Students on hunger strike in India demand restoration of student union

It's been 20 years, there is no student union in the campus. So our demand is the restoration of the student union, including the campus bans and all restrictions regarding the disciplinary action should be revoked. Basically a direct attack on the rights of students. A union gives a political platform, a platform from which to raise their respective campus-wide issues as well as to discuss the larger issues of the country and of the states that we are respectively coming from. coming from. This lack of a union has deprived the students of their voices. This is a university, not a jail or something, but still the forces are everywhere. And we are under surveillance by the Delhi police.
