Let's take one final check on our forecast
with a live look outside National Harbor from our Fox
Fox 5 Skycam there. Jennifer Delgado is here now
with one final look at what we can look forward to this
week. Hey, Jen. Hey, you know,
Chad always has a good time no matter where. You can send Chad
anywhere. He's going to find friends and pump it up.
All right. So certainly for tonight, we've
seen the clouds roll in. But the good news is it's going to be nice
and dry for the football game and
for the tailgaters. Apparently,
you couldn't stop them from having a good time. Now, the clouds
We'll be around to start off your morning,
but the good news is that temperature is going to be warming back up.
Some of you might think it's been a little cool outside, but it's
actually been very close to seasonable for this time of the year.
But then we have a chance for some rainfall,
but we have to wait a couple more days for that to happen.
We are looking at 15 days in a row now
that we haven't had any rainfall.
So here's the view outside our camera in.
Arlington, looking into D.C., shows you dry conditions at the airport.
A few more clouds out of Reagan as well as Dulles.
And then BWI, you're a cool spot with the temperature 49 degrees.
Dew points are low.
Temperatures right now are in the 40s and the 50s.
58 degrees in D.C., 53 in Annapolis,
and then 50 degrees in Leonardtown.
So we look at the satellite and the radar.
We have been dry.
High pressure, we've been talking about this for a while.
This is one of the longest stretches
that we have gone without rainfall.
So what we're looking at,
Right now is a little bit of rainfall across parts of Kentucky,
Tennessee, very light
air's too dry for us to make it over the mountains.
But we look down towards the south.
We've got this wave that's spinning right on top of,
I should say, sitting right on
top of Florida, bringing in very heavy rainfall that onshore flow,
getting reports of flooding
setting up for areas right along the East Coast.
And at the same time, I know earlier we told you about
the plane crash that happened in
Florida.
So the weather certainly has not been ideal,
even though we have been in.
Enjoying a pretty nice and quiet weather conditions.
Now, as we look at our planner for tonight,
we keep those clouds around and then our temperatures tomorrow
in the afternoon will climb into the upper 60s
and we'll see that sunshine coming back as we go later into the day.
But we look at our future cast and as we started off at 11
o'clock at night, you can see where those clouds are,
of course, where the rain is down towards the south.
But as we go into your Monday, a cloudy start.
Then we go into your Monday afternoon and evening.
We'll clear the sky.
out and then into Tuesday. Overnight lows will go back into the 50s.
Tuesday will be a sunny and dry day.
Wednesday will be a partly sunny day,
but certainly it will be dry for Election Day.
I think we may have some video that we shot earlier today
to show you what it looks like outside.
Well, there's one man, and he's having
a good time playing some basketball on this November 1st.
And what we had for tonight was a very early sunset,
but getting out early, enjoying the day,
as well as looking at the leaves and the fall foliage.
But you can see right there on that tree and those trees there,
we see some green as well as some bright reds and orange.
We come back over to me, and we look ahead for us into your Wednesday.
The clouds will start to return, and then rain chances return for us
as we go Thursday as well as into Friday and Saturday.
And you can see on our European model, this is November the 4th.
Rain is still to the west of us, and then it moves through.
It doesn't look like it's going to be impressive rainfall,
but we will take it because it has been so dry and dusty.
But we don't have to worry about the drought right now.
We're still doing pretty good.
We've still got a lot of extra rain in the bucket.
Now, for tonight, these are your low temperatures, 48 degrees
for a low in D.C., 42 in Gaithersburg, and then 49 in Quantico.
Tomorrow afternoon, highs will climb to the mid to upper 60s.
And what we will see for tomorrow, again,
is sunshine coming back as we go later into the afternoon.
And if you are hoping to go out and check out some of the fall foliage
maybe this week, some of the state parks as we go into this week,
lots of colors showing up in the form of the orange and the red.
And right now we're still seeing some.
high color changes. Here's your seven-day forecast.
We keep those 60s around for one more day,
72 for Election Day, and then on Wednesday, 74.
Thursday, 75. Rain possible as we go into
the afternoon, and the same on Friday
as that front comes through. And then we're going to cool
things back down to the 60s for Saturday and Sunday.
All right. Thanks, Jen.
