Welcome to my channel Alice Yummy Food.
Today I'm making an incredible dessert. It's going
to be chocolate eggs filled with lemon cheesecake and mango filling.
Now these look like actual
eggs and that's the whole trick about this dessert
because you can serve it on Easter
and you can serve it as a dessert and it just looks
so cute and it's an amazing, amazing
dessert that I think. So I'll show you today how to make it.
Okay, so for this recipe, I'm going to be using large chocolate eggs.
If you do have smaller eggs, which are the actual size of a proper egg,
then you would use about six to eight with this recipe,
but I'm only going to have two because they're quite big.
Now, for the cheesecake filling,
we're going to be using 150 grams of soft cheese, you
can use low fat if you prefer, 30 grams of icing sugar,
100 milliliters of double cream,
full fat, and then for the actual yolk effect,
I've got one tablespoon of mango puree, 15
grams or one tablespoon of unsalted butter,
one teaspoon of lemon zest, one tablespoon
One of apricot jam.
Vanilla extract and about one tablespoon of fresh lemon juice.
The first thing we're going to do is cut our egg.
Now I'm using a big serrated knife
which I've heated on the hot water.
And I'm just going to cut just like that.
And then we can kind of break around
so it's just like a bit rough around the edges.
A thing like this is quite good.
And put these eggs back into the fridge.
And now we're going to whip our cream.
So in a large bowl we pour all double cream.
And just whisk that until it starts to form peaks,
but do not whisk over it, because it can break.
Just like this.
Okay, now we put our cream cheese in a bowl.
All the icing sugar, lemon juice with lemon
zest, and a bit of vanilla extract.
And we just
whisk it
all again.
Now our cheesecake is ready. It's nice and lemony.
Now we're gonna add the whipped cream that we whipped before inside,
and we're just gonna mix it again.
Cheese filling is done, now I've taken
my eggs out of the fridge and we're going to
fill them all the way, about up to here,
and then refrigerate them for about half an hour.
In the meantime, I'm going to make my yolk.
You can see the cheesecake is actually a really nice yellowish color,
I love it, so just place
that inside.
Okay, while my eggs are chilling in the fridge,
I'm going to make the sauce, the egg yolk.
So put the butter in a small pan,
on a medium heat, apricot jam and our mango puree.
You just heat it and mix it through until the butter melts.
And then we refrigerate it until it thickens.
Okay, as you can see, it's all melted and the color is very yellow.
That's exactly what we want for our egg yolk.
I'm going to put this in the fridge to just let it cool down for a bit.
Okay, after half an hour, my eggs are chilled.
Now we take a tiny spoon and we're going to scoop out the middle.
Just about this wide.
Take that out. I'm going to eat that.
Yeah.
A bit further down where we're going
to place our yolk.
My yolk is quite set.
It's a bit runny, so it looks like naturally egg yolk.
I'm gonna do the same with the second egg.
Okay, both of these are done.
You can see how cute they are now, like very nice.
I just want to eat one.
Now they go back into the fridge for another half an hour
and then we can dig into those.
Okay, my beautiful Easter eggs are done.
Now how cute do these look?
They look really real and they look like real eggs.
If I actually poke with my spoon, it feels like a real egg yolk.
It's really nice. I'm going to try one now.
It's so nice
and fresh,
fluffy.
You can taste the lemon from the lemon juice and a bit of zest.
It's delicious. I could just eat the whole egg
and then you can eat the actual shell as well.
So these eggs are perfect for your kids.
For any dinner parties that you go to,
and everyone's going to enjoy this dessert.
It's so much fun to eat it, and it's a bit messy,
but it's Easter, so you have to be having a lot of fun today.
Happy Easter again, guys. Thank you so much for watching this video.
