Well, it is the last day of early voting
and people have been flooding to the polls.
News 12's Jenna Rae Gartner stopped by a Massapequa voting site.
Well, there's a line through the hall,
out the door and down the sidewalk.
And poll workers tell me it's been that way all day long.
One poll worker who's done
this for five years says they had 50 percent more people at this
voting location every day compared to last year.
Other years they've seen 500 to 800 voters and
this year they're between 1,300 to 1,500.
Nassau County Board of Elections says they've had more
than 175,000 early voters across the county
so far and Suffolk County says they had more than
157,000 early voters as of Saturday night.
Those numbers are sure to increase today.
Because I've got to get my vote counted
and have things go in a positive direction here for Long Island.
Come out and vote. Make your voices heard.
This is really very important. We want to keep Long Island safe.
Well, remember, Sunday is the last day of early voting,
so if you didn't get out here today,
make sure you show up at Election Day
on Tuesday to make your vote count.
In Massapequa, Nassau County, Jenna Rae Gartner, News 12.
