What Followed This Investigator Into His Bedroom

Because we are dealing with forces and phenomena that is unexplained,
that is often steps ahead of us and has command over the space.
That's Brandon Fugal, owner of Skinwalker Ranch,
and he describes the night he believes something
from the ranch followed him home.
For 10 years, Fugal has been the man people point to when they
ask whether the ranch can reach beyond its gates.
And for 10 years, he could honestly say it never
reached him. But that changed after a single day of testing went wrong.
The next night, something
entered his bedroom, his wife's wedding ring disappeared,
and the way it came back has no
No simple explanation.
Hey, you.
You follow us, I'm Christina Gomez,
and this is your UFO News Update.
The hitchhiker effect is the term researchers use when strange activity
seems to follow people away from the ranch into their own homes.
Fugel explains it on the Jillian Michaels Keeping It Real podcast
of what used to happen.
Up until two years ago, I could look everyone in the eye and say, no.
For whatever reason, I'm the owner of Skinwalker Ranch,
and I've never had anything follow me,
and I don't know why. I mean, I try to pray,
or I have someone offer a prayer before I ever enter
either the airspace or if we're entering the property on ground.
He has a theory about why
it took so long. He tells everyone who comes into the gate,
even the crew delivering portable
toilets, to prepare themselves spiritually
and enter with reverence and humility. In his view,
On the ranch is often a step ahead of the team
and has command over the space.
But about two years ago, he dropped that rule himself.
The team ran an aggressive experiment with two helicopters in the air
and dozens of people on site.
A lot went wrong that day.
The sensors were going haywire.
Fugal admits he was feeling anxious and frustrated and even swearing.
And in his own words, he had not been respectful or humble at all.
He flew home that night and told his wife how strange the day had been.
Then, at around 3 a.m., the couple woke up
to a sound they have never heard from their dog, Arthur, before.
For about eight years, he had slept peacefully through the night,
but this time, he was staring at the edge of the bed,
snarling into a dark corner of the room,
and they turned on the lights and found nothing there.
Arthur, the dog, kept growling
for a long time before he finally settled down.
The next night, Fugal's wife went through her usual routine.
For years, she placed her wedding ring, bracelets,
and jewelry in a small dish on the dresser
beside her bed.
When she woke up the next morning, her wedding ring was gone.
She tore the room apart looking for it.
But there was only more to come from that,
and it's the part that Fugel still just can't explain.
Fugal's wife is a devout Catholic who prays the rosary,
and the rosary she uses was blessed
by Pope Francis during a visit to the Vatican years ago.
Out of frustration,
she prayed with it and asked to be shown where the ring was.
And as she tells it, an image came to her mind during the prayer.
The ring was in the pocket of a hotel robe hanging in her closet,
a robe the couple picked up
while traveling that she hasn't worn in months.
She gets up from prayer, walks into the bathroom, into her closet,
finds that robe and reaches right in and pulls out the ring
And is just struck, is speechless by this whole.
Experience.
No.
conventional explanation for it.
Fugle points to two strange events in that one story.
The first is how the ring got into the robe,
and the second is how his wife knew exactly where to
look. Fugle believes this started
because he entered the ranch angry instead of with reverence.

So now the ring is back, but the activity didn't stop.
Night after night, around 3 a.m.,
Arthur woke up, snarling at the same corner.
So Fugel's wife had the house blessed,
and then had someone come in and burn sage.
And I'll tell you, as soon as she had the house
blessed and saged, it was gone. The dog ceased.
The activity in the middle of the night,
and we didn't see anything else go missing.
People, when they talk about the hitchhiker effect,
they also discuss the fact that the
nature of the phenomena is somewhat trickster-like.
We're dealing with a trickster element where
whatever non-human intelligence we're dealing with seems to play games.
Fugel's account fits a pattern from the ranch's government years.
Skinwalker at the Pentagon, the 2021 book written by James Lukatsky,
Colm Kelleher, and George Knapp,
describes the hitchhiker effect reaching the homes of people connected
to the Pentagon-funded program, run by Robert Bigelow.
Those accounts include orbs, shadowy figures,
and poltergeist-type activity hundreds of miles from Utah.
What Fugel adds is a first-hand account from the man
who has owned the property for the last 10 years.
Hiding things and returning them
is not the only way the ranch seems to play games.
Fugel shared another story about his principal investigator
and chief scientist of the last 10 years.
The security cameras inside
the ranch command center kept triggering for hours with nothing
visible to set them off.
The scientist sat glued to the monitor until,
out of frustration, he spoke out loud and
demanded that whatever was there show him something
or tell him something.
Right then, the image on the screen began to melt and change shape.
He hit save and captured it before the image went back to normal.
And upon pulling that up, and then it restored back,
upon reviewing the image, it had pulled
together letters and form from various parts
of that image capture that formed the words
I Living.
And there's no explanation how anything could manipulate
a closed security system in the
moment, triggered by a command in the moment.
The words appeared
on an enclosed security system seconds after a spoken demand.
Fugel showed a copy to Jillian Michaels during the interview,
and he explains that no programmer or technologist he has shown it to
has been able to explain how it happened.
To him, it reads as an acknowledgement from an intelligence
that is part of the ranch environment,
one that can manipulate equipment in the moment.
And it ties back to the ring, actually.
In both stories,
something seems to respond to a request,
whether it's a prayer in a bedroom or a demand shouted
at a monitor.
And the ranch's effect on animals is a darker part
of the whole research and also of the
interview that Fugel gave as well,
because he describes a calf found during an experiment
walking in circles while other activity was underway.
So when the team reached it, the animal was bleeding from its eyes.
Fugel believed something had irradiated it
or struck it in some way, and it was in the
middle of a medical emergency.
So the team called the rancher.
to take the calf off the property right away
and then get it to a veterinarian.
The good news is it survived. It didn't die.
The bad news is it was blind. It was blinded.
There is no explanation.
Fugle places this alongside the unexplained animal deaths on
the property. For him,
the calf is a reminder that whatever activities on the ranch can cause
real physical harm. So where does the investigation go from here?
Well, Fugle answers that.
If there's one thing that we've proven over
the course of the last decade is we have proven and
That we're not alone, that the phenomena is real.
Now understanding the origin, the agenda, and communicating with it
and learning potentially from that which we are interacting with,
I think is going to be a priority.
That changes the mission.
For 10 years, the team's job was to measure, record, and document.
Now, Fugel wants to try to talk to whatever is there.
Every story in this report points to the same way.
The ring came back after prayer, the words appearing after a demand,
and the activity in his home stopped after a blessing.
Each time, something seemed to be answered.
Fugel then describes some of what
the team encounters as meaning no harm
of it as malevolent.
Trying to open a line of communication means not knowing
which one will answer.
If the team does open some kind of communication,
what is the first question you would want asked?
Share your thoughts in the comments.
But Fugle is not the only insider
to describe something strange touched their family's home.
In this video on Jay Stratton's TV interview,
the former head of the UAP task force
describes a humanoid figure at his window watching his son.
So make sure to catch this video next.
