Mal Waldrep on his role for Alabama
Oct 30, 2026
It was another day of us, you know,
getting better as a group, as a unit, as a team.
Thank you.
You know, it was definitely a step in the right direction.
A bunch of guys still getting healthy and everything,
so I think it was a good step in the right direction.
What's the season been like for you going back
to fall camp when you were in left guard
and then all the different times you've had to fill in?
Just how have you been able to kind of stay ready?
Are you ready?
For me, it's just been taking it day by day, one step at a time.
Never know when my number's gonna get called, especially week two.
It was a big job to step up, but I feel like I'm prepared for it.
Coach Klum has done a great job helping me
be ready for any situation like that,
whether that's going at center or guard.
But overall, just taking it day by day.
With Grayson being out, how have you seen your role elevate on this season?
Just being there whenever my teammates need me,
to be a good communicator.
And to be someone that my team can rely on to go hard every play, so.
