It is beautiful. It has been beautiful today.
Let's see what's going to be like the rest of the week.
Nothing drive today and it is nice out there for tonight as well.
Raja, we've got mainly clear skies,
very light wind and that usually means high pressure somewhere close
by and that is the case is hanging out just to our north.
So maybe you want to head outside,
have dinner on your patio or go to a nice restaurant, eat outside.
Weather will be close to perfect for that.
7 o'clock temps, around 70, clear skies,
light wind, around 867, and we're like...
Right around 9 p.m., temperatures in the middle 60s.
There is the big blue H high pressure sitting just to our north.
The Election Day cold front has pushed all the way
into the Ohio Valley, the southeastern U.S.,
so bringing rain to areas like Atlanta,
just east of Nashville, approaching Charlotte, North Carolina,
but not bothering us anymore.
So we are behind the front, enjoying that cooler, drier air.
And it gets even better if you like the chill for tomorrow.
In fact, for Livingston, temperatures likely starting off in the 40s.
Tomorrow morning so a cool crisp Thursday morning for you.
Throw on the jacket. You might need it. 48 degrees for you.
51 for tomorrow morning in Brenham and Liberty and starting off
likely around 52 degrees for you in Conroe and the Woodlands.
How about tomorrow afternoon?
Well, you will notice a few more clouds in Magnolia
and the temperatures will start to heat up a bit.
Those 40s and 50s won't last long.
It'll just be the first few hours of the morning. You'll be near 80
by tomorrow afternoon and same deal for you in Splendora.
Rain chances are slim to none for you in Montgomery County tomorrow.
But if you're in the coastal areas,
you will have a better shot for a little bit of rain.
All right, going over the next five afternoons,
notice the trend a little bit warmer for Thursday and Friday,
but by Sunday, it's going to be a little bit warmer.
The high temperature dips all the way to 65 degrees.
That's actually several degrees below normal.
Normally, we're around 76 for a high, so what's going on?
Well, we have a couple of systems that will sweep through.
The first one going to push through tomorrow evening, tomorrow night.
This one is fairly weak,
and most of the rain will stay out over the Gulf.
Some of that may reach
our coastal areas like Galveston, Lake Jackson, but...
I don't really expect much rain
for Houston tomorrow night. Now let's jump ahead to the
second stronger system.
This is Saturday night and Sunday morning and the rain is likely going
to be a little more widespread
and push a little bit farther inland as well. So notice 7 a.m. Sunday
on our GFS model some of those rain showers reaching places like Sealy,
Katy, Houston maybe
up to Liberty and especially
our coastal spots once again you'll have the highest chance.
For the downpours that pushes out Sunday afternoon and evening
and it's going to be kind of chilly all day on Sunday. Like I said,
highs in the 60s and then overnight lows likely in the 40s.
So there's the low 20% chance for a few showers for Thursday night,
but it gets higher at this point about a 40% chance for Saturday night
and Sunday morning. Temperatures are kind of up and down
a little bit milder, a little warmer for the next couple of afternoons
and then cooler for the second half of the weekend. And notice that 49
9 degree temperature by Monday morning
and it'll stay on the mild pleasant side really for much of next week.
So I don't think we'll be near a record heat again anytime soon.
