All right, Fox 26, your Gulf Coast Weather Authority.
J.D., how's things looking here for the rest of the day
and then beginning of next week as well?
Yeah, for the rest of the day, no big changes.
Of course, we're sort of an hour later
into the day that we've been sort of used to.
So we're going to be sort of cooling down a little bit.
I don't think we're going to see any rain for today.
I'm going to bump those rain chances
to about 20 percent chance for tomorrow.
But then when we get to Tuesday, that's Election Day.
That's also Cold Front Day here in Houston.
Just in that cold front, going to bring some showers.
And some chances for some storm and yes,
there will be some colder air that comes along with that.
It takes a little longer for the cold air to get here.
So while the front is going to be here on Tuesday,
the cold air comes in on Wednesday morning
and then we'll be able to have some mornings in the 50s,
which are going to be very comfortable, a little bit more fall like.
So election day, pretty much rain chances throughout the day.
We're still getting a little bit of the timing adjusted
on that front itself, but it does. And it looks like
It looks like that it will be here.
The stronger storms will be here later in the day.
So if you're scheduling your voting time,
try to get that done early in the morning.
So here's what we've got on our future cast.
The Fox weather model here showing you as we get into Tuesday morning,
we'll start to see the showers and storms move into the area.
By the time we get to lunch, I think we're getting closer
to that front in the downtown Houston area in the afternoon.
The rain might be a little bit behind the boundary itself,
but kind of lingering around as we move into the evening hours. So
Certainly could have some evening showers as well,
but then eventually we kind of get that cleared out a little bit.
So forecasted rain, we do expect
a lot more rain for other parts of the country.
We're certainly going to be in that one to two inch range.
This is the estimated rainfall totals that we could see
as that front moves through all the way through Wednesday.
And we do have a possibility that some
of that intense downpour could have some short-term street flooding.
The Weather Prediction Center putting that one out of four risk for
For some of that flooding to take place,
pretty much our entire viewing area in that possibility.
Again, that's focused on Tuesday.
So the temperatures will be another warmer day tomorrow where
we have temperatures back at least in the mid to lower 80s.
And then because of the clouds
and the rain on Tuesday, the temperatures are lower.
But again, I think we'll be more focused on the showers
and the storms than anything else.
And then we're really set up to a pleasant second half of the week.
Some very much more like...
Autumn weather will be here. We'll have some mornings in the 50s,
our afternoons where they ought to be in the 70s.
And then as we look ahead to next weekend,
it looks like we might have some rain chances returning.
