Alright, let's run down your weather headlines here.
Some spotty late rain tonight and again on Friday.
For Saturday, I think the bulk of the rain is going to fall during
the morning hours into the early afternoon. And then we're going
to quickly dry as we head through Saturday afternoon.
We've got a warm, dry Sunday on the way.
Some sunshine, certainly more clouds than sun.
And then another storm system comes our way Monday night,
Tuesday morning, election day next week.
That'll be followed by some cooler air.
Let's look at your trick-or-treat forecast here.
As Frankenstein does a little dance there,
73 right around 6 p.m., mostly cloudy skies.
I do think the rain should be gone by then.
Pleasant temperatures,
69 at 8 o'clock with a partly cloudy sky and very light wind.
So all in all, that is not bad at all.
Here is a look at Doppler radar, and we've got some very light rain
that's starting to spread in from the south and southwest.
Not all of what you're seeing here, though.
It is fighting some dry air, but some sprinkles,
some very light rain falling in parts of Tarrant County,
around Fort Worth, Arlington, up towards the mid-cities.
Certainly a little better coverage of light rain down
to our south from Glen Rose and Cleburne,
eastward over towards Corsicana and Gun Barrel City.
And then we do have a narrow band of some heavier showers now
that have set up to our west and northwest,
extending from Breckenridge over Possum Kingdom Lake.
And these are moving.
Moving now into southern Young County
and southern portions of Jack County.
High today was 79.
The morning low was 68, 73, and 52, the averages.
We should be much cooler in the morning.
That was about 16 degrees above normal for this time of the year.
Looking out there right now, that, of course,
is our Texas Motor Speedway camera.
Cloudy skies.
We're currently in the mid-70s.
A little cooler down to our south where we've had some rain,
light rain falling over the last couple of hours.
69 Hillsboro.
On the flip side, it's still close to 80 at Bonham
and 81 at this hour in Paris.
We expand the view and you can see a solid shield right now
of light to some pockets of moderate rain from Del Rio,
San Angelo, up towards the Abilene vicinity.
As this disturbance slowly moves in from the south and west.
Periods of some spotty light rain
as we head through tonight into tomorrow.
Roughly about a 40% chance of seeing some rain for Friday.
Not expecting anything heavy.
Certainly no severe weather with this system.
And then we're going to see one more disturbance bring
a final round of some scattered showers.
Mainly the first half of Saturday.
Saturday morning into the early afternoon.
And then that disturbance quickly moves off to our east.
We may see a few breaks in the afternoon with mostly cloudy skies.
Looking ahead then.
Sunday, looks like we get a dry break, more clouds than sunshine.
And then here comes our next system here,
cold front and an upper level low.
We'll likely see a line of showers
and thunderstorms developing out to our west.
Those push through here Monday night.
This is early Tuesday morning, Election Day,
so we still could have some rain and thunderstorm activity
for at least the morning hours on Election Day.
That should quickly move off to our east that the afternoon is dry.
Tuesday evening is dry,
and then we get a little shot of cool air for the middle of next week.
66, the overnight low, with some of those spotty light rain showers.
Seven-day forecast here, a little cooler for the next couple of days.
Saturday's high, 75.
Sunday, 81.
Low 80s on Monday.
The best chance of showers
and storms would be Monday night into Tuesday morning.
And then we'll see beautiful fall weather Wednesday and Thursday.
