Russia just agreed to fuel America.
Yes, that Russia, guys. The one that we've been told is
the end of the world every night since 2022.
Yeah, so Vladimir Putin picked up the phone
with President Trump, and now millions of tons
of Russian diesel are headed into the world market.
The Treasury Department rewrote
the sanctions rules overnight to make this happen. Sanctions
were supposed to last forever.
Turns out forever expires April 7th, kind of like a coupon. Oh,
and who's furious? Vladimir Zelensky.
He called it a gift to Putin, which is a bold complaint
coming from a man who's received more gifts
from American taxpayers than Santa Claus.
Then here's a twist, guys.
We're buying Russian diesel partly because we've stopped making enough
of our own. California's policies under Gavin
Newsom helped push refineries to close. Diesel's
out here costing more per gallon than a fancy oat milk latte,
and it's harder to get. So President
Trump skipped Sacramento and called Moscow.
It was easier to deal with the Kremlin than
to deal with California. Oh and then it gets wild.
Truckers just got tax-free red diesel.
The federal gas tax may disappear before the midterms
and governors in Pennsylvania, Washington
and Oregon are hugging their gas taxes like
a raccoon guarded a cheeseburger.
Folks, meanwhile, Ukraine keeps on bombing Russian refineries
which is a great plan if
if your goal is making diesel more expensive
for everybody on Earth, including you.
Now, Iran is boxed in at the Strait of Hormuz,
Canada's Mark Carney keeps on writing checks,
and NATO? Four years, guys.
Billions of dollars, endless summits, zero peace. President Trump did
more with one phone call than NATO did with a buffet budget.
And so now the critics say it's
only nine days of diesel. Okay, correct.
And they're missing the entire point here,
and I'm going to show you exactly why in today's video.
The media calls it a midterm stunt,
red October, maybe, but nobody's telling you why
your pump price hasn't dropped yet or who's
really keeping it high. Well, today we're going
to name the names. If you're new here, go ahead
and subscribe. It's free. It is the only thing
in this video that no governor can tax. And if you
where someone you love is on Medicare turning 65,
chapter offers completely free Medicare help,
real people, plain English, no pressure.
Hit the link in the description down below. I also left
your phone number down there, 909-563-8279.
The average senior, you're saving about 1100 bucks a
year. And if you like the show, hey, show me some love.
Hit the like button on the way out.
All right, let's start with the phone call, guys.
President Trump talks to Vladimir Putin,
one conversation, and all of a sudden Russia agrees to ship diesel,
Not someday, right away.
Here's the order. Trump's saying he's made a deal
with Vladimir Putin to import Russian diesel fuel
to the U.S. The announcement drawing criticism as American drivers
and businesses continue to
struggle with near record prices at the pump.
ABC's Marcus Moore is in London with details.
Marcus, good morning.
Oh, Wig, good morning.
Overnight, some market prices softened
on the news that Russia had agreed to release
300,000 tons of diesel to the United States and into the global market.
And in all, a total of 1.8 million tons will
be released over time as part of this deal.
Now, the Trump administration is hoping
an injection of diesel will help bring down prices.
But experts say that immediate release
of 300,000 tons of diesel would have a very little
effect or impact on prices long term.
and that that amount would only account
for half of U.S. daily consumption.
Also, there are doubts about whether
Russia can even fulfill its promise.
Of course, this comes just 30 days before the midterm elections.
President Trump hoping that it will boost his approval ratings.
These ratings have slumped in part because of the war in Ukraine.
And the ramifications of this deal reach to Ukraine as well.
Russia uses profits from its energy sales
to fund the war that's approaching five years.
This morning, Ukraine's president called this deal a gift to Putin.
about 300,000 tons first, then another 500,000 tons in November,
then a million tons. And then
once Russia's refineries get patched up, 3 million more.
This is not a delivery, folks. This is a
parade. Now, President Trump announces it on Truth Social.
Of course he does. No press conference,
no 40-page report, just a quick post.
The most powerful man on earth typing like your uncle
at Thanksgiving. Then Vladimir Zelensky hears about
this and he calls it a gift to Putin.
Pause for a second guys, think about
who's saying what here, okay? This is the man whose war has run
on American money for a good four straight years
at least your money, your grandkids' money, and now
he's worried about somebody getting
a gift, sir. You've received more care packages from America
than a summer camp. The latest diesel deal between
U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President
Vladimir Putin has officials here
in Ukraine outraged, namely Ukrainian President Vladimir
Zelensky, who called the move weak
and said that it would essentially embolden Russian
President Vladimir Putin,
because these funds that Russia uses from the sale of energy are
used to fund the war.
And Ukrainian officials vowed that they would continue
their strikes on Russian oil refineries.
But for everyday Ukrainians,
the move is something that they have come to expect from the U.S.
President.
My first reaction was shock, then outrage.
It was expected, especially
when your country is led by a person like Trump.
Trump is following his agenda. Ukraine should follow its own.
So Ukraine's own officials admitted that they were surprised.
They found out with the rest of us.
Turns out when you depend on Uncle Sam,
Uncle Sam doesn't always call you first.
Now, if Putin can change your gas price with one phone call,
you probably want to hear about
the next call before it hits your wallet, right?
This is exactly why the Ron Yates Report newsletter
is for. It's for free, lands in
your inbox, and it tells you exactly what
these deals actually mean for your bills,
for your budget, for your retirement.
Unlike Vladimir Zelensky, you're not going to find
out last. The link is in the description down below.
Join the Ron Yates newsletter for free
right now. So I want to talk about the people
who actually keep this country running. It's
the truckers, guys. Everything you own came on a truck.
Your groceries, your couch, cars,
that phone in your hand.
If trucks stopped tomorrow, store shelves would be empty in
about three days. And we all know how well that went last time, right?
Empty shelves everywhere.
You think eggs are expensive now?
So President Trump, he made a move. Red dye diesel. That's
right. And today I'm announcing another unprecedented step
to bring down costs.
For many years, farm vehicles, construction equipment,
and other off-road vehicles have
used what is known as red dye diesel.
Do you know what that is? I don't know what the hell it is,
but whatever it is, it's supposed to be very good.
Does anybody want to explain that? Red
dye diesel, everybody, which is exactly the same as normal diesel,
but is sold tax-free for the
off-road vehicles and big trucks. So tonight, right?
Oh, these guys know exactly what I'm
talking about, they're going to be very happy in about two seconds.
So tonight I'm going to sign
a historic executive order to officially waive the off-road requirement
and allow anyone to
purchase
tax-free red
dye diesel
for any
reason.
And Jim,
we should
absolutely
assure your
election,
I guarantee you that. What's really going to ensure it,
however, is in a little while that
is going to end and it's going to be an amazing,
and you two guys were great, you stuck with us,
and we have to. Otherwise, we're not going
to have a country anymore. So I appreciate it.
And I'm going to sign this.
What Joe Biden couldn't do, sign his signature.
Joe Biden was incapable.
He could not sign.
He only used auto pens.
Look at that. Isn't that nice?
Now, normally, this is farm and construction fuel,
tractors, bulldozers, no federal tax,
no state laws. It's dyed red so inspectors can spot it.
Now, truckers can use it. Oh,
and it runs about a dollar cheaper.
So here's the key part. The federal waiver is what makes
is legal. Nobody should be scared of getting busted
for filling up with diesel red dye fuel,
okay? But let's be honest with each other, okay?
In plenty of places, off-road diesel is barely
cheaper yet. Maybe a dime here, a nickel there.
Relief that never actually reaches the pump isn't
really relief. It's just a press release.
And so while we're at it, guys, truckers also pay a very
heavy vehicle tax. You may not even be aware of it.
Plus there's a mountain of interstate
fuel tax paperwork that could bury a filing cabinet.
Now, why not waive those too through
2027? The people feeding America shouldn't pay the most to do it,
right? Now, the gas tax. Reports
say that the federal gas tax may disappear before the midterms.
Gone. Poof. Kind of like your
paycheck on rent day? Yeah. Now,
you would think every governor in America would throw a party.
You'd be wrong. In Pennsylvania,
Governor Josh Shapiro's state charges one of the highest gas
taxes in the entire country.
Ask about cutting it, and suddenly everybody in Harrisburg remembers an
urgent dentist appointment.
Yeah, Washington under Bob Ferguson, Oregon under Tina Kotek,
dragging her feet, bold strategy.
Vote for me, I kept your gas expensive. Yeah, put that on a yard
sign and see how well that election goes.
Oh, even in Ohio, under Mike DeWine, drivers watched
prices dip and then creep right on back up,
kind of like a cat you swore you put outside.
Now, the critics scream cutting gas taxes will blow up the deficit. Oh,
now we care about the deficit?
So Washington found billions of dollars for Ukraine every
single time, no problem, no questions,
but a break for a single mom filling up her minivan?
All of a sudden, everybody's an accountant now.
Now, you already know that one person who complains
about gas prices every single week, right?
The trucker, the farmer, your brother-in-law at the
giant pickup, maybe your coworker at work.
Send them this video right now, then drop your local
gas price in the comments. Let's see
who's really getting robbed the worst here. I do want to be
real for a second. Some of you guys are thinking,
great, diesel collapsed, so why did I just pay
$4 for regular? Okay, it's a fair question, guys.
Diesel fell nearly 10% in some places,
but up to 50% in other places.
But if your gas pump hasn't moved, you're not crazy. In fact,
it's called rockets and feathers. Bad news?
Well, prices shoot up like a rocket overnight. Good
news? Prices float back down like a feather,
slowly, gently, taking the scenic route through
three different states it's funny how that works right
and watch the middleman two stations three
blocks apart 40 cents difference same gas same
delivery truck somebody's having a very good
quarter now who normally has a cheaper gas
is it like Shell gas station is it Chevron is it QT is
it Bucky's like who has the cheapest gas typically
let me know ever notice how the prices jump right
before the weekend like right
when you're headed up loading up for the lake pure coincidence totally
oh absolutely sure right here's what nobody explains diesel
is only about a quarter of each
barrel of oil gasoline is nearly half diesel moves first gas follows
so hang on the feathers falling
okay now the critics have arrived calculators out glasses
on very smug right actually they say
300 000 tons is only about half a day
of american diesel oh you know what they're right in fact the
whole deal adds up to about nine days nine shorter than
a family vacation to myrtle beach so why does
it even matter? Because markets don't run on gallons,
they run on feelings. Traders are
basically nervous squirrels with Bloomberg terminals.
If you give them a signal that
supply is coming, all of a sudden prices start sliding before
the first tanker even shows up.
And this is just the first deal. It's not the last.
So now compare that to the old playbook.
You know, when prices spiked under Joe Biden,
Washington drained the Strategic Petroleum
Reserve. This is America's emergency gas tank,
the spare tire in the trunk of the nation. They used
the spare tire for a road trip.
But the typical trucker will save over $100 every time they fill
up. So it's more than $100 each time.
And farmers will also save millions and millions of dollars.
And this order will
also drive down the cost of all goods,
including grocery prices,
very substantially. And it's an honor to do it.
Now, Trump's move brings in new supply instead
of burning up our backup.
Nine days of diesel, zero days of draining the emergency tank. Do the
math guys. So now for the part
that really should make every Californian throw their oat milk latte
at the computer screen. California
is watching two major refineries shut their doors. And diesel out
there? It's six, seven, eight dollars a gallon.
Now at that price, you're not filling up a tank.
You're financing it. Thank you very much, Gavin Newsom.
Oh, and it gets even dumber than that.
California requires its own special gas blend.
Only a handful of refineries can even make this
stuff. So, supply stays tight by design.
This is not a bug. This is the policy working exactly as
it was written. Thanks a lot, Gavin Newsom.
Meanwhile, Europe spent years closing refineries
too. Because nothing says energy security
quite like getting rid of your energy, right?
So, here's the obvious question.
Why aren't we reopening American refineries and calling it what
it is? National security.
In an emergency, why not just override that special California blend,
right? Because think about it. Think about where we are, guys.
America is buying diesel from Russia
because we closed our own refineries slowly.
Trump didn't skip Sacramento by choice,
Sacramento left him no option.
This was Russia's way of saying thank you,
said Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky,
slamming the Trump administration for moving
to ease Moscow's exports of diesel.
That's because Ukraine has struck oil refineries
inside Russia on average once every three days
in the first eight months of this year,
according to the International Energy Agency.
Ukraine's aim? To choke off Russia's ability
to sell oil and fund its war. So now I do want to talk about
Ukraine's favorite hobby, blowing up Russian refineries.
Yeah, drone after drone, refinery
after refinery, and Vladimir Zelensky's team calls it strategy.
Here's the problem with that
strategy, Mr. Zelensky. Diesel doesn't care about borders.
When a refinery in Russia goes up in
smoke, the world has less diesel.
Less diesel means higher prices and higher prices land right
on your receipt in Ohio, right in Texas,
and right in Tennessee. So congratulations,
Ukraine just figured out how to bomb Russia
and charge it to your credit card.
And diesel's not just for trucks.
It runs trains and cars and tractors and cargo ships,
military jets, commercial airplanes.
The whole world basically runs on diesel. Mess with diesel,
you're basically messing with everybody's dinner.
This is why President Trump and his envoys are
pushing both sides to stop hitting refineries and fuel.
And yes, fair is fair,
guys, Russia has to stop too.
This isn't about picking a team, it's about one simple rule,
stop blowing up the stuff that feeds everybody.
Now, remember the sanctions on Russia? For years,
we were told they were forever, unbreakable,
carved in stone, sacred, like grandma's meatloaf
recipe. Well, guess what just happened?
The US Treasury Department just eased those sanctions
through April 7th, overnight.
They even wrote a special license that allows Russian diesel to
be sold, shipped, and unloaded around the world,
forever, with an expiration date. Yeah, kinda like
milk. I can already hear the cable news panels melting down already.
Oh, this is an absolute
disaster. This rewards Russia.
Okay, guys, let's ask a simple question. What did four years of
sanctions actually get us? The war didn't end.
Russia did not collapse. Europe's energy bills
went through the roof and your gas got more expensive.
This is quite the track record. If a mechanic did
that to your truck, you'd probably find a new mechanic.
So Washington tried something different.
Use the rules to get fuel moving.
Cheaper diesel now, leverage for peace later. Wild idea.
actually getting some results. Hmm. Okay.
So now I want to head over to the Middle East. Go ahead
and grab your sunscreen, guys. You're going to need it.
Unless you want to wear a hijab and full
suit. But here's a narrow strip of water out there called
the Strait of Hormuz. You know,
a huge chunk of the world's oil squeezes right
on through this Hormuz area. It's basically the
drive-thru lane for the planet's gas.
Right now, oil from America's gas partners is flowing again
near pre-war levels. Iran's oil blocked.
U.S. blockade. Iran is sitting in the drive-thru
with no car. And Trump's line hasn't moved an inch.
Iran does not get a nuclear weapon, period.
So a U.S. ambassador on Fox explained something important.
Crude oil and refining are two
different problems. Oil from the ground is not fueling your gas tank.
It has to be cooked first.
Fixing the Strait of Hormuz helps the crude.
The Russia deal helps the cooked stuff.
Now, some hawks warn,
make a deal and leave Iran's revolutionary guard in power and we're
going to be right back here in five years.
That's a fair worry. Peace has to actually stick. Now,
let's talk about NATO.
For years, billions of dollars, summit after summit, fancy hotels,
group photos, very serious faces.
Peace deals produced, zero. Meanwhile, Canada, under Prime
Minister Mark Carney, keeps writing checks.
Europe keeps writing checks. Everybody's writing
checks, but nobody's writing a peace treaty.
Now, at some point, you got to ask, who's actually
benefiting from this war that's never ending.
Because it's not the soldiers, and it's definitely
not you at the gas pump. So here's the hard truth.
Ukraine survives on American support. That means
Washington holds the cards. Not Kiev, not Brussels.
And the goal cannot be marching on Moscow.
Napoleon tried that. Hitler tried that.
Both brought much bigger armies. Both went home cold,
hungry, and humiliated. And Russia has nuclear weapons.
Poking a nuclear bear with drones,
that's not bravery. That's gambling
your grandkids' future. Now, President Trump made
one phone call and suddenly the two men
who can actually end this war are on the same page.
So now, the media has found its favorite word.
Stunt. Yeah, Trump's diesel deal is just a
midterm stunt. Oh, well, yeah, okay, it's October,
politicians do election things in October. This
is like being shocked that Santa shows up in December.
Now, call it Hunt for Red October
Midterm Edition, starring President Trump
as the submarine captain. And there may be more
surprises coming. Russia, Iran,
either one could deliver an October surprise before November. But
here's the bigger picture almost nobody's even talking about.
Greenland, Canada, the Arctic,
new shipping lanes opening up at the top
of the world could someday become a highway for the US-Russia
trade. That could reshape the entire global economy.
And here's a view that's catching on.
Russia never really wanted to be China's best friend.
It just got shoved there. Normal relations
with America might just pull it back.
Now, if that's a stunt, give me more stunts. So where
does this really leave us guys well maybe just maybe
at the edge of something huge Ukraine Iran
Gaza now imagine one giant peace deal that ends it all
not a ceasefire that lasts until lunch but
a real ending that would be good for literally everyone
on earth right because here's what
americans are tired of we always get dragged
into everybody else's wars and we pay for them
we send our weapons we send the money
and somehow we still get left with the bill at the gas pump
enough, right? And to our neighbors that are watching from Canada
and around the world who
want the same thing, welcome. Team North America.
I want to be clear here, guys. I don't hate
Russians. I don't hate Ukrainians.
My faith tells me not to hate people, okay? Christ said,
peace be with you. And that's what I want for everybody.
So vote, share this, and tell us what
gas costs where you live.
Now, folks, the diesel is moving, the sanctions bent, the phone call
happened. Now we find out who's really keeping
your gas price high. Now, if this video made
sense of the chaos, hit the like button on the way out.
One click, totally free. Costs less
than a gallon of California diesel,
which admittedly is not hard. Now, if you're not
subscribed, go ahead and fix that, guys.
Gas prices move on Fridays. Sanctions expire in
April. And somewhere a governor is guarding
a gas tax like it's the last slice of pizza.
So who's keeping track of all of that for you?
The Ron Yates Report. It's free. It's a totally
free newsletter that tells you when prices are about to jump
and when relief is actually coming
and what to do before the gas pump surprises you.
Cheaper than diesel, literally free.
I left a link for you in the description down below.
