Jennifer Lawrence reveals reason she 'came down hard' on crew over uncensored scenes

Don't mess with J-Law. On Call Her Daddy, Jennifer Lawrence revealed why she came down hard on movie bosses after she learned unauthorized crew members were allowed to see her film nude scenes. The 36-year-old explained to host Alex Cooper she felt a personal duty as an established actress to speak up, with the hopes of protecting younger, lesser-known actresses who may not feel comfortable voicing their concerns. While the Oscar winner did not share which project she was working on when the incident occurred, Lawrence's first ever nude scene was in the 2018 film Red Sparrow for which she stepped out at the London premiere in a revealing gold dress. Lawrence also went fully nude without a body double in a wild fight scene on the beach at night in the 2023 comedy No Hard Feelings. In the R-rated flick Lawrence who also produced the film plays an Uber driver hired to date a shy 18 year old boy played by Andrew Barth Feldman. The latest Call Her Daddy episode isn't the first time Lawrence has spoken out about nudity in Hollywood. In 2014, she was among over a hundred female celebrities whose private photos were leaked and posted on the website 4chan by a hacker who broke into Apple's iCloud storage system. Years later in 2017, Lawrence broke her silence about the scandal, telling The Hollywood Reporter that it took a long time for her to recover. When the hacking thing happened, it was so unbelievably violating that you can't even put it into words. I think I'm still actually processing it. When I first found out it was happening, my security reached out to me. It was happening minute to minute. It was almost like a ransom situation where they were releasing new ones every hour or so. And I don't know, I feel like I got gangbanged by the f***ing planet. Like there's not one person in the world that is not capable of seeing these intimate photos of me. You can just be at a barbecue and somebody can pull them up on their phone. That was a really impossible thing to process. Lawrence also revealed the nude photos which were leaked were originally taken for her boyfriend at the time, Nicholas Holt.
