds me we oh no we did get to Tatiana just kidding yes because I then I started thinking of John yes so it was announced that Yeah, Pasha was the winner. He got a sash. Everyone was so excited. However, if you watch back a little closely, you'll see Jan in the background kind of roll his eyes, like give a little shrug. Clearly not impressed with Pasha's sexiness. Yes. But I saw he did like an interview after, like all the reporters kind of like interview them afterwards. And he was just like, oh, he's like, why am I always on camera? It's like, sorry, you're making the facial expression. we're just attracted to right your facial expressions yeah it was he didn't mean it and Pasha no I think that's his personality where he was like oh they just don't see me like here I am the sexy one and right yeah I love it was so funny and obviously Daniela his wife was like over the moon jumping up and down actually very funny bit between Daniela and Ezra afterwards as well Ezra made a comment of oh yeah we should throw a party tonight to celebrate pasha's win and daniella was like well i'm throwing a party but you're not invited and ezra was like oh my gosh like i do not need to hear that like i don't need to know what's going on there tonight that is funny yeah she was like sorry i'm throwing a party i love that yeah her and i'm sure they did yeah very exciting for that home i mean that that couple daniella and pasha together like they're crushing it oh they're they've got the top two spots yes for sure yeah they're gonna have to battle it out so this just feels like the cherry on top like oh yeah he's the sexiest dancer as well good for pasha yeah he's like so underrated i'm so glad that the season yes really just like shining shining yeah i agree we'll have to stay tuned maybe maybe next week we should wear like um like our little costumes or something yeah yeah we could do that that could be fun halloween is very big in the tmz office it is one of the first things i was told is you have to dress up yeah it's uh so now we have to dress up for the pod god now i need like a fourth costume i know it is a little overwhelming yeah but yeah super excited for halloween two eliminations though so let us know who elimination and one more note next week special guest right sherry ballas who is mark's mom and word on the street is she is one tough critic so i think some of the people we discussed today are going to be in for a rude wake-up call next week. And hopefully she's not, you know, being subjective to Mark. I don't think she plays favorites. True. Especially with Mark, I feel like she might even be harsh Yeah. If anything, she's been in her comment section saying absolutely not. Like, that boy gets my full criticism every day of his life. I love it. Well, we'll have to stay tuned. Let us know.
