Chicago weather: Sunshine today, then a chance of rain

It's a beautiful day of 1:14 in the afternoon. We've got blue skies, sunny conditions, warm temperatures on the way today for everyone. So currently it is 73 degrees outside. We have a breeze coming in at 5 to 10 miles per hour, but check out the temperatures around the area. All of us in the low to mid 70s. 75 from Gary to Kankakee as well as Morris and Joliet. But our future cast shows changes brewing, including increased cloud cover with a chance for a few showers as we get into the overnight hours and early tomorrow. Tomorrow is going to be cooler. You can see by midday, 115, we're hovering around 70 degrees with some showery activity. And then we have high pressure quickly building for a short time before additional showers are possible on Friday and this upcoming weekend. So this is 715 on your Friday morning. Temperatures ranging in the 40s and 50s. Then we get into the afternoon, 2 p.m., and temperatures are hovering closer to the upper 50s and low 60s. So, yes, we have the chance for rain Friday and this weekend, as mentioned. But specifically Halloween, I know you're curious, is it going to be raining? We are going to have the potential for rain, but it isn't going to be downpouring all day long into the evening. So just keep your mind on the radar. If the skies look like they're getting dark, you can check in on your radar on our app and see if the rain is headed your direction. Temperature-wise, we're doing okay. For Halloween, the afternoon, right around 64 degrees. By the evening, down to 62. So it's not going to be too uncomfortable for the kiddos. They don't have to layer up too much. Maybe a long-sleeved shirt. Seven-day forecast, 62 is our high on Friday, and then Saturday, as mentioned, 64. 66 expected on Sunday with some scattered showers possible. That's going to carry us into the beginning of next week as well with highs in the mid-to-upper 60s Monday and Tuesday with that chance for rain.
