Good Thursday evening. I'm Chief Meteorologist Emily Walls.
It has been such a gloomy day around the region.
We've had quite a bit of rain and also temperatures topped out
in the lower 50s, which I know felt pretty chilly,
but that's actually very seasonable for this time of November.
The radar right now, we still have light rain and some areas of drizzle
rolling through that will continue throughout the rest of your evening.
And then during the overnight, we should start to dry things out.
But lake effect rain showers are possible through the day tomorrow,
mainly for Porter and LaPorte County and points east.
So mainly over just a small portion of northwest Indiana.
Everywhere else, we're counting on decreasing cloud cover.
So we'll end up enjoying some sunshine.
And then going into your weekend, things look great.
Lots of sunshine expected for your Saturday.
And then same thing on Sunday as well.
And of course, Sunday is going
to be a pretty big day around the Chicago area.
We have the Bears game, of course,
so that is going to be 7:20 p.m. is kickoff on Sunday.
Temperature's going to be in the lower 50s,
but we will be dropping to about 50 degrees through the game.
A little bit of breeze out there is going to have
a feeling just a little on the cooler side.
Tonight, speaking of cooler sides, 38 degrees for the overnight low.
That's actually very seasonable, but...
You know, it's been a while since we've
seen temperatures dipping into the 30s,
and when you couple that with winds gusting
as high as about 20 to 25 miles per hour,
well, it's going to be feeling like the upper 20s to near 30 degrees,
so kind of a shock to the system
when we step out the door tomorrow morning.
Seven-day forecast, we are at 51 degrees
for your high on Saturday, Sunday 59,
then we are back up to the 60s going into early next week.
