We're heading into a busy weekend for road work around
western Washington with closures on both I-5 and 405.
Fox 13's Adam Gerke has a heads up for drivers.
A lot going on this weekend we have got to get you up to speed on.
Let's begin with Revive I-5.
Revive I-5.
Coming into the barn at this point,
northbound I-5 from I-90 up to 45th.
The entire stretch here being closed off
from midnight tonight until Monday morning, 5 a.m.
This is going to put pressure along 405,
along surface streets, along 99.
That includes, by the way, say, like the Montlake Bridge
or the Ballard Bridge or the Fremont Bridge, the 99 Bridge.
All the other bridges but the Ship
Canal Bridge not working this weekend.
So, big deal.
Also, once this is done, we're kind of done with revive I-5, sort of.
For the year, there's going to still be a couple closures for drainage
work that will be going on on the ship canal bridge, but those will
be smaller and less impacting than what we're dealing with right now.
Also, Bothell and Woodinville looking to you southbound 405.
Big closure this weekend from 527 to 522,
completely closed from 11 tonight until Monday morning, 4 a.m.
So this is going to put a lot of pressure
for drivers trying to move their way on the east side.
Keep that in mind.
Mount Vernon, let's look to you for just a second as well,
because 536, the Skagit River Bridge,
it's been closed in the eastbound direction,
but both directions will be closed as of November 1st.
This...
To finish up repairs and painting going on on the bridge,
in the meantime, that means you're going to have
to use State Route 20 to the north and I-5 as your alternative.
And that is a lot going on for this weekend.
