Bills Trade Talks INTENSIFYING...
1 Video View·Oct 28, 2026
The trade talks are intensifying for the Buffalo Bills
as the NFL trade deadline nears ever closer.
The Indianapolis Colts revealed today
that they are in complete fire sale mode,
which means that the Bills need to get in on this before it is too late
and all of their star players are already traded away.
So today we are going to be taking a look at this Colts roster
and going over a few players
and their potential to be traded to the Buffalo Bills.
So welcome and everybody to Bills Digest.
I'm Ben Volker and here at Bills Digest,
we've got you covered with all things related to the Buffalo Bills.

And yes, it has been a busy day for the Indianapolis Colts.
They started off the day by trading their star
O-lineman Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks.
They later double down on the fact that they
are sellers at this trade deadline
by then trading
their star defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to the 49ers.
So the Colts are out there.
They are waving a white flag after a 2-5 start.
And they are like a dead animal on the side of the road.
And all of these competing teams out there
that are vying for a playoff spot
and a Super Bowl push are like the vultures
that are circling the Colts right now
trying to get a piece of what the Colts are selling off.
And there are some great pieces out there,
especially for the Bills.
So we are going to be taking a look at them
because this is what we know about the Colts right now.
Tom Palacero said this after both of these trades,
no one on this Colts roster
is expected to be off limits in trade talks.
So the door is wide open to anybody.
And let's just start by saying
that this is a great sign for the Bills so far
that both of these other two trades have gone to NFC teams.
Yes, it would be nice to have gotten DeForest Buckner,
but that trade, I don't think Brandon Beane was going to make.
Although a fourth round pick, that is quite a steal in my opinion.
So we will get into all of these players in just a second.
But first, I got to let you guys know today's video
is sponsored by Kalshi.
And on Kalshi, you are trading directly against other users,
not the house like traditional sportsbooks.
You're buying yes or no contracts on the outcome
of events across sports, politics, or even the weather.
For example, right now on Kalshi,
we are taking a look at this Super Bowl race.
You can see the top three teams here in contention.
The Niners still up at the top, the Bills and the Chiefs in the mix.
and both the 49ers and the Chiefs looked very beatable this past week
and they showed their
flaws so you got to think if the Bills are able
to beef up at this trade deadline and really make
a statement that their Super Bowl odds would only grow
which is why of course I'm placing $25
on the Bills right now to win the Super Bowl it's only
a 13% chance right now and like I said
if the Bills can make some trades and make things happen
and shore up their holes, I think this
number is only going to continue to go up.
And if you place just $25, you could win $196 in return
if the Bills do indeed end up as the 2027 NFL champions.
So if you are interested in trying
out CalSheet, you can use the link in the description,
trade $25 with code digest NFL
and get $55 added to your account instantly.
Thank you once again to Couchy for sponsoring today's video.
All right, let's get into these trade targets.
Of course, let's start by talking about the offense
and what the Bills could get from the Colts on offense.
Well, the biggest name out there in the Colts organization
that is up for grabs is their wide receiver, Josh Downs.
You can see the numbers that he's put up so far this year.
And he would be a great addition to this offense.
There is no denying that.
And Downs is on a rookie contract right now.
It expires in 2027.
So people are speculating that the asking price
for this trade would be either a fifth
or fourth round pick.
And if the Bills can get him for a fourth-round pick,
I really see no reason why they shouldn't.
What else are you going to do with a fourth-round pick?
Those fourth-round, mid-round picks,
there's so much variable, and the hit rate is not great.
So go out and get a guy
that you know can contribute to this Bills offense.
And I know a lot of you guys out there
were talking about this the other day
when we talked about the potential
of a Brian Thomas Jr. trade to Buffalo
and the fact that, yes, we do need to shore up the defense.
And I agree, but some of you guys made
some great points about the fact,
why even bother with defense?
Is it even going to get any better no matter who we bring in?
Why not just focus on beefing up the offense
and just trying to outscore opponents every week?
Now, there are a lot of flaws with that, don't get me wrong,
and that is not a recipe for success in this league.
but shoring up the offense and making Josh weapon
or Josh Allen's weapons even scarier is still a
very good idea plus if they trade for Josh Downs it keeps
that it keeps him out of the hands of
other receiver needy teams in the AFC like the Chiefs
or the Patriots that are also threats
to make a Super Bowl run as well so it's
also kind of a defensive play so I really like this one
for the Bills but I know everybody wants
to talk about defense defense defense defense the Bills
need to shore up their defense.
So the other guy that is most likely going to be traded at the
before the trade deadline, DeForest Buckner already
on the way. Adam Schefter hit the nail
on the head on this one. You got Josh Downs.
We just talked about him, but Grover Stewart. Now
it's, it is, if teams could not get DeForest Buckner,
it was widely accepted that Grover
Stewart was the next best option.
He's another defensive tackle. He's another veteran in this
league and yes I know the Bills that's not their weak point
on defense this year is not the defensive
line but still it couldn't hurt to go
and shore things up there as well and the reason that this
one gives me hope for Grover Stewart
and his uh his availability in going to Buffalo is the fact
that he is probably available for a sixth round pick maybe
a fifth round pick at most because
DeForest Buckner DeForest Buckner
is a great defensive lineman in this league and Grover
Stewart is not quite at his level DeForest Buckner
was traded to the 49ers for a fourth round pick
which seems like a steal for the 49ers if you ask me
so that's the going rate for DeForest
Buckner just imagine what how cheap Grover Stewart would
be and yet once again this would be a rental
for the Bills another push to go all in and win
the Super Bowl this year just kind of like Josh
Downs on an expiring contract
but like I said that's not the main reason that the Bills are in
the trade market this year because first
and foremost what about beefing up the Bills secondary
now there's one name out there in the Colts secondary
that really is attractive as a Bills
fan. That, of course, being Cam Bynum here.
You can see the numbers. You can see the numbers of
what he's done in the past.
He is a fantastic safety in this league, and the Bills certainly
could use some help at that position.
Now, Cam Bynum, out of everybody on that we've talked
about so far, would be the most expensive
and probably the most costly offer to make for
Brandon Bean he's still under contract until 2029
so he would be in the Bills system for a while
this would be a move if the Bills are trying
to continue to win long term instead of just going
all in this year while still making that Super Bowl push
so Cam Bynum 100% is a great move
if the Bills are able to meet
that asking price now you look around at what else the Colts have
in their secondary now one name that stands out
is of course Travarius Ward he is a veteran
cornerback that the Colts brought in this year
that they could easily flip for a late round pick
or two if teams are willing to give it up
and yes that would be another good option for the Bills
but let's go big here let's talk about
the ceiling of speculation here and talk about
Sauce Garner yes the guy that the the the Colts just traded
for last year now don't get your
hopes up on this one but it is fun
to speculate about what Sauce Garner could bring to the table
now obviously you see what the Colts traded for him
for the Jets last year it was a big big haul
that they gave up so i they are probably going
if if Sauce Garner is on the table like Tom
Pellicero said everybody is on the table that includes Sauce Garner
but I would have to imagine
that this they're asking price for Sauce Garner
is way way way too steep for what the Bills would
be willing to give up and you take a look at his contract here
and he is under contract until 2031
so this is a long-term investment that I do not think
the Bills are going to want to get invested in
and I would not get my hopes up on this one.
But it is still fun to imagine.
So I want to turn it over to you guys.
Let me know what you think about the Colts
and who would you want to trade for
from their team the most.
Do you want to see us beef up the offense
with Josh Downs?
Or do you want to go defense with Grover Stewart?
Or do you want the secondary
with a guy like Cam Bynum,
Sauce Garner, if you're crazy?
Or you know what?
Let's even throw in Trevarius Ward
there at the bottom.
So let me know down in the comments what you guys think.
I'm going to go with Cam Bynum on this one.
Yes, he probably is the most expensive option outside
of Sauce Garner on this list.
But if the Bills are serious about making a Super Bowl push
and if Brandon Bean is serious
about saying that things are different in Buffalo
and actually trying to make a statement,
I think Cam Bynum is the guy that they have to go out and get.
So those are my thoughts on a potential trade from the Colts.
Let me know what you guys think.
If you agree with me about the Cam Bynum
thing, leave a like on this video.
And if you disagree and you think another player
is a better fit, let me know in the
comments as well.
But that's all we've got time for today.
Keep it right here on Bills Digest
because we will have a ton of more Bills content coming
your way leading up to this Ravens game.
And then, of course, looking forward to that trade deadline.
So stay tuned for all of that.
As always, thanks for watching.
And of course, go Bills.
