The statement by Chief of the Russian General Staff Valery Gerasimov about the capture of the villages of Palamarovka and Kovalivka in the Kupyansk direction, as well as an advance toward the village of Shevchenkovo, is pure fantasy . This was stated in a Telegram message from the Joint Forces Group.

It is noted that a map from the American Institute for the Study of War from October 16 demonstrates the actual discrepancy between Russian claims and reality, particularly in the Velykoburluk direction. It states that the Russian-claimed "zone of control" is more than twice the actual size, allowing for an overall assessment of Russian propaganda.

"Even more fantastic, however, is General Gerasimov's statement about the capture of the villages of Palamarovka and Kovalevka in the Kupyansk direction, as well as about an advance towards the village of Shevchenkovo. The village of Shevchenkovo simply didn't fit on this map. It's located 30 kilometers west of the nearest Russian positions as the crow flies," the statement reads.

The UOS joked that in their area of responsibility there are two demarcation lines – a real one and a fictitious one, recorded in the reports of the Russian General Staff.

"The difference between them is hundreds of square kilometers. We can't stop the Russians from moving along these imaginary lines, but the Defense Forces are currently doing an effective job of maintaining the real lines on the ground," the statement said.

It is emphasized that everything that Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Federation Gerasimov recently reported to the Kremlin leader can only be explained by the following factors: the desire to mislead one's own management; the desire to formulate a position for diplomatic negotiations in order to include frankly fantastic whims in the list of demands; severe alcohol or drug intoxication; a combination of the above factors. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that our soldiers have liberated more territory since the beginning of autumn than the Russians managed to capture .

He emphasized, responding to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's recent statement about the seizure of Dobropillya, that settlements such as Dobropillya, Konstantinovka, Alekseevo-Druzhkovka, Orekhov, Novopavlovka, Novoandreyevka and Velikomikhailovka are under Ukrainian control.

Zelensky said Ukraine continues to exert pressure on the front while destroying Russians "20 kilometers from Zaporizhzhia, not five, as someone in Russia is fantasizing to Putin."
