Heavy police presence seen in Dixmoor

Saquon's connectivity issue has been resolved. So let's check in with her for those just joining us. She is now in Dixmoor at the scene of a shooting. Say, what do we know so far? Well, we don't really know exactly what the scene is all about. I'll step out of the way again. We'll try this one more time. And, you know, that connection issue might have been because these law enforcement officials are using technology right now. We actually saw a drone kind of flying into the area and it looked like it went into the home. But you can see really heavy law enforcement presence here. We have counted several agencies, sounds like they're about to go into the house right now. So clearly, just based on what we've seen here in the last 30 minutes, they're obviously trying to gain access inside this home. You have a whole line of FBI agents, so special agents here, federal agents who are lined up ready to go inside. Now in the last 10 minutes or so, I would say we heard loud noises, loud bangs that sound very similar to flash bangs. And there's a lot of intensity right now. So we're giving you guys a live picture from the ground, and there's a lot happening. There's a lot of yelling and a lot of commotion, and you can see just the number of these federal agents. Again, all of their vests say FBI on them, and you're seeing how large this presence is just from the FBI alone. Obviously, there's an armored vehicle in the driveway of this house that they're focused in on. And we were talking with neighbors this morning as well. If we can show that shot, guys, I don't know if we can get that, but there are some people in handcuffs. We don't know their ages at this point, so we want to try to not show their faces. But we do know we're seeing about at least two or three people, they look young, in handcuffs. And they were just chatting with authorities for a while, probably for about 30 minutes or so, just outside of the house. So it's unclear what their connection is to the house, to these authorities, really what the whole nature of this incident is. Lots of loud noises, though, out here, as I mentioned. They are using things like flashbangs. you can see that they have machine guns out just out in the open. In that armored vehicle as well, there was an FBI agent just at the ready basically with a machine gun out. And so right now it's unclear exactly what they're doing, right? It does seem like they're backing off a little bit. They may be trying to break the door to actually physically gain entry. There's a lot of questions here. And also not to mention, we saw them going into the house at least and then kind of checking out the backside of the house as well, like the south side. So there's a lot of commotion. I'm taking a look at my notes here, guys, just bear with me. There's no sort of crime tape or anything like that, which is another interesting part. I mean, they've blocked off this road here on Cooper Street at 145th with these law enforcement vehicles, some of them marked, some of them unmarked. It sounds like there were some SWAT agents or officers who went to the side of the house. The front door is open or at least it was. There's one man with a suit on. That was the man who just came over here and talked to us a little bit ago. And then there's some other people, it seems like investigators. We're gonna move our shot a little bit. If you're seeing this in real time and it's shaky because we just wanna get you the best visual we can while at the same time keeping our crew safety in mind as well. At the time, we were also just told by authorities to get out of the street just to make sure that we can let traffic through. So here's another shot of this right now. We're gonna try to get that for you. I know that we have a shot from up above and honestly, it's really hard to make out what this is. I mean, right now, all of these FBI agents are standing by and it does look like they're about to do something at some point here. They're working on something on the ground and I'm not exactly sure what that is. Okay. Okay. So I'm hearing that it's, it seems like they did. It looks like they got a person. Can we zoom in on that a little bit? Yeah. Yeah. I know the truck is blocking this on. Usually they do this. Yeah. So it does look like they have a person on the ground at this point. It's blocked right now by this vehicle. And there's a lot of yelling in the background. And I'm seeing a lot of federal authorities talking with neighbors who seem to be very aggravated and frustrated with what's been going on. When I talked to these guys when I first got out here, a lot of them told me they had no idea what was going on. It's possible that they are looking for some transparency here as to what's happening in their neighborhood. Of course, this is obviously an active investigation. It's an active scene. So it definitely takes some time for these authorities to get back to us on the answers that I know so many people are probably wanting at home right now, including us. But we'll stay on top of this for you. We'll continue giving you these looks. We'll continue updating you. And of course, if we hear of anything else or any sort of confirmation, we can certainly let you know. There's some crying happening in the street. Okay. And we don't really know why.
