Welcome back.
Christmas is still months away,
but it's never too early to start shopping for the holiday season.
And why not shop local this year?
So we welcome back to the show Kim Bardakjian
and as well as Nicole Bagurzian with Town Love,
who brought in some curated grab-and-go gift bags
for the holiday season.
Ladies, welcome to the show back again this morning.
All right.
What is Town Love? Just explain it to us for those who don't know yet.
So we are in our third year. We're both passionate Oaklanders
and we're both proud of our culture as Armenians.
So we decided let's put our talents together.
Oakland, Armenia. Merge it all together as one.
So we created...
We have Town Love, this is our Oakland,
it's a pack we call it, it's a grab-and-go, really
cute, and we really wanted to highlight small businesses.
Oakland specifically is made up of small businesses,
we really try and highlight minority and women-owned
businesses.
So it's a great gift, you're helping positive economic impact.
So you order this pack, and what's inside of the pack?
So inside of the pack are all products made
or headquartered here in Oakland.
We have alfajores from Wooden Table.
We've got Show-Off Salsa Matcha,
Granola Guru superfood bars, Oakland honey,
and a delicious little chocolate bar from Casa de Chocolate,
as well as two coupons, one for Acre in Rockridge and Agave Uptown.
Oh, $20 off at both places.
$20 off both places.
That's what comes in this box here, little items just like this.
So these are the items, some of the items
we have found in some of these boxes here.
And what's interesting about this,
by the way, you have this All-Star 2025.
What's this about here?
What's this?
We also, aside from doing our bags here,
we've been commissioned by different companies, organizations.
This was during NBA All-Star.
Actually, the commissioner of the NBA requested our box.
So we did a Bay Area box.
So we can do.
Kind of a big deal.
We can do custom boxes, too, which we really like to showcase.
Yes, because I remember when you first started this.
And now I see you all on billboards.
Yes, right.
From when you started out before.
On the 880.
On the 880, yeah.
And I was like, wow, they're growing big time these days.
Thank you.
Yeah, so talk a little bit about how your Armenian culture
and your Oakland culture really emerged into all of this.
Yeah, I mean, we started with Oakland three years ago.
And then we said, well, we're also passionate, proud of our culture.
Armenian. So, Nicole, our graphic artist as well,
designed a beautiful...
Oh, I see. Town Love Armenia.
Because it usually says Town Love Oakland.
Yep. And then we branded it Town Love Armenia.
And in this case, we highlighted Armenian-owned...
products from around the country.
So these are all Armenian-owned.
Okay, so tell me what this is.
This is garlic oil.
This is from Boston, from Boyajian.
This actually is local.
We love Henry's House of Coffee and the Sunset in San Francisco.
We have a local artist, a graphic artist, Alicia Kazarian.
We put a greeting card in, one of her designs.
From Fresno, we have some chocolate almonds.
Is this from a...
They're all Armenian companies.
So here we were highlighting Armenians from America,
and then here in the Oakland, of course.
Yeah, locally.
This is a beautiful thing.
Thank you.
And what was the idea behind this?
I mean, getting things like this into the hands of folks who order it.
It's spreading culture of both of these cultures together?
It's spreading culture and also showing all that Oakland has to offer.
There's so much positivity here
and so many great things being produced in Oakland.
And we wanted to share that with our friends and family.
And, you know, same thing applies to the Armenian pack.
So the idea is you can get one of these.
for Christmas here for friends, family, and loved ones.
So if you like to go on, some people send out little gifts every year.
This could be it.
This is better.
This could be better.
One-stop shopping.
Yeah,
even if you send it to someone across to the other side of the country,
you're still saying town love Oakland or town love Armenia.
And you're sending it to them, introducing them to Oakland
and a little bit of Armenian culture as well.
Because we all know Oaklanders especially
are super proud of who they are.
And same with Armenians.
So it's a great way, even if someone is not from Oakland,
you want to just send that to the people of whoever it is.
It's also great for your colleagues, employees, sponsors, donors.
It's just a great gift, something unique.
All right, so how can they go on and order it now?
You can order it now, pre-order start now, but give us the inside.
Pre-order start now.
They'll be shipped in time for Christmas, for the holidays.
Townlovebox.com, we're taking orders.
And we're also going to be at the Joy to the Town.
Yeah, Joy to the Town in Jack London Square
on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend, that Saturday.
I'll be there, too.
It's got a big pavilion.
We'll sell you one.
I've got to count down for the tree lighting for that day,
too, so I'll be there.
Yeah, yeah.
You'll sell me one?
Yeah, I'll sell you.
I can't just take this one?
No, no, we'll sell it.
I can't take this, too?
Ladies, thank you so much for joining us.
Thank you.
And congrats on how things are going so well.
Yeah, thank you.
I'm glad that the commissioner of
basketball also knows about your product.
Yeah, he knows.
That means it's getting, word is getting out.
Word is getting out.
So thank you so much.
Thank you.
And to see it start and spread in such
a short amount of time is a pretty big deal.
Oh, thank you, ladies.
Thanks.
Congratulations.
