Video: Peter Hubbard wins Georgia Public Service Commission sear

Honestly, I think everyone in this room had a role to play in making tonight happen. Um, she Sheila and I could not have done this by ourselves. You've been walking down the road with us, so thank you for taking that journey. It is worth it because there's about 11 million Georgians that live in this state that deserve a better public service provision. And as hard as this campaign has been, I mean, it felt like giving birth to a child. I've been doing this since the last day of my life. Thank you very much. I win. You're out too early. I didn't do this two times, but it's worth it because, you know, we are worth it as people. We are worth it as a state. I also know that the hard work has yet to begin because we have to use this time effectively. Like Sheila said, climate is on the ballot, and lower bills are on the ballot. Gas bills, light bills, accountability is on the ballot. From my balcony. I could see Georgia Power looming and staring over me. They're always there, ever present, trying to extract more of our own wealth. But we can chart a different course at the Public Service Commission. So that's what we're here to do, is to win this thing and get to work with the people of Georgia. So I'm just ecstatic to be with you all tonight and ready to get to work.
