All right, welcome back on this day before Halloween.
Yeah, as we were saying earlier,
most people dress up for Halloween like someone else.
This morning, Allie has chosen to pretty much dress up like herself.
What do you have?
She calls herself the crazy cat lady.
Yes.
And she is covered from head to toe.
Oh, thank you so much, crazy cat lady.
Appreciate that.
Are those Tootsie Rolls?
Yes.
Those Tootsie Rolls here.
In the cat litter.
Love that.
This costume.
That is awesome.
And just so everyone knows, everyone
in our newsroom, a lot of, most of the folks in our
newsroom.
Uh-oh, we're not getting a foul.
The battle time.
No, no, no.
Don't eat it.
It's my first piece of candy.
Don't eat it.
No.
I also have kitties.
Okay, you're gonna do that at your own risk, but.
I have cats coming out of my pockets.
This is so cute.
Y'all are great.
Is that a feline foul that you've had there?
Feline foul.
Yeah.
In another box.
Is that a feline fowl that you've had there?
Feline fowl.
Yeah, all right.
Everybody in our newsroom and most of the producers
have dressed up for Halloween.
But they're great.
All of the costumes are fantastic.
But we have to say, yours is the best.
So we hereby bestow upon you
the beautiful high dollar trophy.
Careful, it's so heavy.
And so silver.
Best costume, Ally, being Ally.
This is getting put on my trophy shelf
that I have at home.
Yes.
Yes.
I love it.
Thank you all so much.
Also, everyone has said this is not me being someone else.
No.
Right.
This is totally you.
Now, here's something a lot of people don't know.
When you're doing the news and you're doing weather,
a lot of times you don't get to dress
up.
So it's been, what, 20-something years you've been doing weather?
I've never been able to dress up and do the weather.
So it's been 20 years.
Yeah.
This was a long time coming.
I bet.
I bet.
The cats are...
So you put the little kittens all over.
Put the cats on, and it's really not that far
from what I am in real life because I
I have nine and I have my three colonies
that I helped take care of across East Dallas.
I actually don't have enough cats on me, believe it or not.
But there's rollers in your hair.
Those rollers.
That's the worst.
Oh, goodness.
I put those in just now.
I think we're back to 1965 here with that kind of hair.
Now, when I get home and all the makeup
comes off and I'm finished for the day,
I sit on my couch in pajamas, not a bathrobe,
and then all the cats come to me.
So it's a little different.
But very similar.
Very, very similar.
I love this.
A little realistic costume.
Thank you.
Okay.
Are you going to do weather like this now?
Yeah, I got to go and we're going to do weather.
Okay.
I have my clicker in the litter box, so let's do it.
He's got the clicker there.
We're still tracking showers, so we've got to talk about that.
And then, more importantly, I will be out trick-or-treating.
If you know Swiss Avenue and Lakewood neighborhood,
I'm going to be out there like this tomorrow.
Oh, that's fun.
Now do you need an umbrella?
Are we going to be able to put it away?
Ah, that's the question, right?
I got the answer.
I think we're going to be looking good
tomorrow evening, so it should be great.
Oh, you're looking good.
Our Fox 4 views are gloomy, yes,
but we really don't have a lot of precipitation on these
specific cameras.
We're in the mid and upper 60s right now,
and we're only going to climb just a little
bit more as the day goes on.
So this wet weather, this is the first little batch
that's moving through.
Look at what's happening across the state.
Yeah, the heaviest rain.
is out west, and that's where those higher rain totals
are going to be for the most part.
But we're going to see this first batch move through,
and then we've got more that's already
moving into San Antonio, parts of the hill country.
That's what's going to lift in late
afternoon and going through the evening hours.
So here's a better look at that radar close to home,
where I do think we will have some
of these more moderate downpours now starting to try and move
Move into parts of Navarro County, lighter showers now moving into
To Dallas, Collin County, you will be next.
But just wet roadways, honestly,
as we go through the rest of our morning hours.
Some heavier precipitation around Parham.
No lightning here.
Absolutely fantastic.
And that's what we've got going on.
So take your time on the roads.
On and off shower potential will be out there.
So this batch moves through.
And then we've got our next one later on.
So temperatures today, not climbing much.
Low and mid-70s for most of us.
I do think we'll see some showers late afternoon
with more potential in the late night hours.
So if you have some fun dinner plans,
maybe heading to a costume party or Friday night
lights, there'll still be some showers on radar.
We're likely to start Saturday a bit soggy too,
but here's the best news.
This last piece of energy gets out of here.
So throughout the afternoon,
we will be drying from west to east, and I think it's looking
good for trick-or-treaters.
Temperatures will be near 70 as the kids
are out there, and I'm out there having fun.
If we were to see a shower or two.
It would be in far east Texas,
but I do think we are quiet for the most part.
We do have now early next week.
This is what I got to talk about
because there is a signal of a pretty strong cold front
that's going to head our way,
and we could have some strong thunderstorms in that Monday
night, Tuesday time frame.
Still a few days out to fine tune the timing on it,
but once that moves through, we are
drying out.
Cooler air will move in.
We'll be back to seasonal norms,
and it should feel really nice by the middle of next week.
Okay.
Let's talk about this seven-day forecast.
Scattered showers will keep it at 40% for us today.
First round this morning, more late afternoon, evening,
and then I think for the first half of tomorrow,
it'll be scattered in nature, drying out for trick-or-treaters.
And then after you are in that candy coma, don't worry,
we fall back this weekend.
So don't forget, we begin November on Sunday, very warm.
We gain that hour of sleep,
and then all eyes will be on that cold front potential
Monday night into Tuesday.
