So let's start off with the main event here with Moicano.
Anytime, Tom, that a guy talks
or a fighter talks about retirement before a fight, you
know, you always have to take note of it.
Anytime an opponent starts talking about another fighter,
but not the one that they're fighting,
you have to take note of it and say, you know what,
like, where's this fighters in our head
at right now?
And with Moicano right now, it's neither of the above,
but it's interesting that basically he walks out of the UFC.
So, you know, he says he wants to explore his options,
which I really don't know what your options are,
bro, to be honest with you.
But interesting to me that he's talking about, like, yeah,
he wants to become a free agent and see what's out there,
which is never going to help you, actually, in the UFC,
in the judges' minds, even though the judges are supposed to be.
Not part of the company, but we all know, uh,
you know, we all know how the, how it works.
What do you think of this fight is basically, basically a pick em.
I mean, you got a veteran
that's fought and everybody before it has
been around forever against, uh, Tom Nolan, who's on
a four fight win streak, uh, right now, but this is a step up in class.
What do you think of the
main event, Tom? Yeah, it is a,
it is a big step up in class for Nolan and Moicano, you know,
You know, Moicano says a lot of crazy things.
He's a...
He's all about money.
The guy, he talks about money all the time.
That was kind of how he got to be as popular as he became,
because he said, I can't afford
to lose.
And, you know, Moicano wants money,
and he's got all these clips out there.
And, you know, Moicano wants money.
I mean, that's just kind of what it is.
But, you know, he's a very good fighter.
He's a very, very good fighter.
He's getting up there in age.
You know, his recent record hasn't
been the greatest, but when you go back and you look
at the guys he's lost to.
not the you know some of the best guys in the world
so he's very good he showed in his last
fight you know that was another close fight you know on the odds
and Moicano just came out and
absolutely dominated that fight looked like a million bucks
and i feel like he could do the
same thing in this one here he's got a big edge
in the grappling uh just big edge overall i mean
i think you know the striking is good the ground
and pound is good i really feel pretty good about
Moicano here i feel like there's value on Moicano
and you know Nolan is dangerous he could crack
He could hurt Moicano.
We have seen Moicano rocked a few times.
Moicano's cardio, you know,
has dipped a little bit as the years have gone on.
But to me, I feel like this is a levels fight,
and Moicano is the side here.
I saw it the same way.
I saw it the same way.
It's interesting, though, that, you know,
it's been an interesting market, this, right?
Nolan actually opened up as a favorite at some spots,
and it's flipped, yet a lot of people still like Nolan.
Nevertheless, like a lot of people I see online,
I hear this, I hear that, I see this,
and people are like, yeah, you know what, Nolan this, Nolan that.
But one thing with Moicano is, as Tom stated,
like he's very vocal about it,
and he openly said this week, yeah, I want to explore my options.
He basically wants to make money.
He's hoping, you know what, maybe the MVP card,
somebody comes in and pays him more money.
But for him to do that,
it's a hell of a lot better if he wins on the way out, right?
He's not done with the UFC yet, but he's got to keep winning.
And then his value goes up, and he understands that.
I was kind of, you know, even at the current number here,
I kind of saw the same thing here with two and a half.
Yeah, I think so many people like Nolan in this fight
and sort of balance the odds out a bit here.
I mean, even with the opening number,
it's going to end up being like 50-50
when it's all said and done, Tom.
You know what I'm saying as far as the betting market?
Yeah, and I think a lot of people are looking at the,
the fights where you know Moicano showed you know
the cardio kind of slowed, they questioned his jaw
oh he could get cracked yeah that's the chin
the chin could get cracked the chin could get cracked
but when you really break it down i mean Nolan
he can crack he definitely has that ability
uh but we've also seen Moicano hurt we've seen him dropped
in fights and come back and win
and finish his opponent you know in the very next round
so you can't just count Moicano
out even if he does get hurt uh you know Nolan has
to go in he has to he has to put him away
Because Moicano, he will continue to fight.
And, you know, he's training for a five-round fight.
He's been in a lot of five-round fights over the course of his career.
Nolan has never been in one.
Exactly.
This is the first one.
So, and Moicano, he has kind of taken a little bit of a step back.
He's not.
He's not fighting, you know,
obviously he's not fighting the competition that he was fighting
and he's taking a little bit of time off taking a,
I don't see him on social media
as much, which I feel like is a good sign.
I mean, he's still out there, but he's not doing
as much as, as we're used to seeing him doing.
And, you know, Nolan gives up his back a lot.
And you cannot give up your back against Moicano.
He will choke you out.
It's basically over if Nolan gives up his back here.
And that's kind of where I feel like this fight's going to play out.
Moicano will get on top.
He will land a heavy ground and pound.
We saw it against BSD.
Absolutely bludgeoned BSD.
And, you know, BSD still, after that fight, he's got his way back.
He's one of the top guys in this division.
Yeah.
So, you know, Moicano is a very, very dangerous fighter.
He's been in there with the best of the best.
You know, you go back to the fight where he fought RDA,
you know, he was hanging out on
a yacht, you know,
drinking and partying and came in on like a week's notice, got the hell
beat out of him for five rounds, but never quit.
