There are some products that I think that we need in Chicago.
Maybe some things you didn't even know you needed.
And I thought, where in the world can we find these?
And I stumbled across the Chicago Live Primetime Shopping Channel.
Yeah, so you know how this works.
I've got some items here that you didn't know you needed.
I'm going to show them to you.
We're going to pretend like this is real.
So remember QVC, Home Shopping Network?
I think they're somewhat still around.
Some went out of business, bankrupt.
It's still there.
It's still the same kind of premise.
So let's go into the first item that you didn't know that you needed.
Are you ready for this?
I've got a great one for you.
Now, this one might make you a little sick
to your tummy a little bit, okay?
But that's the whole point here.
Here's the first item you didn't know that you needed.
How about some jardiniere toothpaste?
Yes, we're giving this away tonight.
Low, low price of $7.99.
Freshen your breath with a Chicago kick.
It's got that real jardiniere flavor in there.
Nine out of ten dentists refused to partake
in our survey for this thing, which is great.
See, you didn't know you needed this, but there's some guy sitting
on the couch right now with that Italian beef going, you know.
That'd be real nice.
That'd be real nice.
So there you go.
Don't call the 800 number, please.
I'm not sure if it works.
I'm also not sure where it routes you
to the website we're still working on.
Okay, so that's item number one
on our Chicago Live Primetime Shopping channel.
Now, this next item, I think,
is one for the sports fan that doesn't quite know which way to go.
North, south, am I Wrigleyville, am I right, where am I at?
This is the reversible.
Cubs and Sox jersey.
Now, we did have to up the price on this because,
again, it's reversible for $69.99.
You could have this.
It's two Chicago loyalties in one.
It's the official, unofficial, official design.
This is for the fan who doesn't quite know
who they want to root for that week.
You wear the Cubs side.
Hey, everyone thinks you're a Cubbies fan.
Great.
Then you go and you switch that thing out.
Suddenly, you're a Southside Sox fan.
All about whoever's doing better.
That time of the year.
So we're going to put these on discount,
I think, as we head toward the holiday season.
So watch for those for the sports fan in your life.
What's next?
How about this one?
This is the construction cone subscription box.
This is phenomenal.
You get a new cone every month.
It's authentic, city-grade quality here.
Now, this is only going to run you $24.99 a month.
Eventually, if you collect these things, put them out on your street,
your street will look just like the real thing.
Lined with cones, some tipped over, you never know which way to go.
This makes you part of the city.
See how great? You didn't even know you needed this,
and now you're thinking, you know, a couple of cones could do me good.
How about this one here?
This one is for, as we talked about the weather changing,
everything else changing around us,
this is for the fan out there who, gosh, you know,
you don't want to wear pants in the wintertime.
You want to wear shorts, right?
There's always one guy,
and usually at a TV station, it's a photographer.
They wear shorts year-round.
These are the Chicago winter shorts.
They are February ready.
They have that rugged cargo design to them.
It's for the guy that likes to say,
you know what, it's actually not that bad out.
You pick yourself up a pair of those shorts,
just $29.99, they could be yours.
So you didn't know you needed those.
Now this next item, we might have to put a patent on this.
For real.
Because we thought of this and we said, you know,
this might actually help us a little bit.
It's the official Chicago pothole detector.
You get real-time road monitoring with this thing.
Now, the problem is the alerts come
into the device after you've already hit the pothole.
You get that loud, unmistakable warning from not only the device,
but from your car hitting that.
Six-foot-wide and 10-foot-deep pothole that's out there.
There's always more than one, as you see in our picture.
That was actually a real picture that we took.
And at some point in time over the winter months,
we will be measuring the biggest pothole in Chicago.
So you're going to need one of these.
$59.99, that is a steal on the Chicago Live Primetime Shopping Channel.
That is item code C307 for those who
are calling the phone lines right now.
To keep on the theme of traffic.
For those who have to commute by vehicle,
how many times you've been on the Dan Ryan,
maybe the Eisenhower, and you're trying to cross the lanes.
You can't see everything.
The semi-trucks are out there.
The big cyber trucks, it's just difficult.
You know what you need?
You need the Expressway Lane Change Periscope.
Now, this is a premium price here, $149.99.
You can see up to five lanes over.
Ideal.
It's roof-mounted.
It's a Chicago tough design.
The wind, the snow won't blow this thing away.
But now, while you're driving, we're all distracted anyway.
You got the steering wheel here.
You just peep over to the periscope,
and now you can see how many cars away, and then whoop!
Make your trek across traffic.
Now, let's say you don't have this product.
Maybe you're thinking, ah, JD,
I just don't have an extra $150 to spend.
That's fine.
How about we cut you a deal on this?
The Expressway Merge Apology Card.
This little LED board goes in the back of your car,
so that way you can kindly let the guy know that you just cut off.
Ah, it happens.
Maps made me do it.
I just had to cut over real quick.
So sorry.
$34.99, reasonable price here.
Item C411.
Having some fun with that one.
Couple of more items left to go here.
Let's finish strong on the Chicago Live
Primetime Shopping Channel.
Now, this is more of a summary item.
When the summer months come back around, but it's one,
again, you didn't know you needed until it was too late.
This is the Lake Michigan Beach Towel Anchor Kit.
Yes, you get four concrete blocks,
each embedded with a little metal ring.
How you cart these around, I don't know,
but they are guaranteed to hold down your beach towel.
So that mean, nasty Lake Michigan wind.
Doesn't whip away that beach blanket.
Now, I would recommend an oversized beach towel
because once you put these anchors on there,
you're going to run out of real estate.
You get all four for just $49.99.
A product that you didn't know you needed.
Okay, we've been having some fun with this,
but now there is one last item every Chicago motorist needs.
I'll let the graphic just explain itself.
Yes, my friends, the Italian beef air freshener could be yours.
All three for just $9.99.
You get wet scent, dry scent, and extra hot scent.
Yeah, what do you think?
Turn your car into a beef stand in just 30 seconds.
Dangles from the mirror.
It's great.
So you didn't know you needed this,
but somewhere there's somebody going,
you know, Hank would like a couple of those for Christmas.
Do you guys really sell those?
Not yet.
Yet is the key word.
$9.99.
From the Chicago Live Primetime Shopping Channel.
Those are all the items that I have for tonight.
If you've got an item, let me know,
and maybe we'll do this again in the future
on our Chicago Live Primetime Shopping Channel.
