All right, all is quiet right now for the weather.
Tomorrow, though, rain comes in.
We're thinking it's going to be light, so...
You know, could be worse, but the timing is not great, considering
we've got a lot of trick-or-treaters out and about tomorrow evening.
That's when the rain really starts to fill in through our area.
So let's look at our weekend forecast first.
Again, rain likely late in the day tomorrow.
So tomorrow morning is mostly dry.
Rain starts to pick up in the afternoon,
increases into the night, continues into Sunday morning,
and then gradually clears as we go later on Sunday.
And temperatures this weekend will be on the cool side.
The rain breakdown hour by hour for tomorrow.
Again, not much at all early on.
We start to see some showers show up in the afternoon.
Sunset at 6 o'clock.
That's when the rain is really starting to fill in.
That's what the higher rain chances mean.
More land is covered by rain, and it continues
to get even more widespread as we go later into the night.
Also, temperatures tomorrow.
By the way, the background image is not
going to look much like that tomorrow.
It's going to be cloudy all day.
It's in the 60s to maybe at the warmest topping out near 70.
We expect a temperature right around 65 degrees at sunset.
So plan on damp and pretty cool weather
if you're going to be out tomorrow evening.
Here's our storm system we're watching.
It's still a long way off.
That's why the rain really doesn't start
to increase big time until late day tomorrow.
Here's the wide view of how it pans out.
You can see this blob of rain coming for us
with some heavy pockets out there still over the ocean at about 10 p.m.
So that's going to come in probably late Saturday
night after midnight, the heavier stuff that is.
So as we go in closer, here's midnight tonight.
From midnight through noon tomorrow, again,
just a lot of cloud cover streaming through
and maybe one or two spotty light showers.
As we get into the afternoon, here's 4 o'clock.
We're starting to find the rain increase.
Again, though, a lot of this is going to be very, very light.
We don't expect any trouble as far as the rain rates.
Flooding would be really doubtful out of this.
It's just nuisance, light rain.
And again, it becomes more widespread the later we go.
Here's 7 o'clock tomorrow evening.
Here's 10 o'clock.
Rain filling in even a little bit more now after midnight tomorrow
night into Sunday morning, there could be some pockets where
the rain is a little bit heavier, especially farther east of L.A.
That's 6 a.m. on Sunday. Here we go into Sunday afternoon.
Rain exits. Sunshine comes out
and we're dry for the next several days after that.
Potential rain totals from the start
of this event through about 10 o'clock tomorrow night.
Notice how it's mostly pretty light.
So this would be about the time that trick or treating would be over.
And then after that, as we tack on the rest of the night
and Sunday morning, you see those rain totals go up a little more.
But even this, keep in mind, is spread out over many, many hours.
So the rain rates, which is really important when it comes
to the potential for flooding, rain rates looking pretty low.
And I think flooding is really doubtful
out of this particular situation.
But just widespread wet weather.
And again, the timing's not great tomorrow night.
All right. High temperatures now for
several days this weekend. It's cool.
We see a lot more sunshine next week
and really some very pleasant weather.
Things not bad.
Crazy for a change.
We've had a lot of wild weather over the last several weeks.
We just kind of park it in the mid-70s for several days.
That was for L.A.
The coast is pretty much the same story.
Cool this weekend, a little bit warmer next week.
In the valleys, the I.E.,
upper 60s to near 70s this weekend and 70s for next week.
