We begin with Halloween weekend in full swing
as trick-or-treating kicks off in West Seattle's Admiral neighborhood.
FOX 13 Alejandra Guzman shows us all the fun underway,
or is that sister Sarah Sanderson?
It's been an hour and I still cannot find my sisters, but the smell
of children is still lingering throughout all of West Seattle.
And it's because of this.
Everyone's got candy to give out,
even dog treats for the entire community.
We've got a mile long of trick-or-treating where folks
are dressed up as anything that you can see.
But my favorites today, as Sister Sarah Sanderson,
is this pickle, a hot dog, and Ghostface.
I gotta ask.
Ghostface, are you not scared tonight?
No, I'm not.
Why?
It doesn't scare me, and I'm just looking for victims.
Wow, he's looking for victims.
He and I can butt out because, as you guys know,
I'm looking for children throughout all of West Seattle.
But they're looking for the best candy.
What is your favorite candy this year?
Twix.
Why?
Because it's so good.
It has some caramel and it's chocolate.
And it's nice and crispy. What about you?
What about you?
Probably also Twix because it just has a good flavor.
I've seen that a lot of folks here
are very generous with the portions out here,
something that my friend Ghostface definitely is very grateful for.
As he said, he's looking
for victims. So business owners, if you're out there,
this is a message for you. Make sure that
you're giving the full-size candy bar this year.
Live music, as you guys can hear, is already kind
of going on by some of the businesses,
but Circa is actually going to start doing their live music
here in the next few minutes, and it's going to go on through 6:30.
So this is something you don't
Parents, grandparents,
whoever is bringing you guys out trick or treating there's a lot
There are safety things that you have to take into consideration.
We do have volunteers who are making sure
that the crosswalks are safe for the kids.
But as it starts to get dark and gloomy out here,
make sure that the kids have possibly
a glow stick, that the costumes,
as you can see Ghostface, that are not covering their
eyes or that they can actually see through them,
just to make sure that everything is
nice and safe for them.
This is supposed to be a nice family affair
for every single person in West Seattle.
And for those who can't make it out here tonight,
I've got a surprise for you.
There is a haunted house at 9706 Densmore Avenue
in North Seattle for everybody who
can't come out here.
They're kicking off their haunted house spooky night from 6 to 9 PM.
It's free for everyone to come out.
But in the meantime, my hot dog,
my pickle and Ghostface and I were reporting from West
Seattle guys.
Thanks so much.
