Things are HEATING UP... Bills Trade Incoming
Oct 31, 2026
Things are heating up for the Buffalo Bills
as NFL insider Albert Breer gave us our first
real indication on what Brandon Bean's plan
is this upcoming trade deadline and whether
or not the Bills will be in the mix
to make some big trades happen before that.
Deadline hits. So today we are going to talk about the latest
on what we know on what Brandon Bean's plan is for this trade deadline.
And then we'll look at another player that could be in the mix
for Brandon Beane to trade for to strengthen this Bills team
So welcome everybody. Welcome to Bills Digest.
I'm Ben Volker and here at Bills Digest,

And yes, so far, we've been talking
a lot about trades the past few weeks.
We've looked at the safety position.
We've looked at cornerbacks.
We've looked at wide receivers.
We've picked apart the entire Colts roster looking
for someone that the Bills could trade for.
But that's all been speculation up to this point.
But we finally got our first real piece of Bills trade news today
as NFL insider Albert Breer is reporting that the Bills.
want defensive help. This is exactly what Breer said right here.
This is it. The Bills are looking
for another piece or two on defense. Yes, it's not much.
Yes, this is pretty much everything that we
already knew about the Buffalo Bills or that we were expecting to know.
But this, as far as I can
tell, is the first real piece of news surrounding the Bills
and this trade deadline. And
The NFL trades have already been active so far this year,
starting a few days ago with
Quenton Nelson to the Seahawks, DeForest Buckner to the 49ers,
and then the big one was Titans
Jeffrey Simmons going to the Bears for multiple first-round picks,
and it was reported after
that trade that that is really waking up other NFL GMs,
and we could be in for an explosive
trade deadline.
So the Bills, they got to start chop-chop hurrying up here
and making trades happen,
Brandon Bean draws a lot of criticism for this weekend
or year in and year out about the fact
that he checks in on guys but never pulls the trigger.
Well, if the Bills are serious about
competing, they have to pull the trigger.
They can't just look for a defensive piece or two.
They actually have to make it happen.
So we've talked a lot about a bunch of guys. We've got
another guy today that we are going to discuss here
and the potential and the possibility that
that he is coming to Buffalo.
But first,
I got to let you guys know today's video
is sponsored by Kalshi and on Kalshi you are
trading directly against other users,
not the house like traditional sports books.
You're buying yes or no contracts on the outcome
of events across sports, politics, or even
the weather.
For example, right now on Kalshi, of course,
we are looking at the odds of this Bills Ravens
game leading off to kickoff on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Kalshi is favoring the Bills right now with a 61% chance to win,
but I wouldn't count out the
Ravens. But if there's one thing that I do know about this game,
it is going to be more offensive
fireworks for both teams.
That's just the Bills brand of football this year. They've been putting
up points like crazy, but they've
also been allowing their opponents to put up points like
crazy. And now with Lamar Jackson back in action,
Lamar versus Josh Allen, it is
It's going to be a big, big statement from both of these offenses.
I'm very positive of that.
And I like the Bills to score over 35 and a half points in this one,
which is only a 25% chance.
So if you place just $25 right now on Kalshi,
you could win $98 in return.
That is pretty good.
So if you are interested in trying out Kalshi,
you can use the link in the description.

Thank you once again to Kalshi for sponsoring today's video.
And now, like I said, we've talked a lot of trade speculation,
trade rumors that could
possibly happen, a lot of defense, some wide receivers,
safeties, cornerbacks, but there's
one position that we really haven't talked about.
That being the linebacker position, and if I'm being honest,
that's because I really do think that the cornerback
and the safety position are bigger needs for the Bills, combined
with the fact that I feel like the quality linebackers out there on
Teams that are looking to sell is not as good as the safety position
and the cornerback position.
I mean, you got guys like Mack Wilson out there,
Cody Barton on the Titans.
But if there's one player,
one linebacker that if the Bills are going to make a trade,
should go for, it's got to be Zach Bond because he would be a great fit.
in Buffalo. People have been talking about it
when we talked about Reek Wollin a week ago or so.
Everybody in the comments
was talking about why would we get Reek Wollin when we could get Zach
Bond. I would be fine with either of them,
but here's what Zach Bond brings to the table. He's
fast. He's fluid. He's surprisingly adept in coverage.
He's a relatively short tackler and
has maintained his pass rushing skill despite being
an off the ball linebacker. And
This is exactly what the Bills need at the linebacker position.
A guy that is versatility, and that is Zach Bond's name of the game.
Let's go ahead and pull up
the scouting report on Zach Bond this season.
As you can see, he has got 51 tackles through six games.
He is involved on every single down in the Eagles' defense.
But he hasn't had a sack this year.
Had an interception,
so the big game-changing plays have not been there,
but Zach Bond is a constant presence on defense for the Eagles.
And we know what Zach Bond is capable
of when he plays at a high level.
Let's pull up his 2024 stats here.
I know this was two years ago, and time changes things,
and it's not going to be the same player here,
but this shows you the ceiling of...
If Zach Bond is able to recapture that 2024 magic,
what he can do, 151 tackles,
five forced fumbles, three and a half sacks, one interception.
Helped the Eagles and their defense throughout
their entire playoff run to the Super Bowl
and was a crucial part in shutting down the Chiefs offense
and helping them blow out the
Chiefs and win the Super Bowl.
So Zach Bond has that playoff experience.
He has that winning mentality
that the Bills defense certainly could use in the locker
room.
But.
Here's another reason why I think that Zach Bond could
be coming to the Buffalo Bills more than any other team.
It's because he knows Jim Leonard's defense
and he knows how to play in it.
And I think if you're the biggest problem with the Bills.
The linebacker unit is that they just have
not been able to adjust to this new Jim Leonard scheme.
I like Terrell Bernard as a linebacker.
I even like Dorian Williams as a linebacker.
But it's clear that they have not been able
to figure out what their role is in Jim Leonard's scheme.
Now.
Zach Bond, what's his connection to Jim Leonard?
Well, when Jim Leonard was the defensive coordinator at Wisconsin,
he coached Zach Bond in college, so they have a connection there.
So Zach Bond is familiar with what Jim Leonard brings to the table,
and he could be plugged in right away and make an impact for the Bills.
You can see here.
He's viewed as a plug-and-play option,
and he also provides some pass-rushing juice.
So, I love the idea of Zach Bond coming to Buffalo.
Yes, I know he is turning 30 this year.
It might seem like a bit of a commitment to make a trade for that guy.
We'll get to his price in just a second, but I think that...
If the Bills can, they absolutely should.
But would the Eagles want to make this trade?
That is the big question because the Eagles,
it's hard to envision them as sellers at this trade deadline.
But especially if they lose to Washington this week
on Sunday Night Football, they got to have that discussion.
This Eagles, this is like
the cursed Eagle season where everything goes wrong.
And I think the Eagles, they need to just really...
Just blow it up.
Try again next year.
It's not happening this year.
Let's be honest, Eagles fans.
It's not happening.
But.
The Eagles clearly have a high opinion
of Zach Bond both as a player and as a leader
because Nick Sirianni, he was asked
who the team is leaning on as leaders given all the
injuries and situations to the actual team captains
and he said that Zach Bond is one
of those guys that is a team captain
that the Eagles are going to lean on going forward.
So would the Eagles really want to trade away this guy?
Plus, the other obstacle in the way
is that there are definitely other teams
that are in the market for Zach Bond.
The Bills are definitely not the only option.
The big, probably the biggest...
Other team in the mix is the Packers right now
who have called about Zach Bond reportedly.
And so that could be an option.
I've also been seeing that Cincinnati could be in the mix.
So it's clear that Zach Bond
is a very wanted piece by multiple teams.
So the Bills are probably going to have to cough up
a pretty penny to get the guy that they want.
But here's the trade estimate that...
Is going around right now that people are speculating
could be what we could see
in a hypothetical Zach Bond trade to the Bills.
He would definitely cost at least a second round pick
for whatever team decides to trade it for him this year.
And it could even sneak into the first round
if teams are really, really...
into getting Zach Bond.
If the Bills have to give up a first round pick,
I'm out on Zach Bond.
I'm sorry.
Second round, I am okay with, but they can't.
Zach Bond, he's, like I said,
he's going into his age 30 season.
They can't give up a first round pick for him.
But here's the hypothetical trade proposal.
It's got Zach Bond going to the Bills
for a second round pick in 2027
and then a seventh round pick in 2028.
And I would even throw in a late round 2027 pick
if I were the Bills.
If they are really serious about going all in this year.
But I want to hear from you guys.
What do you think about Zach Bond coming to the Buffalo Bills?
Should they make this trade?
Do you think, yes, make the move
with that hypothetical trade scenario that I proposed or even more?
Do you think, no, even that is too much
and you would only want to see this trade if the price is cheaper?
Or are you not a Zach Bond fan at all and you want
the Bills to go in another direction at the trade deadline?
Obviously, I'm here at A. Yes,
make the move if that is the price I am in on Zach Bond 100%.
If you agree, leave a like on this video and let me know.
And if you disagree, leave a comment and let me know why as well.
That's all we got time for here today on Bills Digest.
Keep it right here
because we will have a ton more content coming your way.
Of course, leading up to that Ravens game,
we'll have a bit more content for that
and then beyond looking forward to the trade deadline.
So stay tuned for that as well.
As always, thanks for watching.
And of course, go Bills.
