This is CONCERNING for the Bills...
Nov 3, 2026
This is concerning for the Buffalo Bills as quite
a few of the Bills offensive weapons got
beat up in yesterday's win versus the Baltimore Ravens.
So how serious are these injuries
actually? And how does this change the makeup
of the Bills offense going forward? And most
importantly, could some of these injuries have actually
been prevented? We've got a lot to talk
about, a lot to break down.
So welcome in everybody to Bills Digest. I'm Ben Volker and
Here at Bills Digest, we've got you covered

And happy Victory Monday to all of you out there in Bills Mafia,
wherever you may be.
You already know that I've got the Victory Monday shirt on today.
And if you are as fired up about your
Your AFC leading 6-1 first place Buffalo Bills.
Leave a Go Bills in the comments
and let me know that you are as fired up as I am
coming off of that weird 26-point victory against the Ravens yesterday.
It was such a strange game, not what anybody thought.
And if we're talking strictly injury-wise,
we can't complain with what happened to the Bills
because the Ravens' side of things was much,
much worse with Lamar injuring his thumb on the first play.
From offense for him and then Tyler
Huntley later getting injured as well.
So the Ravens forced to roll
with their third string emergency QB for most of the game.
But that doesn't mean
that the Bills didn't have some injury scares of their own.
As always with any game,
you're going to have some sort of injury scares, so let's start
with the most pressing of them, that being Josh Palmer,
who suffered a hamstring injury
in yesterday's game.
So what happened to Josh Palmer?
Well, this happened in the first quarter.
He was running downfield.
Field planted his right foot and his hamstring just gave out.
He took a few more steps, but he fell.
It was very clearly obvious from the play
that he injured himself on that play
and he did not come back and finish the game for the Bills.
And this is just another.
Injury to add to Palmer's long,
long list of injuries that he has suffered just in his
Bills career. His injury issues last year were to his left leg,
and now he is dealing
with injuries on his right leg.
So another injury for Josh Palmer in this one. But
We will get into what that means for the Bills and how
their offense is going to look without Josh Palmer for the meantime
and how long he's going to be out in just a second.
But first, I've got to let you guys know
that today's video is sponsored by Calshi.
And on Calshi, you are trading directly against other users,
not the house, like traditional sports books.
You're buying yes or no contracts on the outcome
of events across sports, politics.
Or even the weather.
For example, here is what we are looking at on Calshi right now.
This is the race for coach of the year.
Of course, you've got John Harbaugh leading
the New York Giants in first place in their division.
Kyle Shanahan with the 49ers weathering
the storm with all of their injuries.
Todd Munkin with the Browns
and their crazy turnaround that they're experiencing in Cleveland.
But people are not talking about Joe Brady in this.
Coach of the year race.
He only has a 4% chance on Koushi right now, which is crazy to me
because now the Bills are in first place in the AFC
and Joe Brady is a rookie first year head coach that is captaining,
leading the best offense in the entire league.
If the Bills end up finally securing that one seed,
that first round buy that they have
desperately been looking for in the Josh Allen era,
you've got to consider Joe Brady as a
Coach of the Year candidate,
which means with this 4% chance that if you place just $25
on Cal Sheet right now and Joe Brady does
indeed end up winning Coach of the Year, you
could win $500.
$85 in return.
So you got to get in while the getting's good on this one.
So if you are interested in trying out Kalshi,
you can use the link in the description,
trade $25 with code digest NFL
and get $55 added to your account instantly.
Thank you once again to Kalshi for sponsoring today's video.
Let's get back to talking about Josh Palmer,
what this means for the Buffalo Bills,
because
We could very well have seen the last of Josh Palmer
in a Bills uniform yesterday against the
Ravens. He was very upset leaving the field.
He ripped off his gloves. He tossed them away,
slammed his helmet. He was very upset about this injury.
And typically with a hamstring injury like
this, you are looking at a two
to six week return window for returning to play. And
I could very well see the Bills putting Josh Palmer on the IR,
activating Skylar Bell, putting him back out there.
Tyrell Shavers coming back from his injury
that has kept him out the entire first half of the season
as he is recovering from his ACL tear that he experienced last January.
But Josh Palmer was already in trade talks.
Prior to this injury,
because he just has not really performed up to what the Bills
had hoped for when they went out and signed him this year.
He's had a few key touchdown catches,
especially that touchdown catch against the Texans, but
he's also had a few key drops as well.
And when you look at his contract, yeah,
it is just not worth what the Bills are paying
him.
So a lot of people are speculating that Josh Palmer might
be shipped off at the trade deadline just as a salary dump
to a team that is just willing to take the brunt of it
and make a deal with Josh Palmer in there.
And we talked about it the other day.
I think Amani Hooker with the Tennessee Titans might
be the perfect fit for Josh Palmer because...
It would be a weapon for Cam Ward.
And you look at what Amani Hooker did against Joe Burrow yesterday,
and you've got to like what he brings to the table.
Now, yes, with this injury, it does complicate things a little bit.
But if a team out there like the Titans
is willing to take on part of this
Josh Palmer salary and help the Bills with the salary dump,
I could certainly see Josh Palmer still being shipped out.
Yes, it does become a little bit more complicated,
but I don't think that is the end-all be-all
with Josh Palmer in trade talks there.
But Josh Palmer may have been the most...
pressing injury that occurred
but the Bills still had a few more injury scares that of course being
to DJ Moore and James Cook who both had some late game scares.
Let's start with DJ Moore because man
he was taking shots all game this was his first game back
in a month he's been dealing with that
shoulder injury ever since week two
and he took some big hits to that shoulder.
Once again, he got some medical attention in the first half
after he took a big hit and fumbled the football.
And then towards the end of the game in the fourth quarter,
he caught a pass and he planted his leg and it did not look right.
It looked like he hyperextended his knee here.
He went into the blue medical tent.
And after the game, he was spotted limping into the locker room.
DJ Moore says that he is okay.
He talked to Cameron Wolfe with NFL Network after the game,
and he said that he told Cameron Wolfe that he was okay.
Josh Allen came and checked on him.
He was fine.
And they were even joking
that he can't miss time after he just got back.
So I think that the Bills dodged another bullet with DJ Moore here.
But, I mean, it was great to have DJ Moore back yesterday.
Here's what he put up, the stats he put up.
Back in action.
With Josh Allen, he got back in the end zone,
logged another 82 yards on four receptions,
and it was just great to see DJ Moore back in there
because he really just opens up the entire Bills offense.
So hopefully this DJ Moore injury is just something
that we can forget about a week from now against the Vikings.
But I think this one, the James Cook injury, might...
Be a little bit more concerning
because just take a look at this screenshot here.
It does not look like James Cook was all right after landing like this.
His head, his torso, his legs, his core,
all bending in different directions.
And immediately after this hit, you saw Bill's teammates motioning
for the medical staff to come out and check on Cook.
It looked really bad.
We were thinking maybe it would be a neck injury, but.
James Cook, like a minute later, popped up,
ran off to the sideline, got evaluated for
a concussion, and came right back into the game.
So maybe the Bills avoided another big injury there.
And man, if they lost James Cook,
I would feel a lot worse about this Bills offense
because James Cook is the unsung hero of the Bills offense.
Everybody gives credit to Josh Allen,
but you take a look at James Cook's numbers, what
he's done.
With the Bills, going back to last year when he was the rushing leader,
he's continued to perform at a high level this year.
If they missed out on James Cook,
we are talking about a very different Bills offense right now.
But I bring all this up.
I said at the start that this could have been prevented.
The DJ Moore injury, the James Cook injury,
yes, they could have been prevented, I think,
because this all occurred on the Bills' second or...
Second to last drive of the game, I believe.
They were up by 19 points.
There was nine minutes left in the game.
This game was pretty much over.
The Ravens had their backup third-string emergency,
undrafted rookie quarterback in there,
and the Bills still had their offensive starters out
when D.J. Moore hyperextended his knee,
when James Cook took that hard fall,
and really that raises the question,
why were the starters in there?
Well, Joe Brady said that he thought that
With the amount of time that was left on the clock,
the Ravens had enough time if they forced three and outs
to score three times and take the lead and possibly win the game.
And yes, I know that maybe technically that was an option, but you got
to look at the game situation, I think, where you're looking
at a Bills team that's up by three scores against a undrafted rookie.
Uh, emergency third string quarterback.
There was no way that the Ravens were coming back in this game.
There's just, there was no way.
So yeah.
Okay.
Maybe if this was the game, same exact game situation,
you're up by 19, nine minutes left
and the Ravens have Lamar Jackson in there.
Okay.
There is a case to be made,
but I just think that Joe Brady made the wrong call on this
one.
And.
They really got lucky that they didn't get burned.
But I want to hear from you guys.
What do you think?
Did the Bills make the right decision keeping their starters here
and here in this situation?
Do you think yes or do you think no that Joe Brady made the right call?
Or do you agree with me and think yes that he should have pulled
the starters because the game was already over at that point?
Obviously, I'm.
On option A here, if you agree,
leave a like on this video and let me know.
And if you disagree, let me know in the comments why I am wrong.
And Joe Brady was right to leave the starters in here.
But that's all we got time for today.
Keep it right here on Bill's Digest.
We will have a ton of more content coming
your way leading up to the Vikings game.
And of course, with that trade deadline looming in the horizon as well.
So keep an eye out for more Bill's content just like
This, as always, thanks for watching, and of course, go Bills.
