Okay, if you're on the hunt for the best
Halloween decorations in our area,
take a trip to Plainview, Long Island.
All right, that's where Fox 5's Jodi Goldberg joins us now.
And she found an entire block full of spooky, scary, decked-out houses.
Jodi.
We've been seeing some pretty impressive
houses every night here on Channel 5,
but wait until you see this.
We're talking ghouls, goblins, ghosts,
everything that goes along with Halloween.
And here's the thing, like you said, this isn't just one house.
Guys, it's two houses here along Presidential Drive East.
The hardest part about the assignment,
making sure you get the full effect.
So let's show you some of the video on the screen with me as well,
and we'll spin the camera around so you can get it as best as you can.
Dozens of animatronics, a custom Frankenstein,
singing pumpkins, and a 20-foot skeleton towering over it all.
And let's not forget, Dan, let's just spin the camera around
to show the 13 20-foot skeletons here on the lawn.
We'll tell you all about the masterminds behind it in a second,
but it's a complete sensory overload out here.
Everywhere you look, guys, there's something
basically walking, talking, or singing.
You can see it for yourself,
and it only gets cooler as the sun goes down.
The masterminds behind it all, right here.
Let me introduce you to Matt and Bradley, two producers,
but they share the same enthusiasm for Halloween.
Matt is a CEO for a security company by day.
How did you get involved in this?
Sixteen years ago, my youngest daughter
and I wanted to do something together.
So we started buying a Home Depot prop here,
another prop the next year.
And it's turned into an entire haunt that we now have over 400
different props and animatronics that we try to celebrate.
And we celebrate it. It's a charity.
so we bring it back and we did it for ourselves
and now it's turned into something for the
community and Bradley what do you love best about putting
this display on every year i always loved
halloween and being creative and doing it myself
and spending all the weeks putting it all together
i just love seeing all the kids
and families that can make lasting impact on them every year
absolutely incredible
and like they said it's not just about the scares guys it's also about
raising money matt raises money for Mighty Madison a non-profit
and Bradley is raising money for long
Island Cares. They've got thousands of dollars in donations
and people who come out are donating to
the very important causes.
And so the displays are open through Halloween from six o'clock to
nine o'clock. It goes dark right after that.
We're talking a 25 minute walk through here.
Giant animatronics. Come see it for yourself here in Plainview.
Let's send it back to you.
That is an incredible display. Wow. All right.
Amazing. That's huge. All right. Amazing.
Very cool. Jody, thanks so much.
