Elon Musk has just dropped $158 million
on the Texas Senate race, and honestly, this
is not even the meanest thing that he's done to James Tallarico.
In fact, the meanest thing he did to James was let Tallarico talk.
That's right, guys, just no hidden camera,
no secret dossier, just four minutes of Tallarico's
greatest hits in his own voice,
with his own face smiling the whole time like a substitute
teacher who just discovered essential oils.
Now, guys, God is non-binary.
Women are neighbors with a uterus.
Oh, and Texas oil, guys.
The industry that paid for half the pickups
in the state is apparently a cassette tape from 1985.
Elon Musk posted it to X, and then he posted it again.
Then he posted it again and again and again,
just in case anybody in Lubbock was napping.
Now, here's the twist, guys.
Tallarico's campaign watched all that footage,
and they came up with a bold, brilliant defense.
It was AI.
Hmm.
Robots?
computers, evil algorithms putting words in his mouth.
So, of course, Ken Paxton's team. Yes,
Ken Paxton. Ken Paxton's team answered
with the most devastating weapon in modern politics,
the play button. Shockingly, shockingly,
I actually want you to sit down for this one
because the real tapes, they said the same thing.
Whoops. Yeah. And while Team Tallarica was busy
blaming the robots, rural Texas,
they did something that the experts never saw coming.
It showed up, guys. Tiny towns with one stoplight,
two churches, and absolutely zero patients lined
up around the courthouse on day one of early voting.
President Donald Trump is in Paxton's
corner. The richest man on earth is in Paxton's corner.
And CNN is still calling it a coin flip.
Bless their hearts. So today,
we're going to go ahead and connect every dot. The $158 million,
the repost that rattled the campaign,
the AI excuse that fell apart faster than a gas station
sushi roll. I mean, seriously, show of hands,
who's eating sushi at a gas station? I'm not
even going to mess around with them hot dogs
that have been rolling around for God knows how long.
Oh, and why Elon Musk refuses to let Texas become
the California that he already escaped.
Now, if you or somebody you love needs Medicare help,
Chapter offers it completely free,
zero pressure, phone number down below, 909-563-8279.
Yeah, I left the phone number in
the description, guys, as well as their link.
And the average senior is saving about 1100 bucks a
year. So definitely worth calling.
And I'm being told that the best time to call is on the weekend.
So give them a call, guys. And if you're new here,
go ahead and subscribe. It's totally free. And
unlike Tallarico's defense, it's not artificial.
Then if this video delivers by the end, which I
think it will hit the like button for me,
really appreciate the support. So let's go and start
with the numbers. One hundred fifty eight million dollars.
Picture it right. Picture the size of
that check. So many freaking zeros.
It needs its own zip code. So Elon Musk handed that money to
the Senate Leadership Fund,
and the Senate Leadership Fund sent $158 million straight
into the main super PAC backing Ken Paxton.
On top of that, Elon's own America PAC has spent nearly
$23 million more directly in Texas.
Now, follow the money, guys. It clearly never lies. This race
this race has now swallowed more than half a billion dollars in ads.
Turn on a TV in Lubbock right now.
Every commercial break, it's the same race. The
weather report is basically a political ad with some clouds.
Oh, and don't get cocky, guys.
Tallarico, he ain't broke.
He just raised a record $64 million in three months.
So this is clearly a
heavyweight fight here.
Now, President Trump is in Paxton's corner, so we should also be aware
that so is the richest man on earth.
Most billionaires buy yachts. And I'm sure they
have already. But Elon Musk, he bought Texas's undivided attention.
Half a billion dollars in
ads means that your TV, your phone,
and your mailbox are officially a war zone. Every commercial
break of the campaign. Your weather report has an opinion.
So here's the one thing that won't
scream at you. The Ryan report, guys.
My free newsletter. The stories behind the headlines
in plain english before cnn gets around to them
no 158 million dollars required no elon musk
repost needed the link is in the description down below join
for free now money is only half the
weapon the other half fits elon's pocket his phone that's right guys
so elon musk he took a four
minute ad and posted it on x and then he posted it again
and again different captions same Tallarico
and the ad doesn't it really doesn't even need
spooky music i know halloween's right around the
corner. It does not need slow motion.
It opens with one simple line. Every word you're about to
hear is Tallarico's. That's it, guys.
This is the whole trick. Every word you're about to hear
is James Tallarico's. He says he's running on his faith.
Here's his faith. God is non-binary.
Christianity is a feminist religion. On the police.
You're always rich to me that defund
the police is um considered off limits
in our political debate on his own race for me prophetic
voices like jesus have helped me reckon
with my own whiteness on your guns and i think so
assault weapons ban still on the table absolutely
on your kids if you deny your child's gender
identity that that's incredibly harmful and and whether
or not we can we label it with the term
abuse i mean it's abusive for sure on ice it
is time to tear down this secret police force
on being white so if you come from a place of of privilege
which i have my entire life as a white
boy growing up in texas sometimes it's a painful process
to learn about the ways in which i've been
complicit in the oppression of of marginalized people in the state
who decides a child's gender
talarico says i just want to clarify that i i don't think
um gender identity is something people
can see differently there's only one person
who can determine a child's gender identity and that's
the child. I was there when you defended the drag.
Who's your favorite drag queen in Texas?
Oh my gosh, probably Alyssa Edwards. Alyssa Edwards?
I love Markie Mays. Thank you so much.
On prisons. Poverty is violence. Pollution is violence.
And yes, prison is violence. People
don't belong in cages.
It's hard to imagine a world without prisons, but it was also hard to
imagine a world without telegrams and cassette tapes.
On masculinity. No need to sit and cry
over you know your whiteness
or your masculinity something that you love that's not family or
friends um i love and just say this because it's
on my mind the trans children who showed up
yesterday at the state capitol you saw it
in the anti-lgbtq legislation including the bill that
would have denied gender affirming health care
to trans children all these ideologies stem from this
this christofascism on gender so gender as you
and i both know is something that the medical
profession acknowledges
is a spectrum modern science obviously recognizes there are many more
than two biological sexes in fact there are six
On abortion, I want to acknowledge that our trans
community needs abortion care too. What does James
Talarico call women? Neighbors with a uterus every
Every one of our neighbors with a uterus became
the property of the state.
One of our neighbors with a uterus
to be able to control their own body.
Everyone with a uterus in our state.
On girls sports.
The way I fought for trans kids in the legislature
is how I will fight for the U.S. Senate, and
my position hasn't changed.
I still think these should be local decisions,
sport by sport, athlete by athlete.
And I think I have the most inclusive policy
of any candidate who's running.
I agree.
I know things are getting clipped and stuff,
but my views, my position hasn't changed.
race again. I think we have to understand,
especially for the white educators that are
on this call, that these violent hierarchies,
these systems, white supremacy, heteropatriarchy,
economic exploitation, those things have colonized our own minds.
On Texas oil. We all know that
Texas has been a leader in oil and gas,
but in many ways, that's like being a leader in cassette
tapes in the 1980s that industry is not going
to last on what you eat it is now existential that
we try to reduce our meat consumption
and that we try to respect animals in all aspects of society
and so I I am proud to say that our campaign has officially become
a non-meat campaign and on the
American flag but the American flag is such
a complicated symbol for most of us that's James
Talarico in his own words he told you
who he is. Talarico is for they, them. Paxton is for you,
now picture this okay a rancher in his truck cab
at a gas station a mom at the kitchen table before
school pickup a deacon in a church parking lot
after wednesday night service phones are lighting
up all over texas it's the same video same jaw drop
and then the ad closes with the line that
pretty much took on a life of its own.
Talarico is for them. Paxton is for you. Eight words,
stuck in Texas heads like a country song chorus.
Tallarico spent millions of dollars introducing
himself to Texas. Elon Musk spent four minutes letting him finish
the job. Now, grab a chair,
folks. Everyone gather around.
Gather around like it's a campfire. Here's the playlist.
God is non-binary, from a man who says that he's running on his faith.
Christianity is a feminist
religion. Somewhere in Waco,
a Baptist grandma just dropped her sweet tea all over the floor.
On kids? Only the child decides their gender.
Parents who disagree? They're abusive. They're
abusive. How dare you tell your son he's a boy?
So, of course, if your 6-year-old announces that
he's a pirate, I guess it's time to just go ahead and book the peg leg.
Women? Neighbors with a uterus. Very romantic.
He even had a favorite drag queen already,
instantly. Texas oil, you know the industry that built half the state,
is like cassette tapes in
the 1980s. He's also proud to run a non-meat campaign in Texas,
home of brisket. This is
like a vegan stand at a rodeo.
Oh, and the American flag? It's a complicated symbol,
according to him. Defund the police?
Shouldn't be off limits. An assault weapons ban? Absolutely
on the table. His defense on the God line?
Satire. Satire for the God line. Man, you can't
made this stuff up. Shockingly, nobody laughed.
Satire usually comes with a punchline. This one
came with a campaign. Now, quick,
think of the one person in your life who still says that
Tallarico seems like such a nice young man.
You already know who this is, guys. Don't argue with
him. Just go ahead and send this video
and let Tallarico do the talking. So how did Tallarico
react to hearing his own voice?
Well, of course, he blamed the robots. Ken Paxton, he said, was
making fake AI videos, putting words in his mouth.
Now, to be fair, one Paxton ad did use an AI
Tallarico scribbling in a Bible. So the answer was simple.
Play the real tape. You were the subject
of this AI generated attack ad earlier this week.
In the beginning, God was non-binary and he wasn't
a Christian. And God said, let there be six genders.
And there were. What was your reaction
to that ad? Should that kind of ad be banned?
Actually, I tried in the legislature to ban
AI deepfake videos in political campaigns because they are misleading.
They are lying about a
candidate in this race. And so I think Texans
are fed up with these kind of lies in our politics.
They want elected leaders
who are going to shoot straight with them about their record and about
what they're going to do for the people of Texas.
And so these AI deepfake ads don't add anything
to our civic discourse. They don't do anything
to elucidate the choice that's in front of voters.
And I think it's why we have to we have to ban
these deep fakes from our political campaigns
Picture a split screen on the left
Tallarico says that he's not with the chinese communist party
on the right his vote against sb17 the bill limiting texas land buys
to buyers
Tied to china and other hostile countries.
You can't even make this stuff up guys on the left side
I don't support sex change surgeries for kids
on the right side tallarico calling sb14
the ban on those treatments the most dangerous bill.
His reason? He trusts parents and doctors.
Trust the experts. America tried that during COVID.
How well did that go? Oh, and then his
own word. Christofascism. Again, no robot required.
Tallarico can call it a deep fake all he wants.
It's footage, guys. Turns out the scariest thing
in this race is not AI. It's its own microphone.
Now, here's why Tallarico worries so many Texas believers.
Matthew 7, 15. Beware of false prophets
who come to you in sheep's clothing.
Inwardly, they're ravening wolves. Now, Shakespeare said
it too, 400 years ago. The devil can cite scripture for his purpose.
Now, picture Tallarico on a
truck bed, soft voice, gentle smile, the crowd is just nodding along.
And then he says, God is
non-binary in the same tone that most people use to order a latte.
No flinch, no blush, not even a
sip of water. This is really what makes him different
from Jasmine Crockett. Jasmine Crockett
is a loud mouth. Crockett came in swinging.
You always knew exactly where she stood,
mostly because she was yelling it. Tallarico whispers.
He quotes the Bible. He sounds like
he's your youth pastor. But then he
also says only the child decides a child's gender. Now let that
land for a second. Texts have heard sweet talk before,
usually from a guy selling a used truck
with no brakes. The voice is soft. It's gentle.
The words are not. Okay, guys, so the ad says
Paxton is for you. So what does this actually look like?
Well, Ken Paxton, he has spent years
as Texas Attorney General doing the stuff that makes Washington sweat,
fighting for parents'
rights over what happens to their kids,
fighting for border enforcement, taking other states to
court over how they ran their elections.
So now the critics, they're going to bring up his
2023 impeachment. Fine.
The Texas Senate held a trial and acquitted him. Next. So here's what
Texans really care about. It's not gender spectrums.
It's not drag queen rankings. Prices.
Polls this year show Texans rank affordability
as their number one worry. Picture a mom at the
HEB grocery store checkout watching
the total climb like a SpaceX rocket. Groceries, rent,
gas. Four years of Biden-era prices,
and voters remember who was driving the bus.
Now, Tallarico, he wants to debate how many sexes there are.
Bold campaign strategy, sir.
Texans want to debate how much eggs cost.
Now, one of those conversations pays the light bill.
While CNN started at Austin, the rest of Texas was lacing up its boots.
Day one of early voting,
folks, Callahan County, a place that President Trump won
by 78 points, yes, President Trump
dominated, cast 16% of its entire 2024 turnout.
On day one, Jeff Davis County, same thing,
Armstrong County showed up to? Picture it, guys.
One stoplight, two churches, a Dairy Queen,
and a line wrapped around the courthouse lawn before
the coffee even got cold. Lines like this
in a midterm. In October, guys. So do the math.
500 votes right here. 2,000 there. 5,000 down
the road. Small towns add up fast.
And so here's what CNN never sees coming. Picture a Latino
family of eight in San Antonio, all voting red, except one brother.
Let's be honest, guys. Every
family has that one brother. So look,
the so-called experts call this a toss-up. Don't get comfortable
though. Tallarico is strong in the cities and the Austin suburbs.
Let's not forget that the fight is
not over, guys. It's just getting loud.
So now we need to talk polls. Yes, we got to talk about the
polls, guys. Everybody's favorite fortune cookies.
So one CNN poll has Tallarico at 51, Paxton at 49.
another from Qantas flips it, Paxton 47.2,
Tallarico 46.7, half a point. So the experts
agree on exactly one thing. They clearly have no idea.
But here's a fun fact from CNN. Yes,
I know, CNN. Their own data shows Republicans
in Trump states have beaten their final Senate
polls by about four points in 2018, in 2020, and in 2022.
Now, shockingly, guys, the polls just
keep missing in the same direction isn't it funny how
that works isn't why you should in fact be
nervous if you're a democrat
and perhaps be you know there's some reason for a little excitement
if you're a republican gop outperformed
the final senate poll averages i want you to look by the
state's prior presidential result ergo blue states
the states that trump lost and then the red states
that trump won look at this the gop is far more likely
to outperform their final senate poll
averages by 4.1 points in the states that trump won
and we know in this election cycle kate that
the democrats need to win in a lot of trump states
in order to win control the senate and not just
trump states but states that trump won by double digits back in 2024
so you see this 4.1 if this
was ford and blue states we really have not seen
that republicans outperform their polls in the
blue states it's really concentrating
the red states we saw it in 2018 we saw it in 2020 we
saw it in 2022 we saw it now you guys remember ann seltzer
her famous 2024 poll had iowa leaning
kamala harris that's right yeah president trump ended up winning iowa
by 13 over kamala harris
this is not a miss this is a this is a completely different zip code
so quick question has anybody
actually called you for a poll anybody ever like
your phone rings about your car's extended
warranty every other day but never never once
for a pollster huh isn't that funny how that works not
that I want them calling my phone number anyway.
So CNN, they can wave its polls around. The
courthouse lines are telling a completely different story.
Bad polls are not a reason
to stay home. They're a reason to go vote.
Now, why does Elon Musk care this much? I think it's
pretty simple, guys. He's seen this movie before.
Elon Musk moved Tesla's headquarters out of
California into Texas. SpaceX and X followed. Why?
Lower taxes, less red tape, and a government that
doesn't treat every new idea like it's a crime scene.
California's top export these days? U-Hauls.
Yeah, picture a moving truck rolling east on I-10.
California's shrinking in the rearview mirror.
Elon Musk in the passenger seat finally exhaling.
So, do you really think the guy who escaped
California is going to sit back
and watch Texas turn into another California? Exactly. His own
hometown now? Not a chance, guys. Not a chance.
Elon Musk's not going to let that happen. And
This is not just about Texas.
A Texas flip could hand Democrats control of the U.S. Senate. That
would jam up President Trump's agenda for at least the next two years.
Folks in Michigan and Arizona
are already asking the same question.
Can Elon do our state next? Yeah. Texas is not just a state
anymore. Texas is the test case.
All right, Texas, here's the part where you come in. Republicans
love Election Day, like brisket and complaining about traffic on I-35.
But this year, don't wait.
Early voting runs through Friday, October 30th.
Election day is Tuesday, November 3rd. Now
remember, 2022 in Harris County?
Polling places ran out of ballot paper. People got turned away,
paper guys, in the energy capital of the world.
And don't stop at the Senate race either. Vote
for Governor Abbott. Vote for the House seats like Brandon Herrera
in District 23 all the way
down the ballot. Bring your spouse, bring your cousin,
bring the neighbor who swears that his
vote doesn't count, buy him breakfast tacos if you have to.
Remember the cassette tape, guys?
Tallarico says that Texas oil is a cassette tape from the 80s.
Texans know how a cassette works.
Press play.
Then on November 3, rewind him right out of the race.
God bless Texas and God bless the United States of America.
Here we are, guys.
The richest man on earth bet $158 million on Texas
and the most damaging thing in the
whole campaign turned out to be Tallarico's own microphone.
CNN called it a coin flip.
Rural Texas called it a reason to show up. If today delivered,
do one thing on the way out. Hit the like
button. Takes a second, zero dollars,
and it helps more Texans to find this video before November 3rd.
We'll see you on the next one.
