From freezing to the 70s! Big warm-up ahead for Massachusetts

Here's your Boston 25 weather expert, Chief Meteorologist Sherry Spear. So coldest morning of the week and honestly one of the coldest mornings that we've had this season. You can see your hour-by-hour forecast in the greater Boston area has wake-up temperatures around the freezing mark. It is freezing. It is frosty out there in most towns and cities. Temperatures are slow to recover. Warm-up is really after about 8 a.m. And it will send us back into the 50s today. We're looking at about 55 in Boston, 58 in Foxborough, 57 in Fitchburg today. Tonight won't be quite as cool as we take a dip back into the 40s instead of the 20s and 30s. And then tomorrow, how about that? Upper 60s, lower 70s. It's going to feel a little more like September than October tomorrow. Afternoon highs get even warmer Friday with more widespread 70s in the forecast. And then we're basically back to normal for the weekend. Let's put a couple things on your radar. First of all, it's going to get warm and a little breezy at the end of the week. I see gusts 20 to 25 miles per hour Thursday, Friday. Not going to do damage, but it will ruffle those leaves a little bit. It's likely dry through the middle, if not the end of next week. That means the weekend weather is shaping up dry. Here's Saturday. Here's Sunday. We start out a little bit cool with highs in the 50s on Saturday. Sunday, we'll see some more 60s on the map. Trick-or-treating forecast for Saturday evening probably features lower 50s and maybe even a drop into the 40s in some areas as you're out in the evening area. So it's going to be cool but not freezing cold. You can see weekend weather is nice and bright. And then early next week, we're going to beef up the clouds just a tiny bit Monday and Tuesday with some slight shower chances.
