Welcome back, everyone.
Right now, it's in the 60s and 70s across the board.
Plenty of humidity in the air, a straight southeast wind coming
right off the Gulf, and that is giving us a lot of moisture.
For tonight, some low clouds, maybe some fog,
maybe some drizzle for some of us to start off our Monday.
And then we're going to see one more warm
and humid day before our cold front changes all of that by Tuesday.
We'll show you that in a minute.
Current wind speed is not a factor.
Most of us are fairly calm.
66 at 8 a.m., but it feels like with the humidity around 73.
So plan on it feeling pretty warm out there
and muggy as well by noon 74 with the heat index close to 84.
So that's how warm tomorrow will feel like.
above the actual air temperature.
So the first part of the day, you're going to feel that air.
It's going to be a little bit heavy out there
with the humidity around. 71 tonight. Humidity
has already jumped to 87%.
The winds are calm here in Austin at Camp Mabry, and the dew point
is at 67. 85 the high, 62 the low.
Your average is 55 and 77. Record low 31 in 2019. 91 is your
your record high in 2016.
The next few hours, just like last night, except
Maybe even a few degrees warmer.
We're going to be in the middle to upper 60s most of the night.
And going to have a hard time dropping below 70.
Or with our dew point at 67,
it may be hard to get to my forecast low of 65.
But we'll see.
We have a slim chance of some drizzle in the morning.
Rain chance less than 10% as far as measurable goes.
But it might be enough to make the roads
a little bit slippery on your Monday commute.
Just keep that in mind.
And satellite and radar, everything's to our west.
This storm system out west what we're watching
heavy rain now moving towards El Paso. It's been
a busy month for them and this system will move
into the central Texas and hill country area
tomorrow night and through Austin overnight tomorrow night
into Tuesday morning. That will
bring us a round of thunderstorms potentially 70 percent
or so should get some rain. Some of us not
as much others some maybe up to an inch
but right now most of the models are kind of going half an
an inch to an inch as far as rain totals go.
That's for tomorrow night and Tuesday. But for
For tonight, just some clouds and fog to deal with,
and we'll have more clouds than sun at times out west.
And then we watch those showers at the very end of this forecast period
showing up towards Mason and Brady by 9 or 10 p.m. tomorrow night.
That is the initial line of storms.
You'll move through overnight.
Heaviest rain will be to the west here.
Some areas could pick up an inch, most of us less than a tenth
to a half an inch, probably what we'll get for most of the area.
Monday night, high rain chance likely.
Tuesday drops to scattered the first part of the day.
Then we're dry for a couple of days.
Few showers again by Friday and Saturday.
We have southeast winds in the forecast.
Plan on some gusty winds tomorrow as well.
We have a slim chance some of those storms across the area could
produce some hail and gusty winds during the late night hours
on Monday night through Tuesday morning. We'll be watching that.
Otherwise, windy and cooler lows in the 50s by Wednesday.
