And Long Island heading out here for the rest of today.
Here's our view from our Bethpage studio looking towards Hicksville.
Look at the beautiful fall foliage out there.
We're looking at moderate colors right now and also some clouds.
It's been a while since we've seen some clouds in any wet weather.
Right now, it's 10 days since the last time we had any rainfall.
Today, well, it's not over yet, but today really is day number 11.
Last time we had rain was October 17th.
So far this month, 1.98 inches, and that's almost an inch and a half.
below normal. Yeah, it's been a very dry month here on Long Island.
We're dry the rest of today.
61 is your average high temperature.
Right along the immediate South Shore, you'll be in the upper
50s. Normal high is 60 degrees.
Clouds tonight at 47, so it's dry the next 24 hours. Let's see
what's happening. Notice some areas of gray coming down
from upstate New York. We'll see some clouds
out there today, but we have dry weather conditions.
Now, the next round of wet weather, let's show you.
On Monday, there may be a sprinkle or two,
a very light shower Monday afternoon.
A lot more clouds Monday into Tuesday, Election Day.
We're going to have the threat of some rain showers into Wednesday.
So right now, we're dry into the weekend
and then more rain next Thursday into Friday.
So not much wet weather out there for now.
We're looking at 50s to low 60s
for those high temperatures today, sun and clouds.
We're right where we should be for this time of year.
Overnight lows are in the 40s.
We're actually a little bit above average
with the cloud cover for tonight.
Now, heading towards Saturday and Halloween,
noontime temperature around 58, 4 p.m. around 60.
So it's a mild Halloween,
and it's dry weather conditions for the trick-or-treaters.
So you can see in our 10-day forecast, dry Thursday, Friday,
we're warming up 60s to around 70, looking good on Halloween.
Some late-day clouds on Sunday.
We turn the clocks back Sunday
and the threat of some showers towards Election Day.
