Seattle weather: Drier, sunnier Halloween

Happy Friday everyone. I'm meteorologist Claire Anderson in the Fox 13 Weather Center. Definitely a spooky Friday. We've seen some heavy downpours, scattered showers, sunbreaks, even some lightning. But the good news is we're looking a lot better here heading into the weekend. These showers start to taper off this evening and into tomorrow. We're looking at really nice conditions. A mix of sunshine, drier conditions and cooler temperatures for the weekend. A few clouds passing through, but sunshine is key. And then heading into the trick or treat hour for The forecast looking great as well, no rain jackets necessary, probably some warm coats, but the good news is you won't be needing those umbrellas. Temperatures today have been on the cool side, only in the upper 40s for SeaTac, Seattle and Bremerton. Mid-50s, what we're typically seeing this time of year, so it definitely was a cooler day. 50 for Wenatchee, upper 40s out along the coast. Next several afternoons are staying on the cooler side, mid-50s, slowly warming up to the upper 50s into Tuesday and Wednesday as well as Thursday. So a little bit mild here heading into next week. Now let's take a look at our conditions moving forward for the rest of this evening. Upper level low offshore continues to spin these scattered showers, cooler temperatures, and rumbles of thunder. It's just been kind of parked out there. This afternoon, we've been seeing a few rumbles of thunder, lightning off the coast, down towards Portland as well. Through this evening, the showers will continue to decrease, bringing drier and cooler conditions for tonight. Now, futurecast-wise, you do see by 11 o'clock, most of the rain tapers off. Mostly to partly cloudy skies to start the day more fog wise and then into the afternoon we'll see some nice clearing passing clouds through Saturday. Similar story here heading into Sunday. Few areas of patchy fog with mostly sunny conditions into the afternoon. It's also looking really nice for Sunday for Seahawks. I'll show you that in just a moment. Cooler temperatures into the South Sound Olympia Central. You've got some freeze advisories and watches in effect. Low 30s towards Shelton. Low 30s for Forks. Mid to upper 30s for Seattle and Everett. 34 for Wenatchee again. So a cool night tonight. Looking at our Halloween forecast. Mid 50s. Partly sunny conditions. Those cooler temperatures. So do bundle up again. Have those jackets for the kiddos. Looking at tomorrow's highs. We're going to be in the mid 50s. So a little bit warmer here. Mid 50s Tacoma and Olympia. Mid 50s out along the coast. 52 degrees for Bellingham. 54 for Wenatchee. And of course today is your Blue Friday forecast. The game is on Monday. But we do have great conditions, partly cloudy skies. The forecast has trended a little bit clearer. Low 50s for kickoff again. We fall back an hour on Sunday, so that sun sets just before around the 5 o'clock hour now. Uh, for, for. 40s heading into the evening. Now, temperatures for the rest of the weekend. Mid-50s Saturday and Sunday. Partly sunny skies for Monday. Mostly cloudy and dry for Election Day on Tuesday. Mild day for Wednesday. Thursday, Friday, a few shower chances return.
